The support I recieved today by calling them was fantastic, The woman was very helpful, and made me understand the issue I was having, However, I sent them an email regarding this issue 3 weeks ago, and NEVEB got a response. She saw that and apologized, but I would not suggest Emailing when have an issue, This is a great site to build your tree, gives you lots of help, and you can build it back to the year 1500 without too much effort. Time, but not effort, LOL
I started on tree along time ago. So when rejoining again I made the mistake of renaming so this caused me to talk to myself. It has been sorted out very quickly and i was able to retrieve a very old photo which I thought I had lost. Very pleased with My Heritage. Thank you
Growing up the 2 heritages that was known for certain was that I had a lot of German, my grandfather was adopted, but in researching his natural parents, they were from Germany with a very German last name, so they probably didn't just immigrate from Great Britain. The other well known fact, my grandparents knew of them in the family tree was Native American. I am suppose to have Native American on both sides, more on my maternal side, but one known of on my Paternal side as well, and this isn't that far back, so I would think it would show up in some manner. But mine shows primarily British/Irish- Well that's possible, from my maternal side, then it's broken down from there, but not a speck of German or Native American. I even looked up where Native American were before migrating to US and they were from Asia, but I don't have any of that either. I don't know how you can prove the legitimacy of this, but I'm not certain that it is accurate.
Very, very disappointed in the limited amount of information provided to me. I expected so much more detail regarding who my relatives on both my mother and father's side were. Cannot believe you think that the information you provided was sufficient. I was expecting so much more. Also your site is not USER FRIENDLY. It seems to me you are interested in getting good reviews rather than actually helping the people who paid good money to find out the information that you did not provide. Following answer time consuming and confusing might take a month to accomplish. My husbands DNA didn't tell us much. All the people were distant relatives couldn't tell us anything. So we're back where we started.
I have been trying for 4 weeks to get results of DNA kit testing. Was told it would be available Feb 22 thru March 8th. Have contacted them by email 3 times. Tried calling and have been in due for at least 45 minutes (number 39 in line) Suddenly call is terminated. Surely someone out there can reply. I hope your kit has better results.
After several years of genealogical reasearch, I was curious about my family genetic background. When the results came back 87% British no problem. It was the 9% Eastern European that threw me. 6 generations maternal and paternal show NO names or nationalities linked to Eastern Europe. When I finally got through the nearly 1 hr hold in line, I was told that since it was a "beta" system that I should realize that they were ethnic estimates and shouldn't be used in hand with actual data reasearch.
In other words... I was scammed! I want my money back!

Got my results and my daughters results back today and they are a joke! Don't know where they are pulling these results from but they are very wrong and inaccurate! The results said we are 87.2% British and Irish. VERY WRONG! 8.2% Eastern Europe. WRONG AGAIN! 4.6% Ashkenazi Jewish NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE or MY FAMILIES KNOWLEDGE! Actually my guess is they are pulling information and doing research from my married last name! This is more for my husband and not me. So My Heritage is scamming people out of their money and they are a fraud. For my daughters results, I'm pretty sure they just tweaked the percentages because she has the same results as myself.
Save your money and go somewhere else! I would like a refund as these results are WRONG and NOT MY RESULTS!
Problem blamed on Internet Explorer but after logging in using Microsoft Edge and a temporary password, Internet Explorer now works fine for logging in. Must have been a glich.

I need more than east or west. So far you made me an orphan. We have the same parents. Both from quebec canada. They are both french. You made me english and irish. My brothers and sisters went to ancestry.com and got different results. My results are too different from theirs. Please correct my test or are you people a scam?
Due to possible web site errors (or me), my card was charged twice. I emailed customer service and got almost immediate resolution that day. I would have given 5 stars, but I was disappointed no one answered the phone before I decided to email.
Tried repeatedly to call customer service and either got a busy signal or recording saying that there was nobody here call later. However, being frustrated I sent an email describing my problem that I with my order and they immediately sent me a confirmation and the next day a detail response resolving my problem.
I was trying to fix a technical problem during the renewal of my membership. The technical support was very helpful and kind. They also offered me a better price for my membership (which is great!).
The only thing that was annoying is that the offer included the price before taxes (so at least in Israel the gap is not so cheap). When I mentioned it, they tried compensate with a discount for future purchases at the website
The results I received I know are incorrect as both of my grandparents on my fathers side came from germany. It is impossible that I am 73% english/ Irish. I want my money back as I paid for 3.
Do not use this DNA testing site. You cannot contact them. They are "closed for lunch" 24 hours a day. I paid $78.00 U. S for this scam... I feel so stupid I did not check the reviews first!

I am still awaiting my dna results the latest deadline for my results says 21st March 2017. Is there a problem you need to tell the public. Why are our results not ready on time. And after reading the rest of the reviews I am now getting worried I may not get results. Pauline H
I paid over £100 for membership. I quickly increased the number of names in my tree. Then My Heritage suggested that I move to family tree with them I did so and instead of having 4400 names they lost over 3000 of them. They could not find the names so I had to re-impute them again. Still have not recovered more than a 1000 names.
Then I could not access the discoveries on the website. I emailed them 3 times and they promise action. Two weeks later no telephone calls, no emails no contact.
I suggest that you try another family tree site.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).
Answer: If you are looking to get as many connections to your tree that you can, use My Heritage. If you want flexibility in who is added to your tree, use Ancestry.

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.

Within your FTB software you may need to adjust the setting to allow the opening of your family site when you start the software. To do this you will need to open your FTB software and then click on the grey tool bar Tools > Options. When the window opens then click on General in the left menu and you will then see the option "Show my sites page on startup". You will need to click on this once and then to the right use the little black arrow and select Yes and then click on the green OK.
This will ensure that when you start your FTB software from the desktop icon your family site will also be opened for you.
