I signed up with myUS through an offer claiming to have waived the annual Premium fee for 2 years. However, 13 months into the relationship with MyUS, i recently learned that I was being charged a fee on monthly basis. Upon raising a question through live chat session with Teresa, she quickly acknowledged the problem and applied my membership discount. L
You wont have any issues with Myus. I don't know what the policy for Joburg, Africa is, but sending goods to here in Australia they have the True price shipping policy which means you only pay for the parcels actual weight.Not its volume. I recently received a 60 pound -2 piece shipment and with the discounts i received as a new member the cost was nearly half what it would have been from anyone else. I would definitely suggest you choose Fedex economy as your preferred shipping carrier with Myus for anywhere in Africa.

I had an item that cost $7, could not request shipment because I was expecting other items, as a result service charge was incured. Explain the case to Kristen when I was ready to ship and she waived about 60% of the service charge.

Sometimes things go wrong. That's inevitable and understandable. But the way a company handles an issue is the true test of the company. In this instance one of my packages went missing and didn't arrive with the rest of the order.
I called the help line and a lady named Marnie took my call. She was extremely pleasant, patient and helpful. Not only did she manage to locate the missing package (it was delivered to another suite by accident for someone who happened to have the same name), but also arranged a discount for the shipping based off the cost, had the missing package been shipped with the rest of my items. I would have been happy with the service as was but she went the extra mile.
I've had some pretty bad customer service experiences in the past and generally expect the worst when I call a help line so this really was a pleasant surprise. I'll definitely be recommending MyUS.com to everyone I can. Thank you again.

Answer: Micaela, it all depends on the rules in Peru. I'm a MyUS customer and one of the reasons I like their service is because they give me a discount on the shipping cost, each time. There's an option in your shipping settings where you can select 'label as gift', usually customs aren't charged on gift items. Maybe you should try that once. Works for me all the time.
