We received a letter that our lease was up on March 28th which we already knew. We moved out and I made a courtesy call to inform Mainstreet that we had moved out. The lady on the phone had an attitude when I mentioned getting back my deposit. Fast forward to today I received a letter with all these bogus fees. Not only did they take my deposit, but they're also saying I still owe $1900! MS charged me for the month of April even though we were already gone, crazy claims like $200 for blinds, $500 for painting, and other ridiculous charges. I paid over $800 for junk removal and cleaned the house before leaving. I luckily took video of the house before leaving my key and I will gladly go to court if I have to. Mainstreet will not get another penny out of me! Sidenote- I thought when a tenant moves out and another moves in that carpet cleaning, painting, etc is automatic. How is it the responsibility of a prior tenant? Tenants aren't professional maintenance men. Tenants are to clean the house and fix any major damages before leaving. We're not gonna have the house professionally made over for the next tenant. That Mainstreet is your job and I'm not paying for that. It's all good with MS until you move out is my advice to anyone looking to lease.

My elderly Father is a backyard neighbor to a residential home tenant of Main Street Renewal. Winds blew down the fence between the properties about a year ago and the tenant and I have been going round and round with MSR for months! We get nothing but excuses at every turn. The tenant has dogs and we're worried about safety. Left no choice, my father is now burdened with the cost of replacing the fence entirely on his own. MSR was able to delay and delay until we had to do something. What a repulsive business model.

I recently applied to Main Street Renewal. I Met All Qualifications; We'll At Least I Thought. My Credit Is Well Pass 620 And I Make More Than Enough To Even Apply But I Did Cause It Was Affordable. Got An Email Informing That I Got Denied So I Called Around For Answers And No One Was Able To Tell Me Why. I Was Told To Wait For The Adverse Letter That'll Be Sent To My Email And It Will Let Me Know The Reason Why I Was Denied. Fast Forward A Day3 After Being Denied my Letter Is Received And States " … identified
Decision and is unable to supply specific reasons why adverse action was taken." Still Til This Day Idk Why I Was Denied. Til I Came And Saw Reviews Which Was My Mistake Cause They All Are HORRIBLE ‼‼‼‼‼ And I Believe Them Cause The Same Happened To Me. Same Way. Same Time Length.

Took our application fee. Credit score is 850 they told us it would be 3/5 days. Waited 10 days wanted us to verify Ss# we submitted proper documents to verify they then came up with with a lie that application had Ss# entered incorrectly. We kept a copy of app, so they lied in disbelief of credit score. We were told approval would be in 24 hours, well, 24 hours they denied the app and kept apo fee. They claimed to send a promo code to re-apply without paying again because property was no longer on market. Another agent says no such thing. Was hung up on, lied to, didn't answer emails, no manager on duty ever. You will be talking to a company that majority of people are in the Caribbean's everyone have a very drastic accent, so they lie to you to get you off the phone. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Whoever the owner are go through the Apps on 3/24/22 you will see our app and was treated with total disrespect for Mainstreet! The employees are handling people via calls with no Respect! Ridiculous! Almost 20 days for getting a inquiry on credit report for NOTHING! Damn LOSERS!

I have a section 8 voucher. I applied for a house, added my teenager daughter as a co-applicant, paid $100 application fee. Within 2 hours my application was denied. MSR said it takes 3 to 5 business days to process the application. I took my application 2 hours to get rejected. Now I must wait on the consumer report to come back to find out why I was denied. I told MSR that my credit was not so good to begin with. They flat out lied and said they don't do credit checks on people with vouchers, only background checks. I know my background check is good. After I get this consumer report back and it states that I was denied because of my credit. They will give me my $100 back. MSR may take other people's money, but I'm going to fight hard to get mine back. They lie and steal from people too much. I do have the recorded call where MSR claiming that they don't do credit checks on voucher holders. Not to mention every customer service rep tells you something different. Nobody knows what they are talking about, no one is on the same page. Who trains these people? I advise people to believe the reviews, they are facts. People work too hard to give MSR free money. They got rich by scheming people. They ought to be ashamed of their predatory practices. I wish they had negative stars. I give them a -1000.

Horrible.

Horrible company. Was charged $400 after someone hit my mailbox. Maintenance came out and put the same damaged mailbox back in the ground. They did not replace it, they used the same mailbox and told me I'm lucky I was only charged $400. Keep in mind a brand new mailbox cost $48 at Home Depot. Here's a pic of the box after the repair ( check out the stick at the bottom to keep it from moving).

This company is horrible. They added fees to my dads lease without his knowledge and try to evict so they can charge a higher rent. Trying to capitalize on a disabled person who has not missed one rent payment. Do not rent from them. And Mary who works in collections thought it was funny and refused to help him. Disgusting people

This place is a scam

I can see why this place has awful reviews (they do not even qualify for one star at this point) and my application is still processing. Which is one of the issues. It's been processing for two weeks. You get the run around when you call. I literally just got hung up on because I asked if we get our application fee back when they decide just to ignore your application an not bother even giving you an approval or not and told her I can see why they have awful reviews. They do not have the ability to connect you with the leasing agents. Just tell you they will send a message to one to call me which they have done this twice already. Left a review on Google and they really have the nerve to reply telling you to email them which I've done to no avail. Never had such a poor experience when applying for a home. If I did not like the home so much I personally would not have gone with this company after seeing the awful reviews. This is the most unprofessional not to mention impersonal experience with a company leasing homes I ever experienced. Too bad you cannot get your app fees back. Now I have to spend more money applying elsewhere. They can at least notify you if you are denied and let you know why. They should not even be in buisness

We wanted to rent a house. The process for approval took three weeks. We were told we didn't have pay stubs to show the income to cover three times to rent. We offered to pay 12-months rent in advance but were told this didn't count as income. We added our adult son to the application and were told the approval process would start from scratch and we could hear back in 3-5 business days. No idea when we can find a place to live.

Since march 10th this ocmpany has my deposit and prorated rent for the month of March, contract started march 15th. Today is the 25th of march and still havent received the keys or password to get into the property. I have called their office 4 times just today and all i get is a bunch of appologies for their lack of resolving my problem and nothing else, i have emailed Lysa the person handling my contract and no response back. Their supervisor is MIA i've been on the phone for more than 20 min on the 4th call and no manager that can get my call. All the Spanish speaking reps that answer the phone just laugh on the call and tell you to wait. This company is unprofessional and incompetent. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

WORST RENTAL COMPANY DO NOT EVER RENT. Sewage and mold issues from the day we moved in. "Property manager" Michael king has not responded to any messages and this house is leaking sewage out of every single drain/toilet. "Maintenance" doesn't know what they're doing and whenever you make appts, the workers never show up in the window of time the appt was made. The customer service center is run by people who have no idea who their manager is or the contact. Multiple requests for a supervisor or manager to reach out have been ignored. We have no other numbers to contact to help with the sewage issues. Snake and rooter have come out on three occasions to "fix" things and still we have food waste and sewage coming out after 5 maintenance requests and appointments with technicians coming out. We moved in, in late JANUARY. IT IS MARCH. We have never been contacted by their "team of customer representatives" about any of our requests for a new property manager or any of our complaints of workers coming by when there was no appointment made or not fixing the original problem. I'm fed UP with this company and how they allowed us to move into this UNSAFE home. TERRIBLE, AWFUL, COMPLETELY THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER RENTED FROM. And we pay close to two thousand dollars for THIS? We will be continuing with reaching out to a lawyer to see if there's anything that can be done to get out of this lease. DO NOT EVER RENT FROM THEM. This was your warning.

I have had a billing/utility issue going on for almost 2 months now. I have received multiple emails stating we are going to get sent to collections and our renters insurance will be cancelled due to these charges. We've called 6x and sent 6 months of utility bills stating we pay through our third party provider and don't owe the money. We have continued to pay rent but will not pay the charges we do not owe.
Over the last 2 months, we've spoke to 7 different people and received 4 automated emails stating the utility department will review. There has been absolutely NOTHING on the MSR side to help us get this resolved. This is pretty clearly plain negligence and simply not caring on the part of Main Street Renewal. Beyond frustrated as we have taken every possible step we can to get this fixed and no will do anything to help us. Renter's be warned. Highly recommend looking at this companies online reviews. It's evident that they do a lot of money grabs with no intention of rectifying wrongs. We've contacted the resident customer service team and *******@msrenewal.com and heard nothing back outside of automated messages.

Not a bad experience

After reading all the negative reviews I thought "what am I getting myself into". But my experience hasn't been that bad. You may have to stay on top of a maintenance request but they will get to it. They don't bother like some landlords so you do have your privacy. So far I've had 2 maintenance request and they were attended to. Let's see how everything goes!

RUN AND RUN FAST

I'm taking them to court they had given me the run around for 3 months and had my deposit for the house. They thought they were going to keep giving me the run around I ask for my deposit back the 4th month and they claim I didn't give them a deposit $2500 dollars I have proof from my bank they got it and I have emails stating they got it. Now I'm sueing them for triple of what I paid. PEOPLE STAY AWAY THEY ARE CONS AND Thieves and will lie. I thank God I didn't move into one of their homes.

Worst company ever!

And every tenants from this company that has a horrible experience with them need to contact their local mayor, the news station and put them on blast. DO NOT RENT HERE

I moved out 1-20-22 and i still have not received any move out checks. I have talked to at least 5 different agents and I was repeatedly told the wrong number. Once I tried to speak to a manager i was put back in the que not ONCE TWICE BUT THREE different times. I literally sat on the phone for over an hour waiting to speak to a supervisor Juan who was not any help.
I have been an on-time applicant and this whole bs about waiting over 2 months to receive a move out refund check.
They have nice homes but there is literally no storage in these houses for every single their homes to be over a $1000. The management in Louisville is a pissed poor excuse for a management team they don't even have an office in Kentucky. I literally went down there to them renting a one room office in a building and even called left Mike Murphy the supervisor a voicemail and still has not received a phone call back,

Raw deal rental!

We placed an application for rental at ******* Sheridan Dr in Hudson Florida based on the pics and what we saw from and outside visit of the property. (That was a mistake) we got approved and I decided to visit the place for a tour. The place had huge roaches in a bedroom, a dirty stove and a huge hole in the garage ceiling. There were visible water damage around the garage door mechanism. Also, a smell of animal activity in the whole area. I called this people from Main Street and they say holes in the ceiling are something cosmetic and they don't repair anything cosmetic and they wouldn't refund my money either. This is a huge eye opener with this company and the way they deal and definitely is not a good place to get into business with and place the safety of your family and belongings into their homes. This house is not moving ready!

What a joke! Poorest customer service I've ever seen. My daughter has been in her unit for 10 of her 12 month lease and YESTERDAY was the first day that all of her appliances worked. You can NEVER talk to who you need to; always the same "we're sorry for this issue. We'll have to forward it on to the proper department…" Newsflash, they have no proper departments apparently! Do not rent with them. Keep looking.
