It takes forever to connect to their agents and their agents are incredibly slow in responding.
Inaccurate package information being updated on packages, I pointed it out clearly based on the Amazon shopping page, the weight was updated as 114 lbs whereas it was 74 lbs clearly mentioned on Amazon as shipping weight. I can understand a couple of pounds plus/minus, but a whooping 40 lbs is too much.
Also, before shipping a TV to them, I asked their customer care agent if it would be fine to ship it to Japan, and they assured me it would be fine and now they claim that they need to pass it through some sort of Magnetic Review Process, as the TV contains a magnet. If there was such a process, why isn't there any thing mentioned on FAQs.
Even if a percent chance exists that its rejected during this process, I might me looking at a potential loss of a lot of money.
I had a query on the packages that were delivered to my suite that didn't reflect, so I used the Online Chat service. I contacted the service from South Africa at 09:38AM, meaning a 6 hour time difference with Sarasota, being 03:34AM. I didn't expect an answer, given the business hours message that appeared, so I was about to disconnect, but then I got connected to Abubaker, and he was excellent! Really good explanations, professional, polite, 'personal' in that it wasn't one of those typical "pre-scripted", "fit-this-question-into-a-standard-type-answer" exchange. He was really helpful, investigating my particular details and answering my specific questions. Thanks Abubaker, you turned my initial dissatisfaction into a positive encounter, and I look forward to further positives when it gets to shipping and delivering the items to me. Much appreciated.

Answer: Micaela, it all depends on the rules in Peru. I'm a MyUS customer and one of the reasons I like their service is because they give me a discount on the shipping cost, each time. There's an option in your shipping settings where you can select 'label as gift', usually customs aren't charged on gift items. Maybe you should try that once. Works for me all the time. I hope someone from MyUS will respond to your question and give you a more satisfying answer. All the best.
