I was very pleased with the information given. It was very helpful in planning to prepare myself for my 1st home
Great and helpful counselors to help you get approved and under fantastic terms! I suggest everyone should give them a try. They treat you super well and help with every aspect of your mortgage!
NACA has a great program to help you understand the home buying process. Their first seminar gives a good history of the company. Their interest rates are lower than any competitor, no downpayments and no closing costs. I looked into FHA loans but there isn't as much interaction as NACA and you don't need perfect credit
I have mixed feelings about my NACA experience. I've been a member since May 2020 and my file has not made it to the underwriter yet. We have had 5 different mortgage counselors(MC) since 5/20. I'm wondering why there is such a large turnover in mortgage counselors. I get the impression that the MC's may be overwhelmed with their caseloads. Communication with our MC's was sketchy. I've sent numerous emails only to get no reply. We had one MC that dropped our case w/o notifying us. We had to find out from the main office that she had transferred to a different department. Communication has been frustrating to say the least.
What I like about the NACA program is there is no down payment required, interest rates are typically below market rate, there are no closing costs, there is the opportunity to buy down the interest rate at a reasonable price. I feel that the NACA program is the best mortgage available. So I will continue to be diligent and patient until we get our house.
I started program in 2021. Still working on it. Initially I was so frustrated, completely exhausted, depressed. 1st counselor was not very helpful. 2nd counselor is so helpful and knowledgeable. The time it takes, the lack of follow up, not responding to texts and emails make this program very difficult to maneuver. This is a good program. Patience is definitely a good thing.
NACA is a hidden gem for first time homebuyers; its almost unreal. No down payment or closing costs. Competitive interest rates. I will say that it is a meticulous and lengthy process but not impossible. Be diligent in doing your part
NACA has really changed the game with their system updates! The process is so much easier! I started back in February of 2021 and although it may seem like the process has taken me a while I've learned so much about my finances. Which, to me as an African American is so important. I wasn't taught how to save my money growing up but with NACA their budget form really allows you to see just where and how much money you're spending and where you can save. It started off as just wanting to purchase a home but with NACA I'm learning that this is a Home I want to be able to KEEP! It will be a home I'll be able to AFFORD, yesterday, today AND TOMORROW! So be patient with the process, NACA is preparing their recipients for success! You will fail if you don't prepare yourself. NACA is here to prepare you, trust the process, follow your action plan, upload your documents regularly (so that it isn't overwhelming) communicate with your counselor, join the FB groups for information- communicate with your partner/ family if you aren't purchasing alone and be PATIENT! When you're ready NACA will be there!
Tip for consumers:
Make sure your financial documents are in order and up to date!
Naca is a great program that can help people to purchase an affordable homes. It also helps with closing cost, down payment assistance and most importantly approved home loan.
This process was not easy, but it was so worth it. Our agent, Avril Liburd went above and beyond for us and enabled us to close on our very first home in this hectic market. We had a final interest rate of 0.75! Would definitely recommend, but just be patient and trust the process
My experience with NACA so far has been great. If you're a first time homebuyer I really recommend this program. I've waited to buy a house and I feel like going this route will help keep me away from predatory lenders and first time home buyer issues. My counselor Antonio is a wealth of knowledge and a delight to work with!
NACA is a great program with many opportunities to own your home. Councilors are great however the program's systems to upload documents is unfriendly. NACA need to make it simpler for who are interested in the program to use. It should be user friendly.
NACA is a great program that helps anyone to achieve their dream in term of purchasing home no matter how low their income is or type of work they do
I'll like to thank NACA for their services and support during the process. My console was is very helpful and always has the responds to my question.
I am currently working with NACA organization. I have always received great information and their representatives have been very helpful assisting me with the home buying process. This is a great organization! This process has provided me with the tools needed to work on my budget in order to achieve my goals. I am really grateful.
NACA is a good mortgage company. They don't go based upon your credit, or your student loan debt. They will also help you set up a manageable budget.

Happy to hopefully close on a house soon with the help of Naca! It is a long process but I know it will be worth it in the end.
I found out about NACA while researching homebuyer assistance programs through the internet. After going to the workshop, I'm now in the final stages of qualification and approval and my counselor has been very patient and helpful throughout my process.
I think that NACA is a really helpful program for those who earn a low income. I have not too long started the process and it looks like a very good program. I hope to get qualified soon so I can purchase my own home. My counsellor is an excellent person and I have faith and trust that she will help me to be a homeowner soon. Thank you so much NACA for helping people to own a home!
I'm in the middle of my experience with NACA, but let me tell you they are wonderful. My counselor, Charmion, has spelled everything out in an easy to understand way. I've had no trouble gathering the info they needed, they've explained everything well. Even beyond the benefits they offer, the process, while lengthy, is so easy to follow. They recently revamped their online software to upload your documents and it is WAY better than before. I'm actually excited to go through this with them and close on my home!
