Tried to return an item that was not working for me... the "return an item or order" link didn't work, tried another part of the website... said my order number wasn't valid even though it was and then called their telephone number and all I got was busy signals. This is not good customer service in my mind.
Update: Since this review, through Best Buy, I was able to contact Monoprice and they took the purchase off my credit card and did not request a return of the item... I guess because it was a very small purchase.

I bought a galaxy S6 from your store through eBay. I was very hopeful since the store had a very high rating. I received the item later than it was expected. But I did not make it big deal. I received the item yesterday, September 28th, 2015. But I could not turn the phone on. I charged it about 45 minutes. But still nothing came on. The phone became so hot as if it was burning. I was so disappointed. I think the store sold me a defective item. Now I emailed them and waiting for them to respond me. Then I will return the the item. It will take at least several weeks. Then I will get y money back and so on... This is just headache..."
A sudden change in the customer treatment at Monoprice! An order was placed 31 Aug and as of 5 Sept it was not shipped yet. The company is not returning email messages and is not providing any information about the order status.
In the past the merchant was selling quality items and the shipment was the nest day or the same day.

I always order my cables from monoprice. They quality has been excellent and the prices are incredible.

"Monoprice has the worst customer service I ever experienced. I ordered an item that was on there website and at the time when I ordered it the price seemed to good to be true. I ordered it and right away contacted monoprice to verify that I would be getting what I ordered. I spoke with a rep and the rep assured me that I would be receiving what I ordered. I then received four emails confirming my purchase. The next day I received an email saying that my order was being refunded as per my request which was complete BS because I never asked for a refunded and it also stated that I had refused the item upon delivery which was also complete BS because the item never made it to my residents. Wait it get better then I received an email stating that if I wanted a refund that I would have to return the items that were never delivered to my home. Monoprice did absolutely nothing to make sure that I got the service that any retail company that wants to survive in the retail world would provide they made a mistake and knew that they made a mistake and there exact words were don't worry sir we are refunding your purchase and kept saying this at every turn they thought that they were doing me a favor by refunding my money WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE! "
I have used Monoprice for a few years. On my last order they sent the wrong cables and would only refund the price of the cables not the shipping and handling, either way.
AS I am writing this review I am still on ignore waiting for a sales representative to answer the phone and assist me. As of right now it has been 1 hour, 12 minutes and 48 seconds. They say they understand that my time is important. How stupid do they think I am. Not only do they have zero respect for their customers but they treat you like you are an idiot. I realize that money is tight and we are all trying to make the best of every dollar we spend but this is beyond ridiculous and tolerance. This company deserves serious reprimand and the only way they will get it is for their customers to walk away from them. For those who don't know it they have a phone number that they try as hard as possible to hide. It is *******592. Flood their lines, tie them up; let them know we deserve some respect and that lying to us is not tolerable. They want to claim that they "understand that your time is important"; then show it. How many millions is the owner stuffing in his pocket by disrespecting his customers? I say, hit him in the pocketbook; obviously someone this greedy only understands the financial bottom line. I waited a while to close this review figuring I could report the time they decided zi was worth giving a few minutes to but it just isn't happening. Over 1 hour, 30 minutes. I decided to press 1 and give them a piece of my mind.
Great company to do business with as even after they messed up in shipping my order out on time after Cyber Monday, once I made them aware they sent it out the next day and upgraded the shipping!
I have always thought highly of monoprice.com and have spent many thousands a year from their site; and have recommended them too many others. I NOW REGRET MAKING THOSE RECOMMENDATIONS. UNFORTUNATELY, their quality must be going downhill dramatically. I ordered over $1,000 of items today, was told that they were ready for pickup by one of their employees. My son drove over 1 hour, and the order was not ready. The employees there would not help. I called and spoke to a supervisor in the customer service dep't and she said she couldn't get it ready any faster and that it would be ready by 3 pm. I told her my son could not wait 5 hours for it; so she said they would have it delivered (at their cost) the next day - tomorrow. My son left. I just got a telephone call from them saying that it was ready (4:00) and that they would not be shipping it after all; even though a supervisor promised. The woman on the phone said she was aware that the supervisor promised to have it delivered; but, they decided NOT to do it after all. I cancelled my order. THIS IS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY, WHO DOES NOT BACKUP THEIR EMPLOYEES, OR KEEP THEIR WORD!
WATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY! They are highly disreputable and it may be best to go elsewhere. I ordered an optical wire for $13.92 and needed it next day. Monoprice charged me $31.29 SHIPPING for next day delivery. That brought the total to $45.21 for the item. Then the company waited a full day to ship because the order was placed at 2:08PM and somewhere in the small print there is a cutoff time of 2:00PM. An 8 minute difference.
It was a Thursday so Monoprice's delay of a day means I will get the cable on Monday. That's four days later and they kept the shipping cost.
Customer service just told me to read the fine print more carefully.
This kind of slight of hand should be avoided on the internet. A firm like Amazon would never have such poor service.
Federal Express would have had it to me the next morning but they use UPS... no doubt for a better rate and to make more on shipping than on the product. Order #*******

Paid for 2 day shipping, when it didn't arrive I requested a date change as i was not going to be at the address. They refused to refund the 2 day shipping charge ($15), and passed on the extra $12 dollars to change the date. Cancelled the order heading over to Bose...
This site has two things a shopper likes. Reliable service and unbeatable prices. For HDMI's to TV stands monoprice has shown me constantly that they know their $#*!. Highly recommended for it's accessories, speakers and electronic equipment.

monorpice.com never disappoints, they always have the lowest prices on quality electronics and cables with amazingly fast shipping and great customer service. I buy from them for all my electronic needs.
You won't find a better deal on cables. Yes, you will find cheaper prices here and there, but not by much. But with monoprice you know you will be getting a quality cable. The attention to detail is even noticeable in packaging. Connectors are carefully wrapped. Cables are wrapped in a circled and not end to end in most cases.
I've also got cord wraps from them and they were nice.
I also was happy with my TV mount. Not Thrilled, but happy for sure. The packaging on that was a bit weaker than some of their other products, but you actually couldn't beat the price for such a long arm. It is very stable, and is holding a pretty heavy older 42" panasonic plasma. Not one of these uber-thin newer displays.

Answer: Hahaha! In my case, they just dumped my package at a neighbor's. Unfortunately, that property is vacant so I did not receive my shipment until almost two weeks later after the neighbor came to check on the property and found it.
