I bought an open box item from Monoprice earlier this month knowing that not everything would be complete in the box (the example given was things like instructions and software installers, both of which can be acquired online if you don't have the physical copies). My understanding was that "the main item" was always included. I interpreted this to mean that the technology necessary to get the product to work would be included. The product I purchased had two main parts to it, neither of which function without the other. I was very disappointed to find one essential part missing. When I contacted Monoprice they explained their policy (which I believe is nonsensical) and I resigned myself to purchasing the missing parts. However, they could not sell me the missing parts.

I am left to wonder why I would purchase an open box item, not knowing what parts I would be getting, knowing there is a good chance that the product would be so incomplete as to be useless even to the point that you can't buy supplementary parts from Monoprice.

This raised an additional concern. If I had paid full price for the product and I had broken part of it, it appears that Monoprice would not be able to sell me a replacement part.

Monoprice sent me an RMA and I have returned the product and am awaiting a refund. I had considered paying full price for an entirely new unit from Monoprice, but have reconsidered on the basis that I could still get stuck with no way to replace a part that breaks.

I like your products but

I chatttd with customer service 3 hours after my order was placed about adding too or canceling. He said he wouldn't be able to add too but, he could cancel for me so I can reorder. It was NEVER done so customer service sucks

Many of the newest and most innovative 3d printers are coming from China. When purchasing one of these printers directly from the manufacturer or from an online big box style seller in the USA support is painful and difficult.

When you purchase a 3d printer from Monoprice you have the advantage of real people on the phone able to assist you with your new purchase. This is a difference maker for many people new to 3d printing.

The second product of two I ordered did not arrive with the first. I waited 6 weeks before contacting Monoprice, hoping that the missing product would arrive. When it did not, I called the Monoprice help line. The agent I spoke with agreed to resend the missing product. It was a very pleasant experience, the opposite of what I had been expecting.

I ordered a speaker volume control and needed technical advice. The person answering my call took all the info on my problem and told me he would verify with a technician and call me back. One hour later I got the call and the answers I needed. Another time I had to change something in a order I had made a few hours before and the person answering my call was very nice and made all the changes I wanted without any hesitation. Great service!

Great Company

I several transactions with Monoprice since November all were above favorable. A couple of items had to be returned for different reasons. The returns were simple and prompt. The service personnel were courteous and quickly responded with knowledge and courtesy. And always included an email containing our conversation. The last one was an item a never received. They promptly sent a new one. What a pleasure to deal with.

For my first 3D Printer, it is doing a good job for me of creating many pieces and parts for my Arduino micro controller projects. It was easy to setup and configure to start printing.
The heated bed surface of this printer is a good quality, no damage so far, after a lot of printing pieces.
Plenty of other projects, pieces that are coming, and with fun.
I am satisfied with this product.
I had an intermittent problem, loose power connection that was fixed easily with few e-mail exchange with customer support people. Fast response of my support inquiry and great people that dealed with me for that.

I work with students who have disabilities. I have been able to use my very reasonably priced Monoprice 3D printer to make adaptive tools for them for pennies of what it costs me to purchase them. I love the design challenge! Best of all is downloading a pre-made design that I can print myself.

I have been ordering from Monoprice for many years now mainly for small computer or audio/video products and accessories for various projects I undertake around the house. Their products are consistently of good quality and really good prices as compared to most other online or retail stores. Their standard shipping is reasonable price and typically takes 3-6 days via USPS for small parcels but they do also use UPS and FEDX depending on the quantity or size of the order. I find their website is easy to use and their products are identified by a unique Product Id called PID which makes it easy to search on items. Highly recommended to keep this business in mind for all your cable and accessory needs but they have expanded in recent years to include a fully array of tech products and even offering name brand items.

I made an incorrect order (500ft instead of the 1000ft I wanted). Placed the second order for the 1000ft. Chatted with CS to cancel the order. CS agent said we cannot cancel and to just return them when I receive the item. I agreed and asked if returns were free to which they responded yes. Here we are once the items arrived, process the RMA to which no shipping label is provided. I chat with CS again to which they tell me this time shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. I tell the agent that is not what I was told minutes after placing the order. Now I am on the hook for shipping when the order could have been cancelled. Worst and wrongly informed customer service ever.

My favorite company

I buy any and all audio equipment from this site because it's as good as, if not better than, the top name brands for that product, and it's sold at a fraction of the price. I've bought XLR and instrument cables, phone cables and chargers, home theater speakers, PA speakers, headphones, earbuds, a sit-stand converter desk, and a desk lamp. I'm always surprised with every new product I buy because it's of a higher quality than I expected. I've convinced three (3) friends to order from Monoprice, and each one has already gone on to buy more items from the site because they were so impressed.

I guess what I'm saying is that this website is dope and you'll be very satisfied with whatever product you order from them.
