Defective 9 piece outdoor furniture set
Order a 9 piece outdoor furniture set. Arrived and started to assemble
Two defects picked up
1x table pieces out of alignment can not be built
1x seat backing defective can not be assembled

I tend not to order online - this is the reason why I don't and probably will not use MyDeal again

Further to my review, the response received from My Deal is unacceptable. I have already reported the fault to My Deal without a satisfactory response. In fact compensation of $50 for $1,000 outdoor furniture suit which can not be used is insulting.

So further update 06/06-

My Deal basically DO NOT STAND BEHIND ANY PRODUCT SOLD FROM THEIR WEBSITE

My issue I have been told is with the supplier and My Deal will not get involved

Appears that My Deal is happy to accept my payment, take their commission and don't care what happens to their customers...well no longer a customer.

I just bought $225 worth of furniture and they have deleted my invoice, taken the money out of my account, sent no confirmation email and it's been 10 days I had to report it to the police, ACCC, my bank, Australian Cyber Security centre and scam watch! I am disgusted that this is owned by Woolworths once this goes on social media or television this website will get the justice they deserve. You WILL NOT RECEIVE an invoice just stolen money and you will be locked out of your account!

Buyer beware!

I would strongly advise against purchasing anything through mydeal. I have had an issue since January with a product I bought not doing what it's supposed to (it's an automatic kitty litter that does not scoop the kitty litter). I have had months of going back and forth with both the seller and mydeal themselves with constant requests for new information or different videos, without any resolution. I have asked for a new machine or a refund and they will not help me, they just keep asking me for more videos (which I send). It's now at a ridiculous point and I am out of over $400 and do not have a machine that works. Would not recommend at all.

The iphone I bought from MyDeal is not on in full working order (despite what their listing says). It has 83% battery health and has only about 3 hours screen time which makes it useless for a full day. Also there are numerous chips on the frame. (see photos). MyDeal just dismissed my complaints and they are not interested in helping me or letting me return it. I paid $545 for a defective phone. Do not buy anything from them.

Delivery issue

I ordered flat pack bedside drawers. The delivery guy told me he only delivers to ground floor. This was fine as it is a single storey house. Then he told me only delivers to driveway. This is the most ridiculous bull I have heard in a while. So the big burley guy could not take in the front door. For that reason alone I don't think I will order from them again. I struggled to get these heavy boxes inside.

I bought the Mayson taylorbunk bed for my lil ones room. When I received it there was parts damaged, no instruction manualof items in the box, no items were numbered. Requested new parts which I received damaged again and the quality of them was terrible. When trying to put it together there were still parts missing, holes didn't match when trying to assemble, finally when putting it together after having to do my own adjustments the staircase/ draws looked uneven and the bed itself does not look stable or solid. So disappointed especially for the money that I paid.

They sell rubbish items and only look after their sellers and not their customers. I bought an item for $49.99 which was worth $50.00 and did not work and could only get 50% refund. Please never buy from them as you will only get ripped off.

WRONG PRODUCT DELIVERED

I consciously ordered a 900 mm island mount range hood from Mydeals. To my absolute amazement they supplied a 600 mm Island Range Hood from the particular supplier - who contrary to my continued response including a photo with a tapemeasure showing that the supplied unit is only 600 mm, claims they have supplied the corect unit - is a bloody con with us the buers being totally ripped off.
Please confirm that what you are buyig is really available & maybe use Paypal so can get money back & have a major resource chase them on your behalf. Absolutely wild.

I have experienced about 3 months of sorrow with my deals customer service. After two months they agreed to a refund less a restocking fee. A month after they have had possession of the lights they have still not paid my refund.

Woolworths own My Deal and should be ashamed of this lousy service.

Avoid My Deal at all costs!

Low quality item

After reading all the positive reviews from 'verified purchasers' I thought I would buy this Nice looking black pot plant stand - just what I'd been looking for! It arrived quickly (good point) - it needed putting together.
Very disappointed with this potplant stand. The only level shelves are the top and the middle bottom. The rest are all out of level. Absolute rubbish product. Ive put the plants on it - hope they don't slide off!

Faulty Item, No refund, suggested to return item (Motorcycle Lift) which arrived steel strapped on pallet weighing about 170kg,MyDeal suggested to use PACKING CARTONS from BUNNINGS to repack and return bike lift,this has been on going for months, item was fully paid using OpenPay which has been finalized,MyDeal agreed to pay labor costs for replacement of faulty item, the refund they agreed on informed me they do not know how to process it, more than 6 months now still waiting, they advised me refund needs to be sent to OpenPay?

Purchased a Outside Aquarium fish filter recently. It leaks and unable to use, notified Mydeal as the instruction book has no warranties and no contact maker. Absolute no replies from Mydeal or maker even after I offered to pay to return it in exchange for a new filter. What a crock of rubbish, will never use this site again and will advise all my contact. Their silence is deafening. Order confirmation # *******.

Wine fridge unfortunately only holds 750 ml size bottles, to hold larger bottles eg champagne, need to remove one of the shelves thus reducing fridge capacity. Sought to cancel order which hadn't gone anywhere was going to cost@$150 for a $500 item!
Allied Express delivery tracker said next day delivery, it being 1,400 klms by road, impossible.Now waiting day 7 it's been sitting in Lismore depot last 5 days no one can advise me on delivery as it goes to Allied's agent, they won't tell me who
That is.I have to contact Allied, Allied contacts agent seeking update back to them in 24 hrs, when no reply I contact Allied again, again they send message again seeking update in another 24 hrs. If that doesn't work apparently Allied get Supervisor to contact their agent to contact me directly with ¥^€_is going on. TBC

Poor Customer support

I made enquiries about the number of shelves to be provided with a bookcase unit I was considering purchasing. After 4 emails asking the simple question, "how many shelves are provided", and receiving responses from - "look at the picture" (which I had and which is why I wanted confirmation!) to "36" (when the picture I was told to "look at" only appeared to have 33 shelves whereas a completely different unit had 36!) to "look at the assembly instructions" (which still didn't provide details of the number of shelves being provided, I have given up. Customer support was anything but! I will go elsewhere.

BEWARE: I purchased an office chair through this site. It was delivered promptly, however no screws and assembly instructions were sent. I contacted My Deal... they don't want to know nor does the company. Comple scam in my opinion.

They sent me 2 wrong items - one was such bad quality and the other was completely the wrong item. They sat in my kitchen for months while I tried to return them. I sent numerous emails that went no where. I called multiple times to try and get them to pick up the items that sat in my kitchen for months. They literally refused to pick up the items. They are a scam company. They don't hold stock it comes from other companies so just buy direct from the company that sells it to avoid what happened to me! They blocked me from posting on their socials and they just block everyone who tries to write bad review. If you want poor quality products or wrong items then by all means buy from mydeal.

I was forced to list the items on marketplace to recover my costs. I urge you not to buy from this company.

Waste of money & energy

Bought two items neither usable. Requested a refund for one, new parts for another two weeks ago. Going around in circles with "customer service" and worn down. Words are twisted in emails and photos/videos sent to drop boxes lost. They constantly seek clarification again and again but no resolution. These people should not be in business.

Bought a powerbank. Its capacity was less than 25% of what was advertised. Their online policy says money back of item is not as described (inclusive of postage). It cost me just over $20. They offered me a $4 refund and information on how this powerbank is good for the environment (SERIOUSLY). Once I refused they then offered a 50% refund. I said I would return the item and have all my money back as the powerbank was useless. No response. Escalated to my deal team, they said I had to pay for postage - got to the post office and it costs ($9.70). I'm now asking for the initial 50% refund since it's more or less the same as having to post it. They have a money back guarantee on their website; I screenshot this and sent it to them (didn't matter).
The amount of time wasted on this garbage business. Ticket number *******

BUYERS BEWARE

I bought a 3 piece outdoor setting and the screw is too small for the hole. I contacted them for a return and refund, I couldn't believe it when she replied with "screw it the other way round"! She's (Kathy) is pretty stupid to think that a bolt half the size of a screw head will stop going through a big hole. Absolute dud Chinese furniture and super dodgy Filipino customer service. So office of fair trading and a bank dispute it is. If I could give negative stars then I would.
