I thought it was free, so I create a resume and when was done you have to pay $2 something. So for little money is not worth creating a new one on word. I agree the website is not upfront telling you is not free, but again was cheap. Then it says is a free 14 day trial and it cost $25/month after the trial, but you can cancel it if you don't want to get charge monthly. And that's what I did, I called customer service number and they helped me out and the person on the phone was very nice.

I made the silly mistake of accidentally signing up for a subscription when I just tried to get a resume. The were very understanding and kind and even refunded all of my subscription money. Great company!

I did not know that it is a two wk trial subscription so we did not cancel. I called customer service and explained what happened. The person was very nice and without a problem he credited our $27.95 monthly membership.

I believe they use nothing but deceptive marketing! They don't tell you there is a fee and that you can't print your resume unless you pay the fee until after you have spent the time and have everything entered on their website. I would be willing to bet that all these nice fluffy reviews on here are from employees of the company!

Keep in mind that MyPerfectResume is a resume builder that gives the user a chance to try our service prior to commit to a full access subscription. Once you finish editing your resume, the service allows you to download the free text version of the resume or save it in your account for further review. The options for emailing, downloading and printing the resume in Word format are part of the full access subscription. To further our user experience, we provide the option of a 14-day trial for a small fee.
When you select our 14-day trial enrollment, it provides all details on screen that after the 14th day it will auto enroll into the monthly subscription service. It also explains, that you can cancel at any given time. This alert is also given when the credit card information is requested where it explains that, unless you cancel, you automatically authorize us to charge your account every four weeks at the current rate of the subscription.
Lastly, when you finish your enrollment process, an e-mail is sent explaining this as well.

I have been charged 5 months for a service by My Perfect Resumes own admission for an account that is inactive and they cannot find, so therefore cannot reimburse the charges.
After going back and forth with them they told me the only way they could find my account and see that I was actually charged would be by me sending them copies of the charge from my bank statements. I immediately sent them the 5 charges that appeared on my banking statement and since have not heard back from them despite contacting them several times since. When they respond at first via email I was never given a name or a ticket number to reference this issue. Don't download a template or use their site they are crooked and very unprofessional. They have no customer service are not helpful and how can a company conveniently charge a persons account that they have been told and agree they do not have and yet at the same time can't find the charge so cannot reimburse?

Yaritza M was my customer service rep. I called to cancel my service because I no longer needed it. She handled my request very quickly. My debit card had just been charged the previous day for my monthly service, and she was able to get that refunded for me. Have been charged for 6 months without know - never downloaded anything from this site which was confirmed by the representative I spoke to!
I never received any email or invoices - the company just decided to start charging me after a year with no heads up.
Called to get a refund and I spoke to a helpful representative who advised in 24-48hours someone would contact me about the charges... 4 days later I'm still waiting.

My customer id is *******. I have subscribed this site before 2 month back. I used this site one month after subscription and also payed money for that service. At the same month unsubscribe this site but no use they had cut money from my account. I sent a mail to their customer support, No use they are not responding my mail.

Answer: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a very organized person who worked for the state that I reside in as an investigator. I had an injury and had to make a change in my career. I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
