I cant wear a mask due to breathing and other issues. I order a computer they would not ship. I came down waited in line for my turn when I went in they told me I had to leave cuz no mask. I informed them I have a medical condition and if they would bring the computer out that would be fine. They said no to both and thus I had no xmas gift for my mom. I own smart Janitorial and previously would only shop here. Spending multi thousands of dollars with a company doesn't earn you loyalty and that's fine but I thought you're company would be be fair in treating motherly abled. I'll be telling everyone I know on both our podcast and in person and sending a email to our over 100 employees to not shop your store as we will not reimburse products from a discriminatory company
If you are tech savvy and don't need assistance in a Micro Center store, then this review isn't for you. However, if you are like me and need assistance with purchases, figuring things out, etc., then you have to be able to trust the sales associates' knowledge and experience. Micro Center is NOT the place for you. I recently selected a printer with the help of a Micro Center sales associate (white shirt) and told him that I wasn't sure if the wireless feature would work with my computer. He recommended a USB cable just in case. Made sense. In the cable aisle, we were further assisted in cable selection by 2 blue-shirt sales associates. All three agreed on the cable selection for me. I get home and find that I am unable to setup my printer because the wireless feature isn't compatible and neither is the USB cable that was selected for me. The cable wasn't the right kind or right shape. This meant a delay in setting up my printer and a return trip to Micro Center (not close by). I spoke with a manager and was met with disinterest and condescension. I explained in detail what happened and all he had to say was, "it was an honest mistake". Seriously? Three clueless employees giving wrong information to a customer - an honest mistake? How about "poorly trained employees that he isn't managing very well". I am neither 'Karen' nor 'Darren'. I never raised my voice or acted irate. I deserved better customer service that what I got from that manager. In hindsight, going to Micro Center was my own honest mistake. I could have gotten the same type of service at a better price at Target (it's closer to my house).
Lesson learned. Never again.
I ordered an item and paid for it last Saturday. They send me a confirmation telling me to pick up the item. I start driving to the store and they send me an email telling me that they oversold and my order was canceled. I ask for a call back from the manager or the person that sent the email. Nothing?
I use the corporate text line to ask for a call back and they waste about an hour of my time pretending they can't get an answer from the store but they guarantee the manager would call me. Nothing?
Then they send me another email saying come down and pick it up or we will sell it. I text back and the explain how they made another mistake and the manager would call me. Nothing. Now its Thursday 5 days later and I'm done with this company. Stay away! They have wasted my time and it's not right
Computer sales manager isn; t wearing a mask. There is no indication in healthcare that makes this OK
Nick moratz took care of my boyfriend and I. He was completely awesome in exposing and helping with everything! Would 10/10 recommend this place and will be back.
It doesn't matter where I leave this review. Either it be the.com side of the company or the retail side the experience should be the same. When locating this review site it said that Micro Center was rated a 3. Something and that MOST customers were happy with their purchase. My purchase was today at the Bethel Road Columbus, Ohio location. We purchased a computer workstation for our home office with the help of Matt who was very helpful and answered all of our questions with sound information and advice. This is where it becomes a terrible $1600+ purchasing decision. We get home to set it up and find that the computer shows an error "no hard drive". We tried to contact the store by phone and couldn't speak to a human being? Had to drive back across town to return and replace. Asked to speak to a manager and was introduced to Tom Welsh the general manager of the store. We explained our disappointment with our experience and he REFUSED to provide any remedy for us other than to swap the machine. Not even an apology but an excuse blaming Dell computers for our mishap. This experience was so bad that I had to write this review. You would have thought a heartfelt apology or something could have made this better. This man saw the dollars and not the customer. They should learn to do better.
Dont bother bringing in for repairs. You will never see your computer again. Zero contact after dropping off. No idea what is wrong is system worth fixing. Lost over weeks pay. Told me I would get an estimate within 2 days. That was 10 days ago.
You can't use their Insider Credit Card to purchase any thing Online? Why wouldn't you be able to use their own credit card to make online purchases?
We purchased a top of the line Dell for $2000 plus the 3 yr extended warranty and left it at MicroCenter for the data conversion from my son's old Asus. We were told it would take 48 hours maximum AND, unlike other retailers such as Apple, MicroCenter does charge $89. For the conversion. As may son was leaving for college in three days, we were anxious to pick up the computer. After 72 hours and repeated attempts to contact the store, we finally went there and picked up the new and old computers without the conversion. They told us that the conversion was difficult, yet, the new computer had never been removed from the box so they lied. Do not get service contracts or any service agreements from this retailer as they are entirely unreliable.
4 days after my order i got a tracking number 4 days after that the tracking still was not a good one. After 3 calls and 2 hrs on the phone still no results. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CLOWNS.
I schedule an appointment to have my laptop looked at. Not only did they not honor appointments even though they offered them they ignored me when I asked them about it. The store was over capacity due to Covid/CDC guidelines. They were not enforcing the face mask policy or social distancing. I have not felt so uncomfortable in a store during this pandemic until I was in there store today. Would not recommend them and will never return. They will be reported for not following current guidelines.
I went to the westmont store with my chromebook it does not have a internet cable slot i had to buy Ethernet adapter for it and still no internet.so i brought it in for tech help. I was told it was wifi only by 3 people i dont trust wifi.so it was suggested to buy a new laptop with the internet slot. But i did not and left. I went somewhere else and bought a different one and it worked.its sad.
In the midst of COVID-19, most companies have pivoted and moved to a more virtual environment. Shockingly, a company that sells technology, in this case computers, has not shifted. So, you are forced to bring your computer into the physical Micro Center store. The wait time in-store for a computer diagnostic is 5-6 days. Even with a warranty, no tech support is offered online unless you want to pay an additional $49. This defeats the purpose of having a warranty. I will not be purchasing a computer from Micro Center (or any other equipment) again. I really wanted to support a local store, but will need to do business with Best Buy, or the like, in the future. #customerexperience
First purchase Dell Inspiron last year and it malfunctioned out of the box. Fast forward a year and laptop wasn't recognizing the charger cord. Took it to their tech center to have it repaired. They had my laptop for two months. Now the sound isn't working. Micro Center is a nightmare and will sell you lemons. The sad part is I trusted the sales associate who highly recommended this worthless model.
This Micro Center is a nightmare. I ordered my details to the PC a couple of weeks ago. They still haven't sent me my package yet. Now I don't know what's wrong... But I won't be ordering at the Micro Center anymore: c
Let's start with there pathetic web site. One of the worst I ever encounted! Feel free and try it out, try searching for something specific and watch this site show everything but what you're looking for, your a PC store WTH...? On to their non existing customer service. Try calling the store and you'll be put on hold IF YOU'RE LUCKY and if so you'll only wait 30 mins and be HUNG UP ON. Let's talk about their shipping. Lmao the biggest joke of it all! So I found a G162 PC online but it was only available at their Ohio store and I live in Michigan. So I tried requesting not only that PC but 2 others models to be shipped to our store in Mich. But wait they won't ship PCs to other stores let alone to a customers! WTF I want to buy a PC 1 of 3 and you guys won't even send it to a different store so I can buy it!? Nope so I drove 3.5hrs to Ohio to get one. Pathetic right but after 3 weeks the motherboard goes bad. So i tried for 4 days to get a person to talk to me from either store and got no where. Finally I used an email address off a card I grabbed on the way out and got lucky that one of the managers from Ohio returned my email and got the ball rolling. After waisting a week diagnosing and being ignored they finally said they would take care of it. Pathetic! All I can say is this store COULD be Amazing Cuz there's tons of people like me who want to build, tweek and play with PCs. The ONLY REASON they still have customers is because there's no competition to close these clowns down, YET. Who's ever running this company should be FIRED FIRED FIRED! If you decide to monkey with these clowns BRING YOUR PATIENCE you'll need them.
I bought a $50.00 set of earbuds at the recommendation of a sales associate. I was unable to try them on in the store so I went home to try them on. They fell out of my ears in all possible configurations. I tried to return them the next day. The return line was out the door so I came back three days later. After waiting several minutes, I was sent to a cashier by the security guard to ring the refund and was told, for the first time, by the cashier that no refunds were being done due to Covid-19. This was not explained by the original cashier nor the salesperson at the time of the transaction. The refunding cashier said that I could try later. I texted the store manager a week later to ask when they would begin taking returns on ear buds. I received the reply, "We are not currently accepting returns for them due to COVOD-19." and a link to their Return policy. He also replied, "We are only able to exchange earphones within 30 days of purchase if they are defective, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." It's been 10 days and now I'm screwed out of fifty bucks, three round trips of gas and I am left with defective earphones that fall out of my ears.
The company is taking advantage of customers due to the COVID-19. In the last 15 years I have bought six computers and three printers and annually replaced Anti-virus software from Micro Center, St. Louis Park, MN. Never another dime.
While I was shopping at the Mayfield heights location my daughter was made to feel extremely uncomfortable and she begged me to leave which we did with haste. Anyway this guy with a limp looked her up and down and then winked at her of course without me seeing cause I would have knocked him out, but anyway my poor 16 year old daughter was so upset she cried the entire ride home which by the way is over an hour. I Will never shop online or in-store at micro center ever again. Sincerely one very upset parent
Called to talk to someone about purchasing a specific PC and was put on hold for 22mins before I said screw it and did what the recorded message told me to do 1000 times while I waited the 22mins, go online and chat with an online person. Logged onto their little chat queue and my lucky #22 came up and told me I had 22 people in front of me! So I waited 25mins and then said screw it again and decided to write a review on my awesome experience with Micro Center. I'm not sure why these stores think it's faster and more efficient to make their customers wait online in a queue or on the telephone for that matter just to speak to a person about inquiries about products I would like to buy from their damn stores!? Most people are sitting on their assess doing nothing but spending money while we're all quarantined... Funny part is they'll actually wonder why they went bankrupt!? Guess it's time to look for a barebones kit. Saaad
Issue with MicroCenter online retailer. Don't use their online order system. Ordered a item from the online web store. Cancelled the order within a few hours of the order placement. Removed the item from my order history and sent an contact notification using the MicroCenter browser tool on the Customer Service page. I drove several hours and picked up the item at a MicroCenter store. A few days later I saw the pending charge to my credit card. It was for the online order. Sent another contact notification telling the online web store to cancel the pending charge and cancel the order. I was told it was cancelled. Three days later MicroCenter shipped the item from the online order. I sent another contact notification asking what the hell are they doing sending the item. I've asked multiple times for the order to be cancelled. I get an apology from Sean Molnar and a FEDEX return label. I return the item the same day it is delivered. Dropped it off at Walgreens. Never opened the shipment box. FEDEX shows it delivered the next day. Five days later I'm still waiting for my refund of $276. Don't use this company. Completely incompetent employees!
