My children and I have been homeless for nearly 4 months now staying with family due to the current housing crisis. Main Street rentals has most of the rentals in town. They denied us housing due to low credit score and past bankruptcy even though our bankruptcy was due to covid and discharged and we haven't been late on anything since. I know they have the "right" to do this but when families make enough money, have a PERFECT rental history of more than 5 years, have never been evicted and have kids why not rent to them? There's literally no other homes available in the town we're in, y'all own them all. It's emotionally hurting my family, everyone deserves a place to call home. This is a rental after all, we're not trying to buy the home.
To all the tenants and applicants. Here are some tips you really need to follow. MSR directs all your calls to a call center in center america, where the people barely knows what to do with your problems. Customers reps are also the ones in charge to contact the vendors. If the temperature at your home is higher that 40 degrees it won't be considered an emergency, it has to be lower. There are no phone numbers to contact maintenance, lease agents or even the branch (believe me, it's true). Lockboxes actually can be opened by the customers rep. They do have the correct codes. Plus customers reps know when a house is taken or not, or if your application was approved or denied. Leaks are no emergencies so do not waste your time calling, bug infestations are not emergencies (do not waste your time calling), no hot water IT IS NOT AN EMERGENCY (do not waste your time calling), MSR does not fix fireplaces. For MSR emergencies are: temperature lower than 40degrees, no water, no electricity and big leaks. If your toilets are backing up, that is not and emergency (I know, but is true).
So, do not lease any of these houses. Love yourself and save some time. Kisses.

I drove all the way from Arizona to Atlanta to be welcomed by a rat infested home! Dog crap impeded in carpets and the hime smelling like wet dog. They told me they knew about the rat infestation and the cleaners accidently came before the pest control guy. They sent cleaners to clean and told me they would replace the carpets that needed to be replaced. The cleaners came and didn't clean anything! They put tape over the toilets and airflow freshener in the bathrooms. There is still rat feces all over the home. No cleaning or disinfecting happened! They refused to send anyone back to clean based on the cleaning company their photos and the maintenance guy saying he didn't see any feces. The lady didn't care about my pictures or anything I sent them. They won't reimburse for a cleaning company they are refusing to clean. Now and my kids and I are displaced in a hotel during Thanksgiving through the weekend till we find a new home! Do Not rent from these people you will be sorry!

While I was renting a house through this company i started having issues with the pool in April; the filter stopped working, and pool immediately turned into dark green. Called about a dozen times to address the problem and always told something different in the way they were going to handle it. Meanwhile, I kept paying the pool maintenance fee without even being able to use the pool until my leasing was up in August. A Case for a pool fee refund was opened in May and up to today, every time i contact them I am told is "still in progress".

We had the displeasure of getting into a business agreement with Main Street Renewal. From the onset, we visited (2) properties. After viewing the property and submitting an application, were we then told the property was unavailable. The next property, was similar in outcome. We finally secured a property by paying all applicable money. Since this has occurred, we haven't been able to speak with our leasing agent. It is disgusting that paying customers are treated in the manner in which you choose to treat people. Buyers beware! Stay clear of this company. Do your research... as I wish I did prior to this encounter.

Everything from the application to approval to first day move in till now 8 months later has been great. The portal is very User friendly Maintenance is always responding as soon as possible and are here by the next day with repairs fixed. Just wanted to give this company a big thumbs up they are doing a great job and their business is only getting bigger, very impressed thank you so much for everything! My family is happy and safe!

These people are money hungry house churners. They, knowingly, had me pay $100 for application fees when they already had the property rented to another applicant.
They let us think that we were the only application submitted when they had multiple applications. The evening of the day that we applied, the house was removed from their site. We were excited, believing the reason for such was us. When Monday, today, came along we learned through multiple phone calls with this "company" that they had rented to someone else. So, basically, they just wanted to take our $100 when we already have to spend probably around $8,000+ on security deposit, first & last month rent, & pet deposits. Absolutely heartless to do to people in such an already stressful situation. It shows their lack of both integrity & compassion. I will NEVER rent from these monsters!

I paid Main Street $120 for myself and two applicants. Mainstreet forced me to add occupants to my application without disclosing any occupant who has a bankruptcy will cause my application to be denied. My complaint is the applicant was only listed as an occupant, an additional person to live in the property, but Main Street pulled the occupant's credit report which had a bankruptcy which was scheduled to be paid off on September 29,2021 and then denied my entire application.

We have been living in a home rented by this Company for a month and a half. We have had three plumbing issues which took weeks to resolve and most recently a carbon monoxide leak which caused us to evacuate our home and call the fire department. Every issue is outsourced through some foreign call service (their corporate office is closed due to COVID) who will refuse to provide any additional contact information. The online survey I have tried to complete will not load. I do not know who to go to to make my home livable. Any single issue alone would be understandable. I myself, am a landlord and I can relate to the demands of a tenant. It is multiple reoccurring issues that days or weeks to resolve that have concluded in my assessment that there is a serious quality control issue. The day we turned our water on, an uncapped pipe in the kitchen began spurting water. It appears that no one even tested the utilities before I moved in. Any response from a manager would be appreciated.

The worst not knowing what the person is telling a tenant. They are unorganized and unorganized professional. They will charge you for for a issue that's their mistake and not the tenants. They don't fix everything that u report. But expect you to clean everything and even paint walls and have carpet professionally cleaned and expect the receipt on counter as I'd They will reimburse. Yeah right. I cleaned the house way better than it was before I moved in. I'm waiting on the their response to what they say I owe for. If they charge me for something they never fixed in the beginning I made sure I screen shot everything they denied. The rent they are jumping up from $1495 to $1975 for the next tenant. The house isn't worth it. 2 of the rooms the AC never went through the vents and it was hot as hell. They made it seem like nothing was wrong with it. So many issues I Could complain about. Beware of them. Bad business and landlords.

For anyone who is trying to rent a home, please do not go through Msrenewal/Orlando Leasing. We found a house on the market for rent and we're able to go look at it. The house looked comply redone, we checked everything that we could. Water was running, electricity was on, ac was working, literally seemed fine. So we all decided that it wasn't a scam and to continue with the application. On July 20th we got approved and on the 21 we signed, paid (first, last, and security), and set our move in day for the 30th. After getting most of our stuff packed and ready we get a call on the 27,3 days before we were supposed to move, by them saying that they were having issues with the AC and it was gonna have to be replaced. She continued to say that it wasn't going to be a while and that we could set the new days for Aug 15th which we agreed to. To make sure this wasn't a scam I called the city of New Smyrna Beach and asked them if they could give me any information on the 23 of August, they advised me they they had been waiting for them to play fines because they got caught doing work without a permit and for the contractors information. After several phone conversations for over the past month and emails they call to tell us that it would be another two months before the house would be ready. They then had us go look at a different home and this one immediately didn't look like it was gonna pass inspections. The counter top were cut to long that the dishwasher didn't fit and the doors looked like someone used a knife to open them. It is exactly impossible to talk to anyone higher up that can explain anything further. I'm not sure what exactly what they think is okay about posting houses on the market that have not been fully inspected and ready for someone to move in but this is BEYOND RIDICULOUS! I have a 3 almost 4 year old and the townhomes that we live in now keep asking when we are moving, which obviously we aren't. So we aren't sure what to do but I just don't want anyone else to have to go through what we are going through. Playing with the roof over someone's child's head is not okay and these people should be ashamed! Just saying.

Listen to these other reviewers it is not far-fetched. This company is a straight RIP-OFF! They stole my $50 for my application fee. Each time I applied for a "so called" home they would SAY the home is no longer available. This happened FOUR times with no prevail. They have no facility, no one to talk to in person. It's all rhetoric! All they have is one bogus customer service number with tons of robotic incompetent reps who answers the phone at home and you can even hear dogs barking, roosters crowing, kids playing, and cats meowing in the background. And if you have any questions or discrepancies that needs to be handled or resolved, their favorite line is "please send an email to our leasing agency department and they will get back with you." And of course they never do. In my eyes they are fraudulent, scammers, and charlatans who is getting away with murder. I am surprised they are still able to run a business. My suggestion is to keep reporting this fraudulent company. Don't stop here also report them to the better business bureau until they are properly shut down. You've been WARNED. Don't be so desperate and find yourself losing money and valuable time on homes that never existed to begin with. Find you a company who actually have a branch, a building, and real people to talk to in person. Take your integrity elsewhere with a company who is legit. Or else you'll be the next victim sending a sour review. I wanted to give them a 0 ratings, because a 1 is being too generous.

This rental company has a few homes under their management in High Point, NC and this company should not be in business. You can never get a hold of anyone and they do not properly care of the properties they are supposed to take care of. I am a homeowner in the development in High Point of which this home is in. We have dealt with lawncare issues, garage door issues, and other things of which I can not legally saw.

We tried to work with this company to find a rental for over 2 months. Every agent says something different and there is zero clear communication between their staff/agents. As soon as they say they have what they need to rent you a property and something comes available you might hear from them a week later saying oh we need something else from you. So glad we won't be needing to deal with this company and I recommend to anyone with a rental to lease or looking for a place to look elsewhere. We've had great success without using the company of Main Street Renewal of Louisville.

MORE THAN ONE FAMILY SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO APPLY FOR A HOME IF SOMEONE ELESE HAVE. WHEN A HOME SAY JUST LIST I GIVE THEM A CALL FOR THEM TO SAY OH SOMEONE ELESE HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR THE HOME. Beware this company does not like fixing problems electrical or other wise. After fixing a friend's electric was somewhat fixed they decided to raise the rent. The electric still isn't fixed. Its being a year so far and they haven't even tried to help pay for the electric bill that was higher because they didn't want to fix the issue. This is why this rental company is a joke! I would not even consider renting from this place. Lousy communication and the shear fact they want the tenant to basically pay for the issues to be fix like the fireplace it has only worked once and they got a email stating the company does qork on fireplaces will if its something that a tenement will get in trouble for per quotation in the rules and regulations contract. So they was the tenants to basically get themselves evicted. Just down wrong all the way. All I can please do not rent from these people!

Answer: Don't bother... waste of money for an overpriced house. Their customer service is terrible. They give you the run around and the techs they send out are not certified. Look like people the just find off the street and hire for a repair to do. My husband and I are currently looking for an attorney to get out of this lease. We've only been renting from them for 4 months and have had SOOO many problems with this house. Look else where.
