Ok so i was buying tickets to see SKULL ISLAND and i went on this site. So after i ordered 5 tickets i go to pay for them and when i put my card info in i guess my auto fill filled in the wrong zip code for my card so the transaction was declined but yet and still they put a hold on my funds so i gave them a call it took 25 minutes to get through to them then they told me to call my bank they were very rude and lied to me about putting a hold on my funds. That was last sat. Its friday and my funds still haven't been returned.

Received two of these gift cards for Christmas and decided to get a baby sitter for the kids and go to the movies. We bough the tickets an hour before show time and showed up about 30 minutes prior to the start of the movie. The theatre we chose had assigned seating, and little did we know that the site had chosen our seats for us. Of course the site managed to choose the worst seats possible which were front row, all the way in the corner. We were unable to change our seat selection at the theatre because by the time we sat down all of the other seats were taken. Fandango is 100x better and actually offers seat choices in the app.

TL; DR Just buy Fandango gift cards, or gift cards to the actual theatre. Movietickets.com blows.

PLEASE stay away from this company. Just had experience trying to explain my card number not readable after scratching off. Customer Service issued a tough luck, cannot help. $25 down the drain. Even if I did finally guess the number, I would be forced to pay their fees and ticketing policies much HIGHER than just buying a ticket at my theater. Their price $10.20 + $1.35. My walk up price $7.50 Same show. Same time. Very deceptive gift card. STAY AWAY! RUN AWAY! Notify any store that carries this card of the scam.

Movietickets is nothing more than an experience in deceptive advertising, false advertising and customer abuse.

I received a movietickets.com gift card for Christmas 2016. While trying to register the gift card from their ineptly designed website, I was prompted to enter rub the strip covering the card number and enter it into the website. The card was so shoddily manufactured that rubbing the white strip also obliterated parts of the registration number and it couldn't be registered. When I called their customer service number, I was treated to a 35 minute wait on the telephone. When I finally spoke to a real live person, an incredibly arrogant and smarmy millenial, He said there was nothing he could do and that he had never heard of that happening. A Google search confirmed that this is a known issue and movietickets.com refuses to do anything to rectify the situation. I strongly recommend that anyone thinking of patronizing this business just throw $ 25.00 off a bridge. It would be a quicker way to waste money and they wouldn't have to spend 35 minutes to talk to an emptybrained millenial dolt over the telephone.

We received a gift card. I tried to use it on my computer and their website wouldn't work. I tried a different browser. I tried a different network. I tried different security settings. Nothing. The service simply does not work and you are throwing your money away. Avoid this scam!

STAY AWAY, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! Absolutely the WORST customer service. Website take payment information then freezes. Cannot log on again because it says "order in progress." You will not get confirmation number, text or email. Customer service is ZERO. The published phone number is only a bunch of recorded sales pitches after which you get a message that claims the number for "your area" has changed. Call that number and all you get are more sales pitches. Fortunately my cc company cancels orders no questions asked. But I wonder how many folks living paycheck use a debit card and have to wait for a refund, if they ever get one. Total BS site. Stay away!

I too had a terrible experience on Mon., Dec. 26th and Tue., the 27th. I figured it was probably due to the holidays. We tried for hours to try to purchase tickets for Tue. (which is the busiest day of the year for movies). I gave up and decided to wait a day. Had no problem. Ordered my tickets, picked my seats and printed my tickets at home. Walked into the theater and handed my printed tickets and did not have to fight the Tuesday crowds. I think the key thing to remember about all the complaints made on Dec 26 is most likely the high volume of ticket purchases and/or possibly people employed by the company were on vacation and the system was overloaded.

Do not by gift cards from movietickets.com. They will not work it is a huge scam. Have filed complaint with BBB. The reviews are correct you can not even order movie tickets online or the app. When you call customer svc the line is busy or you just get a recording. Don't buy don't buy waste of money and most likely a scam. If you have had the same issue please file complaint with the Better Buisness Bureau. Waiting to here back its been 2 days.

You pay a service feee and cannot print or download your ticket purchase to a mobile device. So, you still need to stand in a line at a kiosk or box-office, pull out you credit card and provide the confirmation number to finally get your ticket purchase. MovieTickets offers no service or value. It is just a ripoff.

I purchased these gift cards from Sam's and tried to use them today with no success. At first I tried to use the app and it kept logging me out and when I finally got to a screen where I could purchase the tickets I would get a blank white screen or some type of error message. So then I tried to purchase them online thinking there was something wrong with the app, but again no success. The site was extremely slow. It would sometimes just sit there and eventually time out. I then tried to call customer service and received a busy signal ever time I called. So, I never could get through to customer service. After spending an hour trying to purchase tickets we finally gave up. Do not purchase these gift cards
