I have had a subscription with My Heritage for a few years now. I have found it very easy to use and I have built a very detailed tree with all the information that I have found. I recommend My Heritage to as many of my friends as I can.
Everyone tried hard to identify the issues and with many communications they finally did. Your systems are not the easiest to navigate is some cases.
Don't understand why people put in 6 or 7 residences and also include all the census and all are same town

I just recently moved my family tree from one site to MyHeritage. I'm setting MyHeritage up as my main site for storing all of my family tree information. I loved how the consistency checker found errors when I transferred my tree over. I'm still learning how to move around and find information during searches, but it usually is an "Oh that makes sense" when I figure it out. Looking forward to adding to my family tree, with my extended membership to 2028.

Had no idea who my great grand parents were. Found out that my friend who I have know for at least thirty years was my third cousin. The setup of this organisation is a hundred years better than a few years ago, the spread of information is enormous but getting to your tree has been been easier and much of it is done for you.
I think the sources are limited. Unless you take a DNA test and build a family tree there is limited registry data available and you are only matched to non-professional trees.
I think it would be better to have more information since sweden has such a vast registry available. Especially for the price.
Researching and cross-referencing information on the MyHeritage.com website is almost too easy. The amount of information is more than I expected, especially considering the frequency of matches from other family heritage trees. There is always more information available to refine what you may have so far.

I kept having problems logging in, access was blocked for 24 hours. This happened a few times. I had contact either the support and told them what I had tried but they kept telling me what I should do. Exactly what I had done in vain and what I had told them.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
