Comparing my DNA with that of another persons DNA done by another company shows almost no detail.
This company charged $12 for shipping and then sends the kit by first-class mail and a return envelope you have to pay the postage on.
And all you received is a link to show some stupid fancy graphics with music (for emotional effectt?), no detail and 2 more ethnicities which tells you much of nothing.
What a poor service.
I couldn't find any way on the website to stop my Premium subscription temporarily, and revert to Basic. I used the Contact link, and in a very short time, received an email from Sebastian letting me know that he had changed my subscription status. Nice to feel there are helpful staff when you need them.

I am a PremiumPlus member of MyHeritage, and have been for some time. When I do come across problems I always take into account that building software for genealogy websites has to cover a huge number of issues, especially taking into account multiple languages and the many different ways of recording data, multiple place names & changes in political geography, to say nothing of those many users who either do not know how to enter information or are too lazy to check - I know the Help Desk will not be able to resolve those problems quickly but they always get back sooner or later, often by phone (thanks Aaron!) and we can usually work around them.

I phoned MyHeritage with 2 problems and my call was answered immediately. A DNA re-assignment quickly worked. However, my 2nd problem was a little outside the norm as, when managing spouses I had inadvertently hit a clock icon which said 'permanently make latest marriage first'. This mucked up the report on this family. Itai did the same at his end but he could undo, I couldn't so he was able to send me an update which solved the problem. Itai was patient, pleasant and understood the situation. Lots of thumbs up.
The waiting music/voice on phone was quite loud but when Dana came online I tried to explain my problem. She quickly realised what I was after, hopped onto my tree and saw the problem. Her assistance has cleared up a problem I have had for over a week. My suggestion to assist this problem is to have a "Help" button/tab at the top of the Builder.
Some time in the past I had a hard time talking with a technical support person. Not so today. Mr. Itai quickly verified my account and asked what he could do to help me. I had 4 topics. He quickly organized them into the proper order for consideration. He made excellent suggestions, and walked me through the process for using them. I couldn't ask for anything better.
Tried to print my DNA results, site would not let me. Talked to BRIGITTE at MyHeritage, she said would send email with print of my DNA results, got email but no attachment or any DNA results, just email saying do a review. Gary South
Hi Gary,
I'm sorry to read your bad review and I will do all I can to help. We currently do not have an option that will allow you to print out your results but we are have many requests for this and we are working on creating a feature of the sort. In the meantime, there is a workaround that I recommend that personally works for me. What I did was simply take a screenshot of the results on my computer and than I printed that screenshot out.
To take a screenshot of your ethnicity report:
Log into your account and view your Ethnicity estimate.
Hold down Alt and press ⎙ PrtScr.
An image of the window will be copied to the clipboard.
This will allow you to paste or view the screenshot in a photo viewer and simply print it.
Nonetheless, you mentioned that you have talked to Bridgette and she promised you to send your results to you and I would also like to ensure you receive it. In order to do so, I'm going to need to locate your account. I unfortunately am unable to locate your account under the name "gary s." that I see here on site jabber. Please send me an e-mail at [email protected] so i may assist you as soon as possible.

I called to find out how to upload my DNA from 23and me to my heritage. Tessa sent me an email with pictures and details how to accomplish this. It had to be done on a computer not an iPad.
I have used the free version of the site for a little while, and wanted to subscribe. However, i only wanted a month by month subscription, something not available on this site. I attempted several times to call their customer service line, kept on hold for ten minutes and then directed to voice mail. I also emailed them. I had a call back 2 weeks later and they hung up. I finally got through, they have confirmed no monthly subscription available. Tried to end the call but just got sales patter for a yearly sub. I would have certainly taken out a regular subscription had they offered monthly. This and the poor customer service are the main flaws of this website.
The instructions are excellent and easy to follow. I would like to see a change on item 3 and 6. To say.
3. Remove one of the cheek swabs from its plastic wrapper and use the jagged or the un evening edge, to scrape the inside of one of your cheeks for 30 - 60 seconds.

Friends of mine who used other companies for DNA testing were able to easily print out information of their results. This was not true for MyHeritage. But the very good news is that I called for tech help. It was a very long wait on the phone but Eve emailed me exactly what I hoped for. I highly suggest that what I was sent come automatically when you get your results. After each percentage she put an informative paragraph explaining it. There should be something on the site that simply says: PRINT. And you get what Eve created for me.
After using the Family Tree Builder program for over a year with no real problems, I finally couldn't get it to sync with my MyHeritage Family Tree website. I contacted the help site listed via email and received a response in a day or two - not bad for a small company located halfway around the world from me. It took several email exchanges with very clear instructions on what info they needed to determine the cause of the problem and how to fix it (update one of the programs.). I really appreciate the persistence and promptness of the help staff in addressing my problem!
I have had no problems so far. The people were excellent at helping me understand why my previous DNA couldn't be used which I'd been trying on various sites for months. It took quite a few emails to get it all sorted. I have no complaints about Customer Service with this site. I would recommend with no problem

Started my family tree and was unable to edit it. Phoned the help line and Maja was able to 'work her magic' and I was able to edit my parents profile. Thanks :)
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
