Get notices via my email. Cannot open by clicking. Must go through a somewhat tortuous route to get into MyHeritage and I am a fully paid several years including my daughter membership. When I am in a hurry to open up MyHeritage, there are too many "hoops" to jump through as I am experiencing right now. I must leave for an appointment and cannot take the time to figure out how to access my account. VERY FRUSTRATING!
What I find on My Heritage is only based on the linkages that others have added. I understand that it is simply a database, however... I don't trust the info that people have added in their family trees. For instance, there are many linkages to Lt. Col. Thomas Blackburn and his son, also Thomas, that I cannot prove. I am skeptical that this lineage is correct to the next generation Hudson William Blackburn. Thomas Jr would have to had two marriages, which is also shown, but I do not believe that is true.

When attempting to open some of the the so called linked websites and require way too much effort to utilize them. Also, I see little difference in the regular Heritage website search capabilities. In Ancestry.com when there is a newspaper related clipping, it links you directly to it without any fuss, as their newspapers.com works directly with them. If you want to sell this Heritage as a great research tool, then go to work on it and make good on the promised ease of links to other research sites more intuitively accessible.

J'apprécie beaucoup la plate-forme MyHeritage qui a récemment remplacé Mes-Aïeux. J'ai pu y découvrir des ancêtres qui étaient d'origines étrangères. J'aime beaucoup l'arbre en forme de cercle qui est proposée.
Pratique si on est prenium, l'affichage des données est caché autrement... dommage qu'on ne puisse payer par mois au lieu du paiement annuel... il faut avoir des moyens financiers!

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
