I purchased a new Microsoft Surface Pro 6 a few months ago. I was very pleased with this product except the exterior shell color wore off. I contacted Microsoft and they suggested a replacement refurbished computer. I was very surprised they would suggest such a thing. My computer was only a few months old. The exterior shell color is definatelly of poor quality. I would not recommend this product. Ness
Do not buy anything from them! I purchase a $3,300.00 surface book online and immediately tried to cancel. Was told I couldnt and could apply for refund. Applied for refund and was told I had to wait till item shipped. Called back after item arrived told they had technical issues and couldnt print a return label. Waited 2 weeks for return label. After printed mailed pc back in origional box unopned. Package recieved in EL PASO TX July 16th, still no refund. Was told by them that refund was 3 to 5 days. On day 7 now with no refund. Told they are investigating and will get call back. No calls back. Hung up on numerous times. Basically I was robbed for $3,300.00. Lost my money and looks like I now need to go to court.
I will never shop online at Microsoft. I had a HORRIBLE experience. I try to purchase a Xbox one x for my son online and I was not able to because I had a visa gift card and the rest would be on my credit which it is a very easy process at apple and Amazon. So I call to buy over the phone. The agent advise me to buy Microsoft credit. I told him I will put the money there to purchase the console only, I don't need anything else from Microsoft. By the time he finished the process there were no console. I have been calling them email them and no refund. They are holding my money hostage and I ended up by the console from Amazon. Never again. I have repeatedly tried to cancel my account. Repeatedly failed. Tried to contact, repeatedly failed. The app lags and requires hours of updates each time I've tried to use it. I have gotten 0 for my money. And STILL I'm being charged because I cannot contact a PERSON for help.
For days now I've tried to solve a very simple issue and cannot get any support from microsoft. This is a huge company and yet they do not have reliable support for their customers. Why not? The customer pays and is left to figure out what a microsoft employee should be available!
I use Microsoft teams and it is the best, but u have to like hack into the system to make two different teams accounts, it was a nightmare.
Don't wait your money on this p. O. s. Controller. I bought mine on Amazon, then started to get stick drift on L thumbstick. Get online to find my warrant expired before I bought the controller... GREAT! So I do some work to alleviate stick drift. It works... now RB double taps. 3 days later A double taps. So I deal with it... not happy but I deal with it. Then it falls out of my lap onto a carpeted floor and the R trigger breaks and is now stuck in. Are you serious?!?! I've thrown xbox controllers across the room at full force only to pick them up and play again. This p. O. s. Can't fall from 2 ft?!? Wtf? I expect more for my money and I'm honestly done with xbox/Microsoft and will trash talk them as much as I can. Hey Microsoft... go $#*! yourself!
I just got off of work at 12am come to play the game and I got a random message saying I need to recover my account I filled out paperwork wrong two times and then right two times now my account is locked I can't log in to change the phone number Even though I changed the number in January.
Canceling everything on Microsoft is such a hassle. It says you can cancel anytime no problems when in fact you really can't. I've been trying to cancel my 365 subscription for months and they still keep trying to charge my card. And I can't take my card off file because of the subscription I've been trying to cancel is linked to it. And when you call to cancel it they give you the option of charging your card and then refunding you or you can wait 30-90 days for it to supposedly cancel itself out. Such a horrible experience.
My password is not working I have to jump through hoops and pay to get it nack, why can I not just talk to someone, this is bad business!

I created a profile on my XBox and broughtt a game. The next day I tried to go play the game. It's asking me to sign in then saying my password was incorrect. The instructions told me to reset my password. I did that. It still said I was blocked. I put in a problem ticket no one called me back. I don't know how to get the $30.00 game I paid for or a refund at least. I'm very frustrated. I hate Microsoft.
Microsoft is living proof that to be highly successful in the USA you need to be a thief. Billy boy gates who started this monstrosity stole most of the code from others. He had little skills himself in programming but was more of a sociopath than anything else.
Having had YEARS and YEARS to do it, MS still cannot produce a reliable, secure and bug free operating system. Now the company itself has become a hacker, injecting code into your windows without your permission or notice. Their software is so bad my advice is to avoid it at all costs. Ditto their so called "support". Learn linux, unix or go with apple, much better choice except that MS has a stranglehold over 3rd party software so hard to get any programs for free unless u use windows. Hopefully trump will break up some of these sluggish, incompetent and dishonest giants, but don't hold ur breath
I have to image my windows OS because it is so flaky and given to serious errors the only way to repair it is to reimage the entire OS.
Constant needs to reboot to eliminate bugs. Inexplicable error messages and advice that leaves you more in the dark than when u started.
I'd be ashamed to admit it to anyone unless it was a hooker looking just for money. They suck. Bunch of rich peons who care nothing about quality and service. MS hacks your system and injects code against your permission and often without your knowledge. It's a corrupt incompetent company that should be broken up. After years of trying they still have a crappy and unstable OS they do not have the expertise to produce anything else. Avoid MS products and advice it is a circular road to nowhere. If you have computer expertise choose linux, unix or apple products.
Years back they were rock solid providing easy troubleshooting that took maybe 20 or 30 minutes. Now----you get all outsourced agents and so-called Techs that up to an hour of 'diagnosing' before giving you a ridiculous ticket number, and make promises to call you back, then don't. YOU are left chasing THEM down and horrible wait times, IF their idiot autosystem doesn't disconnect you or tell you to try again later, "heavy call volume " bs.

You didn't mention if it's a BA, or BFA, but either degree requires the ability to spell and use grammar correctly. This isn't a school room, but for a college grad to post their thoughts on a public forum that is at a high school level is (if you are a college grad), a sad commentary on our educational system. As for Microsoft being garbage, I do agree. It started out great and Gates encouraged employees to think outside the box, try EVERYTHING and give the product's organization feedback, which made the company number 1 with office software. But, starting with Steve telling employees it's a "terminable" offense to have a Rim phone, makes no sense. But that's the philosophy now, under no circumstances Challenge our products. Don't give us feedback on our app's, just tell us they are better than anyone else's! I remember when MSN pushed Microsoft employees to go to their internal site that has MSN on one side of the UI and Google.com on the other side. The purpose was to CHALLENGE MSN. Try both together then forward your thoughts. The intent was 1. Let Microsoft know where MSN lacks so that 2. They could make it GREAT. Unfortunately, many versions later MSN didn't figure out how to make an awesome search engine and Google is still the King, but that's how Microsoft became great, Challenging their products. Now they're really losing credibility and the public is pivoting to Apple and Open Source.
