This site is stupid. They have my dad being born in the 1800 and he wasn't born until 1924. Same dad/mother listed. Wrong guy. Don't waste your money on this site, they apparently don't have any idea what they are publishing.
Because of my little knowledge of the Family Tree Builder, I phoned again today and the lady I spoke to helped correct my errors and answered my concerns. Thank you for being there for us to discuss our concerns with a live person because some of us need to talk to someone and not read a manual.
When I received my DNA results I couldn't access them on my iPad or get into my account on my husband's computer. I phoned My Heritage and received excellent support from Itai who was very patient and helped solve the problem.
I had a problem identifying photos in the photo album. The My Heritage person who helped me did it quickly and graciously. Much appreciated,
I spoke with Joshua today, he was very courteous and he helped me resolve my concerns. It was a pleasure speaking with Joshua.
I contacted Support about my 7,9 % Finnish ethnicity and asked if this persentage could include Sami which is a minority people mainly living in Northern Scandinavia, Finland and Russia. Lisa, who answered me, was very helpfull but could not confirm or deny if Sami was included. She told me that MyHeritage was working with many different ethnicities to reach more detailed results. Hopefully this also is the case with Sami and Finnish.
My problem, my DNA kit results, was referred to another person. I am waiting to hear if they have found my kit. The person on the phone was very nice but the issue is not resolved yet. I am hopeful that there will be a positive outcome.
Dear Connie,
I'm sorry to read your low review and I will do all I can to help.
If I understand you correctly, your DNA kit was assigned to another person in your tree. If you have assigned a DNA kit to the wrong individual, you have the possibility to re-assign the kit the following way:
1. Log into your family site
2. Hover your mouse over the ‘DNA’ tab and click on ‘Manage DNA kits’
3. You will see the DNA file(s) that you have uploaded and/or the ones you have purchased via MyHeritage DNA.
4. On the right of each kit listed, click on the dots to see different options, then click on ‘Re-assign’:
5. In the window that pops up, type the name of the individual whom you would like to re-assign the DNA kit to:
6. Select the correct individual among the suggestions that come up
7. Make sure you obtained permission of that person to manage his/her DNA data, then check the box
8. Click ‘Save’
In doing this you can ensure that a DNA kit has been assigned to the correct person.
Please let me know if I have misunderstood your issue by writing to me personally at [email protected] from your registered e-mail address so I may investigate who you spoke with, find your kit and ensure you get the help you need as soon as possible.
Kind Regards
Rafael

When I ordered the kit, it was sent to me very promptly. I received the results in a timely manner. I did have some questions regarding the results. When I contacted the technicians on two separate occasions, I received very good service and great explanations to my questions. The results were very easy to read but, I do think that it could be a little more detailed. Thank you.
Had three contacts with three different staffers with positive outcomes on each occasion. First on a Tree problem, quickly sorted. Secondly re engaging a researcher which is ongoing and then a DNA hiccup which was fixed with a minimum of fuss. Thanks a lot.
My husband and I wanted to order two kits and as we were simply filling out the required fields for payment and delivery (without creating any accounts or submitting any information yet, just typing words in the provided fields) we received a call from an Unknown number with a man introducing himself as an employee of MyHeritage and trying to push various deals and subscriptions to us. As we were only interested in the kit and wanted to pay not by credit card but through PayPal, the man insisted we provide him information on the telephone as apparently the website has issues processing online payments.
How stupid do these people think we are? This will go to authorities as we have recorded the call, thankfully.
Dear Nana,
I'm sorry to read of your bad review and negative experience purchasing a DNA kit through Myheritage.
I can assure you that your feedback is very important to us and I understand how frustrating it may be to be contacted out of the blue without expecting it.
As you may know, MyHeritage research tools and features are based on subscriptions. In purchasing a DNA kit, one is required to have at least a free basic membership in which I assume you already have.
In contacting members, our intention is to promote our latest promotions while advising members of the best subscription that fits one's tree research needs and budget. Therefore we do contact our members to give more literature about how one may use a membership to research family history while answering any questions that one may have.
Although many people do benefit from hearing about our latest promotions and different subscriptions, I can stop this for you by all means. I am interested in notating your account requesting not to receive any contact from us unless requested otherwise to prevent this from happening again.
Please contact me directly at [email protected] so may locate your account and notate it accordingly.
You are already my first priority here and I will be looking for your e-mail.
Sincerely
Rafael

I had a problem downloading my tree from the heritage site to the family tree builder. Danella assisted me she was polite and kind and knowledgeable regarding the issue. The problem was resolved quickly. Thank you Danella
Had a quick and excellent assistance this morning from the technical staff. Loved the wait time and it's reminder what position I was in to have my phone call answered
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).
Answer: If you are looking to get as many connections to your tree that you can, use My Heritage. If you want flexibility in who is added to your tree, use Ancestry.
Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.

Dear Here C.
I'm sorry to read your review and will do all I can to help.
If I understand you correctly, you may have located a SmartMatch™ from someone's tree that is listing the same father and mother as yours but there is inconsistent information attached to the matching profile.
MyHeritage offers a suite of many different kinds of researching tools. One of them is our SmartMatch™ feature that matches people that you have defined in your family tree with people in other family trees that members all over the world have created on MyHeritage.
While this tool has helped literally millions of our members in finding more information about their family roots, it is the researcher's responsibility to evaluate the source & information it provides and resolve conflicts in information through contacting the site manager from where the match derives from.
Therefore, I would recommend you to track down the referenced source by contacting the site manager of the match to verify if indeed the information is correct and the other site manager simply needs to update his information or if it is just a simple coincidence in names.
In order to contact someone from another family site in regards to a Smart Match™, simply visit the matches page and click on 'Review matches'. Each match in the list will show the source site as well as the name of the webmaster. Hover over the name of the site manager and click on the 'Contact' button.
Please let me know if you need help with this by all means. Simply write to my inbox from your registered e-mail address and address it to [email protected].
I would be happy to give you more details on how to use our features and help you with your research.
Warm Regards
Rafael
