Everybody always read all of the terms and conditions. So it is my fault. I started this in arizona. Got back to the fortyninth state in the usa and am denied access. Emailed and they assigned me a number and... nothing else. I guess we are too close to russia.
Perhaps the dna research is very good, but the service is terrible. While they are friendly, waiting time is VERY LONG, their tracking number is not recognized by the post office, we do not from where they ship so that we can track the packages
I gave it one star because the kit had a nice design. THAT'S ALL! I was sucked into it because they are a tiny bit cheaper than ancestry but my son used ancestry and got results, which, based on our knowledge of our family history, are spot on! One of the swabs you use to give them a sample of the cells in your mouth broke. I emailed them on their "Contact Us" site several weeks ago and have heard nothing. I've tried to call during the hours they say they're available but no one answers and there is no way to leave a message. Stay away!

Very vague, very generic ethnicity results-did not learn anything new at all.In fact the results did tell me less than I have already known. No reply to emails. I paid all that money for no information! Avoid at all costs!
They have in there site, if you don't like it you can cancel. Well I tried and they are only giving me $29.95 back out of $119.40. I had a 2 week trial plus one day. NO will not refund my money. Just be warned!

I had reservations about using My Heritage after reading all the bad reviews. Now that he explained to me how people could feel their test were wrong it made me feel alot better.
I had a namesake in another tree frequently presenting as me in theories of relationships. When I visited the site, I got a message that this namesake was me. The profile was even adorned with a photograph of myself. I wrote to MF help a note asking if they knew what to do. Shortly, I received a friendly phone call. The same day I then got a notification that the problem was solved, and it truly was. I am thankful that the case was so quickly resolved.

If I knew more I would give 5 stars. My husband used ancestry.com and they seem similar but my heritage was $20 less. So I would go for my heritage.

I decided to subscribe and am disappointed that I get "dangling carrots" of information. In other words, you tempt me with information and then I get ""üpgrade"" or subscribe to a data plan. I feel like I wasted my money and have my cancellation date on the calendar. I feel like you tempted me then deceived me. I do like your free option and whish I had stayed with that but I can't print anything unless I pay! Won't recommend you guys.
If you sign up for this service they automatically enroll you in auto renewal. They don't send an email to remind you when your subscription is about to expire so you don't have a chance to cancel. I found out they had charged my account almost a month later when I got my credit card bill. The first person I talked to would not refund my money. He talked to the supervisor and said the best they could do was offer half off. Called the next day and asked to speak to a supervisor. He would not let me. In their terms and conditions it says you can get a full refund within 30 days if you are not satisfied. I reminded him of this and he said that this was a renewal and not a new purchase and I would have had to cancel my subscription for 2017 back in 2016 when I first signed up! If they would have given me my money back, I would have eventually signed up with them again, but since they were so greedy I will never use them again. They don't listen or care. Also, it is outrageous to be charged $175 and don't get access to data. That costs extra and without the data the site is useless. What a ripoff! I cancelled my subscription to Norton Internet Security after they charged my account and they gave me my money back in full with no hassle at all. That is what an honest and reputable company does. It does not force you to keep a service you don't want and steal your money.
I contacted Brigitte with a few issues. She was able to resolve all but one on the first call. The last issue was not quite as simple. For some reason all the details in my family tree on the mobile app disappeared one day. Dates could be viewed, but not the details. Everything could be viewed on my desk top but I prefer to work on my iPad using the mobile app. Brigitte said she would refer my last issue to the VIP Tech Dept. - I have to admit that I did not have much hope. Today I received a follow up email from Brigitte apologizing for the delay. Again, I was not holding my breath anticipating my issue would just get lost in the shuffle. Miraculously, all the details appeared today on my iPad. Thank you Brigitte!

I am a senior citizen in my seventies with limited tech information. These two young ladies had an abundance of knowledge and as important, patience. I appreciate them very much - I hope MyHeritage does also.
I was having great difficulty in syncronising my FTB and Web Site due mainly to my error in creating two trees under my web site. I left a message yesterday and this morning got a call back and Brigitte was very helpful indeed and has sorted out my issue and clean my site up with regards deleting the second tree and making sure only one main tree existed on my site. Brigitte was very polite and professional in how she helped me and it was a pleasure to chat with her. There is one outstanding issue generally with MyHeritage on viewing Historical record matches from FTB but they are aware of this and the Technical Team are trying to sort it out. I have been with MyHeritage for 3 years now and I am very pleased with their programmes and helpfulness. Regards Tony

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
