I have been doing my family tree now for a few months, and have found the information from My Heritage quite good. You have to do quite alot of research yourself and just don't rely on other family tree sites for correct information. I didn't know I had so many relatives that go back many years.

My Heritage can be fun and interesting to work with but it can get very overwhelming. Every time a new person or branch gets added to the family tree, MyHeritage searches that add with other trees and prompts with new potential matches. The potential matches that must be review grows exponentially very quickly. I quickly stopped adding to my tree but still have over 1,000 matches that should be reviewed.
My membership was up for renewal and I was interested in changing my subscription but didn't know how to go about it. After sending a query through the website a representative called me the next day and talked me through everything I needed to know and got onto a good subscription for the next year. Thanks as always to the great customer service team at MyHeritage!
I had missed an email that stated my subscription was being renewed. I then discovered that I had been charged for a second year. When I finally got in touch via phone to MyHeritage ( no mean feat I must add!) (very hard to get a call answered by a person, and equally frustrating to get an answer to an email) it was explained that I had had the option to cancel my subscription? As I did not do that, I was then only given a refund of 25% of the year's subscription. Theft by another name! MyHeritage is making g a ton of money this way. Read your emails people. There's no going back if you miss the opportunity to cancel.
It has been amazing what I was able to find. Great Grandparents baptism records from the 1800's in Croatia! I couldn't believe it and I'm so thankful!

It seems there is an infinite amount of data for me to sort through. So many sources, seeking a lot of the same information I am looking for. Seems like we all are related at some level!

I'm still at the novice stage and still learning. I'm impresed with the speed and amount of information I found. The connection with those who authored names, dates, etc. is helpful. A very good and useful program.
I subscribed for a year of using my account online. Twice now I have been cut off from receiving emails from MyHeritage and from being able to login to their website! They seem to lose my information of something and I cannot access my account; my tree or hints or answer a relative's message. The first time I couldn't even reach them by phone because they didn't recognize my account number. I am currently unable to access my account for a second time and will have to call to be reinstated. To get their attention the first time I lost access, I had to send to certified letter to their offices in Utah! Fortunately that did get their attention. This is very frustrating and I've never experienced this loss of access on any other genealogical (or other) website before.
I try to respond quickly to all Smart Matches but have recently been overwhelmed by very large bundles of matches. In recent cases more than 900 Sm Matches were dumped on my site. I cannot properly review such large demands and am slowly working thru them

In advance of my renewal date, I received a contact with a new offer. I had been considering a non-renewal. After considering options, I signed on to a subscription that actually adds to my research tools with minimal added costs. I'm satisfied for now. I'll reassess next year.

My Heritage has been awesome to use navigating related family trees and finding mutual connections. It has been seamless and I appreciate how it double checks and verifies the age of family and the likelihood of their birth records and child bearing age. This has made my acquisition of heretofore unknown family, a welcome surprise and added to the ease of my research.
MyHeritage quickly helped fix an issue with my unactivated DNA test. Professional, fast, and polite support, very satisfied and highly recommend!
Such great features and accuracy have allowed me to build a treasure of names and events and pictures that allow me to imagine with detail and facts many of the life altering experiences and relatives that added value to who I am today, because of who all of my ancestors were both near and far.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
