I started with Myheritage with all hopes high. For about two years with a premium subscription I was happy working with it. The software did not work, but at least the website was up and running. I even used my MyHeritage Tree as my master base (I have trees on multiple services.
That is until I received a notice that the webspace was full, even although the site says that premium members have unlimited data. For weeks my requests to solve this issue went unanswered. This was getting annoying.
Since I could not add any more people, I used another service as master, planning on migrating it back to MyHeritage once the data issue was solved.
So I uploaded my updated tree once the issue was solved. Unfortuntately they have since then removed the delete function on my website. This means that I suddenly had two trees, on outdated one and an updated one with no means to remove the outdated one.
Again I started the crusade to get support on this. After a few weeks I received a call and they said that a technical person would call me to sort it out. A few days later I discovered that they had removed one of the trees without my knowledge. The newer one.
I have cancelled my subsciption and any attempt to get some reaction from them has gone unanswered.
It is safe to say that I would not recommend this service to anyone.
I Called MyHeritage in regard to a DNA sample. Although the wait time was excessive, when Nadja got on the line she guided me through the resolution process quickly. I had a couple of questions unrelated to the original subject that were resolved almost immediately. I was impressed by Nadya's knowledge base, her patience, and her kindness.
After few weeks I decided to cancel my PremiumPlus subscription and also Data subscription because it is too expensive to me I do not satisfied with services. I wrote to MyHeritage stuff and they give me my money back as they wrote in Money back guarantee and Refund Policy. It takes about one week, so I am satisfied and feel that I have to share it with others! It means that they respect their customers and honor the agreement. Thanks!
I had a trickyproblem at the technical assistant (Female) at My Heiitage was very patient and helpful, taking me through numerous steps to track down the posslbe cause and problem.
When it got to 1:30am my time, she agreed to look at the upload screen dumps I hadsent and to get back to me the next day (evening my time). She in-fact called my and clairfied the problem and solution - I was most impressed
I have sent them several emails regarding the money I wasted into the company since November 2016, but not once have they contacted me back. Why do they include their "contact info" on their website if they have no intention whatsoever to even reply to customers who have paid over 80 euros (or in my case, 100 euros, equal to approximately 106 dollars) for their services? I am saying this literally; this is the worst company I've ever had to deal with in my entire life. Do not waste any of your money to their products, you will give your money away to unprofessional people who are motivated to take your money yet completely unmotivated to give you what they promised to give in return. I am considering suing this company. Wasted my money completely.
The package is far more bigger than I expected when I started with it. I started my search without MyHeritage back in 1976 a manual labour intensive process. It was a straight through process with only directly related relatives of mine. MyHeritage helped me to do all the branches big and small.
We had considerable difficulty in downloading the Raw Data from our DNA tests. Maya spent considerable time in helping us to fix the problems we were having with Edge Browser and our Mail app. Her patience and help resolved our problem and we now have our raw data and assistance in interpreting it.

I've just got off the phone having spoken with Olivia at My Heritage and I just had to tell someone about it. My Heritage is good, maybe the best, I've always felt this, but since the the phone conversation it has risen even higher in my estimate. They are professional!
DO NOT use MyHeritage if you are considering getting your DNA tested to learn about you ethnic background!
I submitted my DNA to this company on January 5,2017. Their website states that you can "view your results online in 3-4 weeks".
It has been 11 weeks and I have not received results!
After calling customer support dozens of times, I was able to get through once, (after waiting on hold for 55 mins) about 4 weeks ago, and was told that I would receive my results in about a week. Since then, I have called over and over, during business hours, and all I get is a recording that states that they are closed and to call back another time.
You would think that a company who has my DNA in their possession would at least make the effort to communicate with me

How can you use the Ref.#, gs film #, digital folder #, and film # to help further info. When I do get a family member I do see the additional numbers, but how can i get to them for possible help.
My family has resided in a small mountain village outside of Naples for over 300 years. My grandfathers a Hungarian nobleman his family ruled what was Transylvania and is now in Romania for over 1000 years. My DNA test came back 30% British and 30% Spanish it seems like it might have been contaminated by the people operating the test, fo I consider this proved to be scientifically inadequate and totally inappropriate I think they just assign history to whatever they wish. Maybe theyre latter Day Saints and so are only looking for certain ethnic strands I would never pay do this again* nor recommend this service to my family Friends or acquaintance neither should you!
My wife and I both got DNA kits and she has received her results already. Mine, however, have not been updated yet. We sent them in months ago and every time we call, there is a wait of 20+ people or the offfice is closed. It's interesting though because when we first got involved with this company, they were able to call us when they saw we were using the program to sell us the premium membership. They sure have customer support when they're making their money, but when they've dropped the ball, they seem to not want to be held accountable. I don't suggest people use this company.
I could not read a character in my activation code. It is impossible to contact MYHeritage by phone, therefore I cannot use my kit. I would suggest a service that is customer friendly. MYHeritage is not!

I received my kit, and my results in a timely manor, it all went down hill from there. My DNA test from My Heritage showed no evidence of my American Indian ethnicity, but I have records that indicate that I'm of Indian descent The people that were listed as sharing my DNA do not exist in my family tree. After I sent an e-mail to complain, I could not longer access the information that was sent to me in its entirety. I don't understand what's going on and I cannot reach My Heritage by phone.
Customer service is nil! Tried to get through about a charge. Called immediately about the charge and could not speak to anyone about it because I was assigned "Chris" through a trouble ticket and he was not there. I left them my correct phone number and they stated they called, and they never called me, if they had, they would have left a message. Never received email either, or a response to the trouble ticket. On hold for hours and not getting through, disconnected several times. Their business hours end way before the time stated on the website and they have no weekend and evening hours. Would not refund the charge and arrogant on the phone. If you want to keep customers, make them happy! AVOID This company! Ancestry is much better.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
