They say they protect their sellers but they offer no help! I sold an item and used 2 bubble packages and also wrapped the item in bubble wrap, the buyer claimed it came broken! No pictires no nothing, she wanted a refund, she requested a shipping label from them, they approved it she sent the item back. However they issued her refund without me even getting the item back! Wtf! What if she used it? What if it's not even the same item I shipped to her? They just issued it without even making sure it's ok! Do NOT sell on this bull$#*! app!

I had been listing some things on here and had no issues, then I bought my son a pair of "beats" ear buds as a gift that were new in the box only to find out they were fake. So, I started looking at other listing on there and found that there were lots of the same ones I bought listed as authentic, now I listed some skin cream with makeup that I had and got suspended because it was skin cream that could give a reaction... as could anything including eye shadow or foundation. Not worth my time and hassle if people are okay to be selling knockoffs as authentic. I would not recommend them to anyone!

Selling made faster.
I've sold many things here. This is a place were you can sell faster. I love mercari. I have bought things here too, they make it so safe for buyers to buy and the return policy is great for buyers.
It's easy and stress free. And most people prefer buying here because they go low as 4$ for shipping.
Sure there are scammer customers just like any other websites. It's easy to report on mercari their staff is attentive and helpful.

Still can't believe it-received a dried up once soaking wet Himalayan salt lamp that I paid 3 times what anyone would have. Even with the pictures showing that it was not like new and rusty all on the inside of the electrical, the told me they would give me a return, then went back and said they sided with the seller & fine deal! Ended up puttinba stop payment through my credit card. Today Mercari closed my account. They just lost a great buyer & seller. They are only going to continue to attract bottom feeders and low life's while skimming a decent 10% off the top of any sold items. TERRIBLE JAPANESE COMPANY! Don't bother buying or selling on here-you can't get thru to anyone AT ALL-their help is not at all helpful, and in the end? They will continue to do the wrong thing. Actually, THANK YOU for closing my account-''twas a very Necessary Ending I could not stop on my own apparently!

They don't want to listen to you. I bought alot off them. I always paid with credit cards. 3 actually. I have 9 orderes that they are not going to give me my money for cause I don't have a checking account. They suspended me for canceling a order cause the buyer has a right to cancel if the seller doesn't ship with in 5days. I have that in wrighting. What can I do to get my money back.in have credit cards receipt that's all an emails from them that I paid but never received.

Well I believe Mercari is a great apps but the other sellers in the application report your listing as fake or counterfeit items so they can sell more. I have great rating all my items comes from flea markets and warehouse sale in NYC. Merchandise is authentic but when a seller sees someone selling three or four items each day I guess don't like that and you wind out getting hit with counterfeit reports. I get a report of digital infringement on my own photos. Customer Service needs to improve in a way that they must noticed about these facts. Very disappointed

I sold some items and tried to make a purchase on Mercari using my earnings, my mercari balance. I can't because apparently California residents can't use their Mercari balance for some reason. It makes no sense to me. I hope I'm not being ripped off.

I definitely would not recommend this app since they have more fake items listed and they don't know how to tell if it is or not. But if it sells, they take their cut and don't care. Buyers are stuck with it and if they try to resell to recoup their losses, people flag that they are selling counterfeit. Other sellers will report you if you sell and have a good record just to get you kicked off if your competition. If you purchase an item and a seller ships late so when you get it, you are on vacation, Mercari will release funds to seller without you verifying the item is what is stated and delivered to your home.

A nice idea, but the company culture is is not customer friendly whether you are a buyer or seller or both.

Try Vinted or Poshmark. Only reason why I tried Mercari was cause someone referred me there. Biggest mistake.

Terrible customer service. Don't shop on this site-there's no protection for buyers. Some sellers lie about their stuff and then Mercari makes you pay and you are stuck with it.

Don't waste your money and time. They delete you for no reasons after spending 1000's and being a lOral buyer and seller the explanation was my payment was suspicious my names are on all my cards with my address attached to all payments and dah I'm was very upset but now I'll save money :) besides I still have my favorites

Absolutely terrible. They will suspend you if you somehow ask for personal information. Which I never recalled doing. My account is "under review, pending deletion". And they're threatening to hold all of the money I have made from MY property $263 to be exact. What IS this?!?!

They charged me a $2 processing fee for a $5 sale so I make a $3 profit. So not even worth it. That's a ridiculous thing to do. Even Poshmark doesn't do that

This company does not stand by their return policy. A buyer was able to return the bag because she changed her mind. They claimed the seller accepted the return via chat - which leads to alarming problems: 1) Why are they reading our chats? 2) Why don't they have a protocol to formally ask the seller if he/she accepts the return or not instead of making an assumption? Ultimately, they refused to accept their lapse in not sticking by their policy, leading to unnecessary returns that does not abide by their stated policy - yet they refused to acknowledge it. Sellers beware, as they will take your earnings but will allow buyers to return items simply because they change their minds!
