I am a one man shop and the customer service and support is a tremendous help. There are times I get stuck and having a professional available to log on and go thru the return with me and help direct me and point out if I have an error where I went wrong is a great service. I used to work in a multi preparer office and had others to run ideas by, now I have an online tech to help out. The fact that it is cloud based has allowed me to sign in at a clients location and work on the program correct entries if they have additional documents and reprint right in their homes has saved me many hours of going back and forth. I appreciate that they are updating and improving every year as well. All over great program

I used this software for several years even though there were ongoing issues with it. I stuck with them, mainly because their support personnel were very good. I had a "lifetime guarantee" of the price I paid when I first became a customer but they way they have wriggled out of their promise was to simply tell me that they were not going to offer me a renewal option this year! Their lame excuse was that "I had too many service requests". Mind you, every request was a valid problem with the software or the way the program responded to certain entries. I never asked a tax question, just a request for development to correct a glitch or guidance about how to make the software respond in the way I knew it needed to to give me the correct answer. If it had been a quality product, this would not have been necessary. I guess you really do get wat you pay for so this year, I will pay more for my software but it looks like it will be a much better product!

I love MyTaxPrepOffice

I have been a client since the start of this company and although the first couple of years was tough, they always worked hard to solve problems and the staff is so very helpful. Over the last 4 years, they have added features that make my job as a tax preparation specialist easier and easier. You must take the training and work on sample returns because every software program is different.

Why 5 Stars!

If you are doing 300 returns or less then this software is worth the challenges. I have been using this software since 2015 and yes there were issues but those issue forced me to be a better tax preparer. I do returns alone and need to keep my overhead as low as possible and this software has allowed me to achieve this and provide excellent pricing to my clients. For these reasons I give this software 5 stars, low purchase price and it gets the job done. The rest depends on me!

Features are great, but sometimes credits are not calculated correctly, we have to be carefully when finalizing return. We still going to work this year with this company. We hope those issues get resolved.

I have used this software since the 2014 tax year and find it to be outstanding! I have had occasion to ask for help and when I do I get my issues resolved. This software is a breeze to use and with online access I never have to worry about loosing access to older returns. It's a breeze to rollover the prior year returns. I have been in practice for 34 years and used several tax programs in that period and found this too be the BEST of all, even when compared with much more expensive software packages.

As for me I would not even consider changing to another software package.
Thanks MyTaxPrepOffice for outstanding software with excellent support and a very reasonable price!

I have been using MTPO for a number of years. I believe I used it the first year that they were accepted by the IRS as a filing solution. I am not a large preparer and found that the support and the interface were adequate for my small tax prep business. From the beginning, i had questions and reservations about the answers to some of my questions but they all passed IRS scrutiny, so I grew to have confidence. They have made significant changes to their for the 2019 filing of tax returns and I am apprehensive about using the program this season; I will but I am apprehensive. I believe that the printing of the returns is my biggest grievance. I try to do as much client communication electronically as i can, though my gripe will seem trivia to many it is large with me, When I produce copies for my clients I want them to be able to print their forms with no problems in hte presentation of this forms. The issue I am critical of is that when it prints to. PDF, it does not include a blank page for the back of forms that are intended to be blank. If that were accomplished I feel that i would raise my rating to at least 4.5 stars out of 5. I will continue to use it for my filings until I either outgrow it it become too expensive for me to use.

My TaxPrep Software

I have used various software over the years of tax filings, I can say without a doubt that My TaxPrep Software has by far been the best software and the easiest to use that I have seen. I would advise anyone using anything other than this software to make the switch. You have a gang of those out there selling software only to be attached to your entire business, with their name where yours is supposed to be. HMMMM.

Best software ive used.

This software is the best. I have my own small business and my tax prep office makes it easy to keep track of all my clients and great for entering tax payer information. I have used the online help several times and they respond rapidly and I have never had a problem that they could not work out ASAP. Happy Customer

Even though they supposedly gave me a 2nd year for free. I will not use this software again. They claimed it was a Client Portal. Not once did it upload W-2s for my clients. To get my client's copies of their returns, if they did not capture it during the signing, I had to DocuSign the return. They could not even file my S-Corp's State return. I had issues with Individual state returns. I did 20 some returns and there was not one of them that I did not curse this program over. I have been doing taxes since 1988 and used Drake, Tax Works, Lacerte, Ultra Tax and more. I'm going back to Drake. Don't buy their story. Their support people were even frustrated with the constant changes and not knowing how to help the client's.

AFFORDABLE TAX SOFTWARE

I HAVE BEEN USING THIS SOFTWARE FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS AND I LOVE IT A LOT. I WILL CONTINUE USE IT IN THE FUTURE. ALTHOUGH IT IS NOT POPULAR AS OTHER WELL KNOWN SOFTWARE LIKE INTUIT SOFTWARE, ETC., IT IS GOOD ENOUGH TO FILE INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES TAX RETURNS CORRECTLY. HOWEVER, I HAD SOME ISSUES USING IT AT THE BEGINNING WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO USE IT CORRECTLY. AFTER REPEATED CONTACTING LIVE TECHNICAL SUPPORTS WHO HELPED ME SOLVING THE ISSUES, I UNDERSTOOD THE SOFTWARE BETTER. I BELIEVE THAT BUYERS NEED TO TAKE TIME TO GET USED TO IT. I WISH EVERYONE HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY

I have been doing taxes for 24 years. Until last year I used a different program that was hard to navigate, very costly and Hard to get help when needed. I started using My Tax Pro Last year. Wow! I love the workflow, the ease of use, the updates on filed returns, and the customer help when needed. I would recommend this program to anyone doing taxes! Also, The Customer service is excellent! Nancy helped me to day and I did not feel like I was imposing, and solved my problems swiftly. Thank you!

At best it is a joke!

When the sales person approached me in September 2019, he stated that the software provides client portal for data exchange, the software had the capacity to convert returns from my exiting platform, their tech support was comparable to Drake Tax and many upgrades were coming. Surprise! Today is January 7,2020 and they are still struggling with the conversions, the portal is iffy at best and no one answers the phones. Its a joke! I have requested a refund! Let's see how that goes! Its a joke!
