I am very grateful to the following employees at the Dallas Microcenter.
Colleen, Milo and Steve.
They were helpful in explaining many things about beginning the build, and the installed hardware and software with the new build.
The new computer was built in record time.
Thank You very much Colleen, Milo and Steve.
AFTER reading numerous poor reviews and having a personal crappy experience from an indifferent cashier and an equally dispassionate manager, I can easily concur that when there are issues with products, caching out "supposed discounts" or anything to do with making things RIGHT with customers! The staff and especially the management give off a "I really DON'T give a damn about your problem" attitude, no matter how grievious the wrong done to the customer. Had I not needed the purchases for my daughter to begin homeschooling my gr4anddaughters the next day, I would have left the entire shopping cart of items right there on the cashier counter and walked out, NEVER looking back! I tell EVERYONE I can, about my sucky experience with this entity, and even after numerous calls to see if ANYONE CARES, I have yet to even get a response, by email, phone, text, voicemail, from ANYONE in the corporation...

Microcenter backdoor hacks their devices and gives police direct access to your feed whipping clean off of your devices be it a cell phone or security camera. Most of the owners and stake holders of the business itself are germans identifying as juz.
I dont recommend any of ther products. In fact and feel no one should purchase from businesses with shadey business practices.
Microcenters products are trash. They might as well just be honest the business is a coverup for law enforement with terrorist ties foreign and domestic. The business isn't just a store its a agency that shares your information a cross the world... A zionist business.
They are spies
On 3/23 my wife went to do a return, basically returning a gaming labtop that I purchased from microcenter. I have indeed purchased 4 labtops within the last 30 days, and have exchanged them either due to thermals, performance not what it was advertised or reviewed or defective unit. Last purchase was a msi Titan 18hx, when spending 5k on gaming labtop, which is a very expensive investment you have to be 100 percent about the product your buying. My biggest concern today isn't the fact they were upset because I swapped the device, my two major concerns are one the way the General manager approached her asking her what happened? And his tone and his approach, he stated that he wouldn't be able to do any more returns due his loss of money from a financial side, which we did anyways because it was within the return period, as a general manager he should have greeted her first asked what is the reason her husband keeps returning labtops, as a leader running his building where all his associates are watching him and how he offers customer service in a time where every dollar spent could be detrimental to his business survival he actually doesn't care. I hope this review reaches as many people as possible to understand that customer service and how you are treated is very important because people now have options, and where to shop. Their listed specs don't match what their vendors send them and that is a problem. For example the MSI titan was advertised and listed that it will run the 64 Gig ram configuration at 5600MHZ which it doesn't not. Out the box it runs at 4000MHZ and once you manually set the timings to anything above 5200 it becomes unstable and crashes. That isn't the consumer fault that's their fault. Also their open box items are stated that they are open box, meaning that a customer purchased them and returned them which now is an open box which isn't the case for their open box policy. Their open box could mean they opened the unit for repair, or faulty screen which in that case should be listed as refurbished or reconditioned. I'm already in touch with with their corporate office and will be also filing a BBB complaint against this location for how they treated my wife. This is by far the most poor service I have ever acknowledged in my entire retail career.
USE ONLY CASH OR YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF,,, every time all the time... i will be pressing changes on whoever i can and everyone i can,,, im apparently not the only one. People have been reporting it since dec of 2023,, apparently they are doing nothing
Micros Center-DALLAS- Complaint!
Went in looking for good values on a PC and peripherals, for my daughter, who is home-schooling. The upselling started almost immediately, followed by a claim of a "discount of up to 10% if you apply for their store credit card." The process is on your phone, which already makes it difficult to read, for old eyes such as mine. After repeating sensitive personal info at least 4 times, the automated service (processed by Wells Fargo, one of the WORST credit processors), the system hung up on me the first time. After calling back and going through the process AGAIN, the auto system supposedly sent me an authorization PIN ( I NEVER got it!)
All this was happening WHILE we were at a checkout station, blocking up other paying customers. After almost 30 minutes of waiting, tons of frustration, and more NON-SUCCESS, I just decided to pay cash for the almost $3000.00 purchase! Their check verification was the same FUBAR ststem! Their in-store and online methods to check credit absolutely SUCK!
A "manager " came over, observed the situation, then just walked away. WOW! Now that's customer service! Even at an almost $300.00 potential discount, on the purchase it was not worth the time hassle, or embarrassment we had to endure... Were it not for my daughter, I WOULD have walked out, leaving all of my potential purchases sitting on the checkout counter. I'm sure I can find it elsewhere and WILL, in the future!
As it stands, they told me since TRANSUNION locked, froze, blocked, or put SOME DAMN Restriction on my credit (without my knowledge or authorization). They couldn't check my 825 credit score! They didn't even try to use Equifax or Experian, OR for that matter, even call my bank, where I have more than one 6-figure checking and savings account! With prices not all that great, and an ABSOLUTE HASSLE FACTOR to check out. NO THANKS.! I'M NOT goin' BACK! Their motto, is "Overpromise and UNDERDELIVER!" I REALLY WISH I'd left it ALL on the counter and told them where they could shove IT!
Made an appointment to have someone run diagnostics on my iPhone 15 pro max. When I arrived the tech stated that I would need to leave the phone until the next day. What?! What a joke. What sense does that make? Human beings go into surgery and come out faster than that. May as well go directly to an Apple Store.

I was shopping and not once did someone ask me if I needed help. Employees were standing around and chuckling, talking amongst themselves. I am disappointed in the customer service.
When I purchased my Lenovo computer at MicroCenter in Marietta, GA, I had a heart-to-heart with the salesman. I told him I didn't want an extended warranty because my Gateway Laptop stayed at Gateway for over a year and I had to buy a new one anyway. He told me that because the repairs are done locally at Microcenter, they had resolved the problem of long repair times. I bought a 3-year warranty. That was around January, this is October. The desktop failed and I got a replacement. The desktop failed again, and I contacted Lenovo to see if they could fix it, and they referred me to BestBuy saying BestBuy would have the failed motherboard and could repair it within 24 hours. BestBuy, on the other hand, told me they needed 3 days for diagnostics, and then they would ship it to Lenovo, which would take another 3-4 weeks, plus shipping. So, I reluctantly took it back to Microcenter. They told me 10 days to do the diagnostics and then they would most likely ship it back to Lenovo for repair, and that it would be over a month.
I can't be without a computer for a week, much less a month. I've clearly made a bad purchase with this Lenovo T5 26IOB6 computer and a 3-year Microcenter warranty. A warranty that takes a month to repair a desktop that just needs the thermal grease replaced is unacceptable. The repair is done. I paid for it out of my pocket. It's the second repair I've paid for out of pocket. It took about 3 hours at a reputable repair shop. But if it fails again you can certainly count on another review.
Couldn't have been simpler. Had receipt. Brought printer. Had extended warranty... it took close to an hour. They sent me to at least 5 people and 3 different places in the store, the knowledge center (no knowledge, service desk and registers... and back and forth.
My husband and I went to Microcenter to buy a tv. Gino was the only associate working in that department. He was running around helping everyone in that department. Kept coming to apologize for being with one customer who was asking ridiculous questions. When he finished with the customer he helped us out. We only went for a tv ended up getting insurance and a surround sound.
I brought my laptop to Micro Center to get a blown cooling fan fixed/replaced. The reason I chose Micro Center was because I figured they would have the part on site and I wouldn't have to wait the 7-10 days for them to order it. I was wrong. They told me the part would arrive in 3-4 days and the repair would be completed in 7-8 days. It wasn't. I'd be okay with that, but there was zero communication. There is no phone number to call and the "service update" text number on the receipt is apparently not monitored. When I finally got a phone call (despite specifying all communications by text) I went to get my computer. The young man at the counter was also the technician who worked on my computer. He laughed and said that he had forgotten to connect the display wires and had to go back and redo that. He slid my laptop across the counter and I asked him where the power block and cords were? He looked mystified. He disappeared into the back and came out several minutes later with them, again assuring me that the computer works 100% perfect! Maybe I should have asked him then and there to show me. Ah well... hindsight. Got home, plugged it in and... nothing. Stayed up all night, into the morning trying to get it to work. Got it to flicker a little bit of life, enough to do a factory reset. *sigh* Nope, even that didn't help. I cannot emphasize enough, never, ever, EVER go to Micro Center for your tech repair needs. I don't know how they stay in business.
I bought an open box laptop from this company. I was careful to confirm that the 90 day warranty would be upheld, as there were scratches around the power port from the person who originally purchased the item. The power port failed six weeks after purchase, and the company promised to fix or replace it. I went in, waited in line for over an hour, then was told that they would not be honoring the warranty. I left a review describing this issue, and was contacted and promised a full refund. Then it turned into a gift card. Then it turned into a decision NOT to honor their promise to refund, or even provide a gift card- they went back to just not honoring the warranty at all. Avoid at all costs. This company wasted WEEKS of my time, and failed to honor any of their guarantees. They are not trying to keep customers, they are churning. Buy elsewhere. There's a reason why they have less than 2 stars on all the review sites! Avoid at all costs.
I had a cracked computer screen, they took 2 months to tell me it will be $480.00 to fix, I said ok, then they stated a month later that it will be an extra $260.00 then tried to convince me to buy another computer instead and offered me something with less data than I originally had. They was trying to convince me it wouldn't be worth fixing. So I told them to put the data on a hard drive so I wouldn't lose the information on my computer. I was planning on taking it somewhere else to get fixed. They told me they didn't have my computer back there anymore, when I went to go pick it up.
Never heard of this place, but my son asked for a computer and suggested this business. After placing an order, company wanted a photo copy of my drivers license and a photo copy of my credit card. Seems way too easy for this business to steal too much information from the customer especially information linked to my bank account. Needless to say, will not be ordering from them in the future and will go to a more reputable and known establishment. Be advised and careful if you do place an order.
It saddens me to have to share this frustrating experience with a store that since 2019 was my preferred option for purchasing computer equipment and services for my small business. Multiple purchases and a true promoter of their services I was until recently, when I had the bitter experience of taking one of the same equipment purchased from them to the technical department so that they unlocked the PC since we had forgotten the access pin. To my surprise, after 2 days, due to an "error" by one of their technicians, they deleted all the data from the PC, which, being for commercial use, contained hundreds of documents and an image bank with more than 5,000 photographs, most of them They bought and others paid through photographer services. All of them used to update social network profiles of more than 12 companies for which our office manages their online presence. Despite the fact that the store sent an attempt to recover the data to an external place, we found ourselves obliged for the duration to try to get the pc back, to pay again to recover the data and the hundreds of images owned by the companies to which we take their networks, so as not to lose the contracts we have with them.
To make a long story short, the computer was returned a month and a half later, and not with all the data recovered, and our small business lost over $15,000 due to this error by one of their technicians. We formally request that the store take responsibility for this damage to our office, but to our surprise they have decided not to do so, demonstrating with this that there is NO guarantee at all in their repair shops. This is definitely serious. But since we live in a rights society, this company was currently sued for damages in the Gwinnett courthouse. Very soon I will update on this case. In the meantime, I invite you to take all the necessary precautions before trusting a company like Micro Center, which if for some reason something similar should happen one day, does not offer any type of guarantee in its equipment repair services.
However, a recent visit to their service department left me feeling extremely disappointed with their customer service.
The service department at Micro Center is supposed to be the go-to place for customers experiencing problems with their electronics. Unfortunately, my experience there was nothing short of a nightmare. Upon arriving at the service desk, I was greeted by an unfriendly technician who seemed uninterested in helping me. After explaining my issue, the technician simply took my device and told me to come back in a week.
When I returned a week later to pick up my device, I was shocked to find that nothing had been done to fix it. The technician simply handed me my device and said that there was nothing they could do. When I asked for an explanation, the technician became defensive and rude, telling me that I was wasting their time.
Feeling frustrated and ignored, I asked to speak with a manager. The manager arrived shortly after and listened to my concerns. However, instead of apologizing for the poor customer service I received, the manager seemed to dismiss my complaints and insisted that the service department was doing everything they could.
After leaving Micro Center, I decided to share my experience on social media. To my surprise, many others had similar experiences with the service department at Micro Center. It became clear that this was not an isolated incident but rather a systemic problem with the service department's customer service.
In conclusion, my experience with the service department at Micro Center was extremely disappointing. The technicians were unfriendly and unhelpful, and the management seemed to dismiss my concerns. I would caution anyone against using their service department and recommend seeking out alternative options for electronics repairs.
We bought laptops and protection plans costing $149.99,15% of the cost of each laptop in November. One is having issues which seemed to be more hardware than software. Made an appt and spent a 3 hr r/t to the store last Saturday. That store (Tustin) doesn't take appointments. We had an 11:40am and confirmation email? So, we waited. The tech spent 5 minutes running a stress test and said it was fine.We explained the errors he was getting. The pc just powering off after 1-5 minutes, etc. He then said we should uninstall the last Windows update and reinstall, explaining this to a 14 yr old. I asked if he could do that in case his dx was incorrect. Only does upgrades, not down grades. Again? Went home and of course, in the midst of the first uninstall, the pc goes black with a fatal error. Cannot sign in to pc at all. I have been emailing and asking for escalation. Was told a manager from the store would call. Nope. It's been a week. Called the home office and spoke to someone today who was clueless. Now, he is diagnosing and assuming it's windows, saying I'll have to have a 2nd pc, a usb drive, and a whole bunch of other stuff.? He couldn't even comprehend the steps that had been taken and he is going to dx a pc that won't sign on? Asked to speak to a Supervisor. Nope. "Leads" were all busy. Asked to wait to speak to a lead. Nope. He actually stated that Leads don't take such a call. Basically stating my problem wasn't worth their time. I will never buy anything from them again! This is the worst customer service I've experienced on any tech purchased! These laptops are 3 months old with an additional protection plan and they can't help!
This is a review in response to a previously posted review. I received a call from the 'General Manager' in response to my scathing posted review of terrible customer service a the Duluth GA. Store. He apologized for the ill treatment that I received during a recent purchase/return for service. He assured me that the treatment I received was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!, and offered to make me whole. I so appreciate his concern and offer. God Bless you Mr. Johnson
Slowest shipping I've ever experienced, ordered from them and Heusinkveld the same day within hours of each other. Package from Heusinkveld made it from the Netherlands to being delivered in Michigan in 3 days! Meanwhile my package I ordered from them still sets at their distribution center that is only 3.5 hours away from me. Talked to their chat person yesterday and said it takes 1-3 days to ship, so seems to me like they take full advantage of their timeframe which also tells me customer service isn't a priority to this company, this will be my first and last order I ever place through microcenter!
Did I also mention I paid extra to get faster shipping & that my item showed it was in stock?
