BERHDZ blocked my order!
I spent 7 days and hours on the phone trying to purchase a pair of Nikes from seller BERHDZ. I tried to use PayPal but Marcari had an issue when the seller tried to compete the sale multiple times. I tried to use Apple Pay but you can only use it to "BUY NOW."
He reduced the price but then I learned that he had blocked by account and refused to deal with me and Mercari refused to sanction the seller. It took them 2 days to inform me that he had blocked me..

No help to delete your acct when it has been hacked and password changed, etc. No help at all!
This review has nothing to do with a purchase. It has everything to do with customer service. My acct was hacked and password changed, mailing address changed, etc. I reached out immediately to Mercari via phone and email. Someone called me 2 days later and said they would have their team follow up. nothing. I received a series of boilerplate emails which were not helpful. They were addressed to someone else totally. I have reached out time and time again and got nowhere. So I just hope
So I just hope that someone is not using my name, selling stuff or that I will somehow be held liable. I would never buy or sell through Mercari ever again.
I absolutely LOVE mercari as a buyer, however, as a seller, I must warn every decent, honest seller to stay away from this place! I don't even know where to begin, but the following are my main observations:
1. NO way to reach Customer Service. While there is a HELP menu, you cannot contact them with any other question than what you can select from their lists, which are not including special issues. While there is an e-mail address provided, that is strictly for billing-related questions or similar. You will not receive any response if you try to send them a message after having been exhausted by the INABILITY to do so, via other links on their HELP page.
2. NO way for a seller to ask for removal of unjust feedback, or at least to be able to leave a response for unjust feedback, like eBay allows you to do.
3. If they wish, they can put your account into LaLa Land, without you even knowing that this happened. I use two browsers to log in, alternately, and they literally flood my e-mail acct with "New Log-In to your acct" messages, as their poor programming is unable to recognize that you are the same person, same acct. (They cannot read your IP address). But more about their CS below.
4. Try to send them a message - you can get this error pop-up: "Error sending message, please try again later." After having spent over an hour trying to do just this, I had to give up! This should never happen, with my sales history and excellent ratings, and again, there is no explanation as to why this is happening, or what you can do to change this. (My message was below the allotted 500 spaces of text). Keeps you totally frustrated and feel helpless!
5. Should you be able to finally get hold of CS, they use automatic, copy / paste responses that are often irrelevant to your problem, and only after massive amounts of back-and-forth emails can you actually communicate with someone with a good command of the English language. If you are lucky, they would actually read the material you provide and do not send you a request to "take a screen-shot" as they seem to be unable to access a transaction history, even after you provided the item number in question.
6. There is no way for you to download your listings, should you decide to take your business elsewhere. They offer the upload of listings in bulk - but oh, not so fast! This offer is only extended to a select few sellers with some unknown criteria, so much about transparency! While they do provide some information on how you could become a super-seller, they tell you via email that you will know it when the time is right.?
7. They interfere with your sales at EVERY step of the way. (a) You list an item, say, at 45.00 Already during the listing process, they tell you this is going to be too high for a fast sale, and try to cajole you into lowering the listing price. This happens regardless of the actual value only you know, not mercari, for this item. Example: rare antique item. Problem is, all my items are already reduced significantly, and I am not going to sell them at flea-market price, just so mercari can look good. They compare your item during the listing with prices other "similar" items sold for, but they have of course never seen YOUR item, so what might be similar in their book, is not at all similar in reality. I am talking here about high quality and unique items that are mostly nowhere else found online.
(b) Next, once you get to the bottom of the listing, there is this option to switch off the auto-price-adjustment tool, which, if you overlook this important step, will reduce your price without your permission, to rock bottom, well-below your own price originally selected. You may one day receive a notification of a sale, log in to see it sold for 12 bucks when you wanted 42. You can cancel the sale, of course, but it will affect and reduce your overall seller-rating, which is concocted of known and unknown algorithms.
(c) Another way that they interfere with your sales price is, when you either send an Offer to watchers, or decide to promote your items. Up to 10 items can be promoted daily, for free - which is good, in principle - until you click on the item to promote it! You cannot enter a lower price you want to - you have to accept mercari's suggested promo price. Say an item has sat there for 5 months, and it was listed for 80 bucks. Now you want to promote it, meaning, sell it for less - and mercari does not let you pick the price you are ready to reduce it to - unless you agree to the promo price they picked for you, for example, 45 bucks (if anyone ever offered any amount and you have rejected or countered the offer, the item looses of its value, per the thinking of mercari's owners). The only way to circumvent this trap is, by editing your listing manually and there you can change the price to any amount you like.
(d) Yet another way for mercari to interfere with your price is, when the buyer is trying to send you an offer and either cannot, or is being told to put in a minimum amount the offer has to reach. As a seller, I do not protest against this, because I do not want to get low-ball offers.
(e) Lastly, one other way mercari interferes with the price a seller has set for his item is, when you send an Offer to a watcher. This time, you can - theoretically - enter your lowest price you would accept for this item - but no so fast! Once again, mercari pushes its nose into the action by restricting your ability to determine the price, and instead, telling you that it has to be reduce to X amount, or you cannot send the Offer to the watchers.
8. mercari does provide a sales history downloadable, which is good. You can select the time-frame. However, they do not allow you to communicate with the same buyer who bought from you, a few days after the sale, as the chat window closes and you will not be able to communicate with that buyer. Example: Buyer purchased item Z and a month after this transaction is completed - you get another item that is a matching piece to Z (say a pair of earrings, when the Buyer bought a necklace before that). Now you can no longer contact the same buyer, which is a poor poor business principle, because it prevents a potential sale - causing losses to the seller AND mercari itself!
9. mercari does not offer you to use Priority Mail shipping except for a few, very few, instances which are arbitrarily decided as the Seller has to select from 3-4 types of shipping offered with printable labels. When asking about why they do not give you access to Priority Mail USPS shipping, and what exactly do you need to do to achieve this "privilege" they give you confabulated and foggy responses, like "we will let you know when the time is right." What? I have friends who sell on mercari, also, and they sell the exact same type of merchandise, but live in a different state. They were immediately given the ability to ship with USPS Priority Mail, even though they have sold 2-3 items at the times, whereas I sold a large number of items and still have to charge the buyers 11 bucks for shipping because the weight is just a touch over 1 lb so it cannot go with USPS First Class mail, but mercari insists I use FEDEX Smart Post. It would be much cheaper using USPS flat rate small box, alas, no such option for me. Again, stupid idea, because the buyer is - rightfully - upset for the unnecessarily expensive shipping, which costs the Seller AND mercari loss of revenue! Sometimes, I wonder who is leading this company that this person is incapable to realize the amount of money all these inexplicable restrictions cause to them?
10. Sellers beware: Mercari does not offer a good organization of listings at all! If you sell in multiple categories, say good-buy to Buyers' ability to SEARCH for more like items. Example: If someone likes or buys a bracelet, but you also sell in 10 other categories (shoes, electronics, handbags, cosmetics, DVDs, etc.) and the buyer would love to find more similar bracelets, or only view your handbags - good luck with 1,200 listings of yours, as the Buyer will not be able to search all of your listings, unless he or she clicks on all of your 55 pages of listings, one by one, with each page containing 24 or so item listings! Who the heck, pardon my English, has the time to do this? Again, poor company management that costs the Sellers AND mercari lots of $$$$ in sales that could have happened, but did not.
11. The return system is so flawed that it makes you want to bang your head against a wall. If, at any time, there is a return request from a Buyer, mercari in its usual obscurity handles it on your behalf, and you the Seller will only know about it once mercari ALREADY decided to accept the return. Buyers can claim a wild array of reasons that are untrue and even may provide picture of an item which they have intentionally damaged, you the Seller have no other choice but to agree to the return, despite evidence provided that the Buyer originally contacted you with a typical Buyer's remorse request to request a CREDIT for the item he wants to send back. Mercari policy allows no such credit and buyer's remorse, that is one thing among a few that they do right, However, if the Buyer opens a return request and you learn about it after the request is approved by mercari, as noted above, then good luck to you changing that approval - by the time you got someone from mercari's CS to read your message about providing evidence via Buyer communication that he wanted basically to exchange this item for something else he fancies, the case is closed in Buyer's favor! Why? Because CS either has not done a good enough job prior to approving the Buyer's return request, on reviewing ALL communication between the Buyer and the Seller, due to being lazy or overworked - OR, because the CS reviewing return requests has no access to all communications between this Buyer and the Seller. Facit: too little, too late - you are forced to accept a return even though it was mercari's poor organization that is responsible for the delay in them receiving your message and actually looking into the fine details of the case! One hand (= one team) does not know what the other hand (= team) is doing. Yet another example for extremely poor programmers being employed by this company. All information should be available to any CS looking into a case at any time, while a request is open. That is a no-brainer!
12. Too few CS employees - while they officially tell you they will get back with you within 8 hours, they actually do not. Then when they do - if you recently changed e-mail address - they will send their message to an e-mail account you may no longer be using.
13. As a buyer, I made some good purchases there, as the majority of Sellers are good. However, once again due to the very poor programming applied to the site, it does happen that I would purchase an expensive item and NEVER hear anything from the Seller - because, while mercari lists the item as available, after you pay, you can wait and wait and send multiple messages but the Seller is MIA. That Seller may have died, moved to a different marketplace, sold the same item elsewhere, or is just simply irresponsible and does not check his emails or other mercari communication that tells him, he made a sale. In my opinion, mercari should be able to put these listings where the Seller has not been active for over a month, in the Inactive mode - alas, mercari enjoys getting paid and using YOUR money, and once you realize the item you purchased will never going to be shipped to you and you request a refund, you get your money back. However, mercari was using your $$$ in the meantime!
14. Also from the Buyer's point of view, it is more than frustrating that if you search for an item, you have to take an additional step to exclude items being shown to you that have already SOLD to other Buyers. (This is yet another example for psychological manipulation and Seller-unfriendly practices, btw: because, when a potential Buyer can see that a similar top or pair of used shoes sold for 10 bucks earlier on the site, and your same item is a brand new item in box, the Buyer will attempt to get this item from the Seller for 12 bucks instead of just offering 5-10 bucks less than the brand new retail price printed on the box (say, $ 55).
To summarize my experience as a Seller, mercari receives a rating of 1 on a scale of 5 from me, and a rating of 3 on a scale of 5 as a Buyer, making it an average of 2 out of 5 stars. As a Seller, I will think about it hard to continue to list my items there, unless at such time when mercari will offer a store-like setup and significant improvements to its Contact Us feature. As a Buyer, I may use them, but only after first contacting a Seller to find out whether the Seller is still active - BEFORE forking over my money to mercari due to trusting that a listed item is still available. To mercari's CEO: You, Sir, are either asleep at the wheel, or have some unknown agenda in which the actual money you take in from your business is less important to you than that unknown part of your goals, be it the collection of CC information, private consumer information, such as names, addresses, etc., or something entirely different. Good luck!
All of the information I have shared already, for both buyers and sellers.
I used to love Mercari, I considered it one of my most favorite selling apps for quite a while but that all ended roughly a year ago when i saw what Mercari really is but till recently, I reluctantly continued selling and buying there. Yesterday I pulled all of my listings because of a RIDICULOUS and time consuming issue Mercari created out of thin air. Now, i will mention i have been a member since 2017, i have over 300 reviews and all are FIVE star reviews, i do not have ANYTHING but 5 star reviews. I also have every badge they offer such as the trustworthy badge, quick shipper, reliable. Just to name a few. I have a verified account so, in short, i am a model Mercari user and i have NEVER had ANY problems with ANY of my sales. I had about 20 listings published as of Monday 11/2/20. I take significant time to take my own clear and detailed photos on ALL of my listings, I THROUGHLY described my items in the space i am allowed via Mercari. I use ALL space provided to me to COMPLETELY and CLEARLY represent my listings 100% of the time which takes a significant amount of time for me. Well, last weekend i got an email that one of my listings had been deactivated by Mercari because of "prohibited conduct" that is all the information i was given, nothing telling me what specifically the issue was. I was incredibly confused because, as I mentioned, I know the rules and I follow them entirely, life has enough issues for me to create more hassle by breaking rules. In this listing i was selling a 220+ Beauty/Makeup sample bundle, which means i was selling a group of beauty/makeup samples that actually totaled 226 but incase i miscounted i labeled it 220+ so they knew they would get a MINIMUM of 220 items w/their purchase. Mercari allows only 1000 characters for the description, i wrote a 915 character description detailing all the most pertaining information. Mercari allows 12 photos, i posted 12 CLEAR photos i put a lot of effort into to represent ALL items that were included. I had two pictures of showing everything at once and 10 of each part of the laid out items. So, because i was given zero direction on what Mercari found to be a big enough problem to deactivate my listing for, i tried to figure it out but couldn't so I opened a ticket with Mercari asking them to be more specific. Took the a full day to respond, in which time i reactivated my listing. They then told me that the issue was that I hadn't specified what the buyer would receive. This is the FIRST paragraph of that exact listing "With your purchase you will receive ALL products pictured. There are over 220 amazing & fun items for the ultimate pampering experience" AND as mentioned I attached 12 CLEAR pics of EVERYTHING that would be sent. When Mercari responded with this, they had, again, deactivated my listing. Per Mercari's own rules you DO NOT gave to list each individual item in the description but, if there is more than one item there must be CLEAR pictures of ALL items. Well check, i did EVERYTHING I could to thoughtfully and THOROUGHLY represent my listing. Now, normally this would just be annoying but, it's much more insulting when you know Mercari CONSTANTLY allows their rules to be broken by MANY users. People using stock photos (against the rules), price jacking (no no via Mercari) AND that they ignore reports of CLEARLY counterfeit items. I have been reporting a designer purse for a YEAR, one that even my untrained eye saw was fake immediately. For A YEAR I have reported it and guess what, it is still there as of this very minute. Mercari picks and chooses who to pick on. Here i am doing EVERYTHING i can to be a awesome and helpful user and they nit pick me when there was ZERO vaild reason to do so yet, a clearly counterfeit purse, which i also directly emailed them my concern earlier this year, remains ready to buy. People using OBI stock photos list by the minute and yet they are VERY rarely penalized. Yet i was penalized TWICE for NOTHING. So, to close i will nit be selling on Mercari further, they are no longer the most cost effective site to sell on since additional fees were recently put into place and after being harassed and my time wasted, I'm done. Mercari is NOT safe. MERCARI is NOT fair and WILL NOT treat each user equally and that site is a MESS, yet the raised fees? PLEASE do not bother selling there. They WILL NOT help you. They ALLOW people to be scammed because hey, if a scammer gets paid, so does Mercari. PLEASE read ALL negative reviews, they are factual. This is such an issue that today, i am filing a report with the Better Business Bureau against Mercari and i will be providing as much evidence proving and validating my claims I mentioned here. I have over 100 pictures supporting my case. That is how AWFUL Mercari is and how fed up i am.
BE CAREFUL
Stay the f**k away, you've been warned!
I have bought a lot on Mercarihad an account since 2018, I am rated a 5 star Buyer, verified address and credit card no complaints filed against me and my experience has been great because the Sellers I dealt with were honest, reputable and accountable. Then that all changed on 2-13-2020 and I want buyers to be aware of what could happen to them.
Mercari failed miserably to help me with a non responsive non compliant Seller and I will never use them again and I am here to tell everyone who is thinking of buying on this site Not To. You may be lucky like I was to have never run into a problem Seller but when you do you are on your own.
I purchased 3 new dolls from a Seller on 2-13-2020. On 2-14-2020 the order was marked "In Transit" Mercari notified me my package was shipped. On 2-15 and 2-16 I checked with Fed Ex was advised both times that a label was created by the Seller but that they did not have my package. I messaged the Seller several times asking for good shipping information but received no response. I messaged this Seller through another one of their for sale items finally received a response and asked about my purchase I was told now that they were shipped on 2-17 not 2-14 so again I checked with Fed Ex - label only no package. I checked with Fed Ex on 2-18 again label only no package I sent another message to the buyer after 6 hours with no response I went into the order to cancel it but because the order was marked "In Transit" by either the Seller or Mercari back on 2-14-2020 the option to cancel was not available to me - be sure to remember this if you buy anything on Mercari.
On 2-18-2020 I sent email to Help Center asking them to cancel this order immediately due to a non responsive non compliant Seller on 2-19-2020 this is what they sent to me "Thanks for reaching out. We are currently experiencing longer than usual response times, but rest assured our team is hard at work to answer inquiries on a first come first served basis and will get back to you as soon as possible."
Ok its 2-19-2020 and I'm 6 days from my order date knowing absolutely nothing more than when I purchased the dolls on 2-13-2020. So I contacted my financial institution and to my surprise Mercari hit my credit card on 2-16-2020 and I still did not have good shipping information nor did I have the dolls. And in addition to that I received a notification that the dolls were delivered and to be sure to rate the Seller so they can get their money WHAT WAIT I don't have my dolls. So to protect myself and my $100+ I filed a dispute on this one transaction only.
Well I heard back from Team Mercari that same day, they advised me that they had SUSPENDED MY ACCOUNTyou read right they suspended me. When I attempted to again address the problems I was having with the Seller and why I filed the dispute they said that I VIOLATED Mercari's Terms and Conditions by filing a dispute with my bank and my account will remain SUSPENDED and furthermore they can not discuss or address any of my issues with this Seller until I WITHDRAW my dispute. WOW talk about a one sided mentality.
2-20-2020 Another notification from Mercari In order to address this issue please first cancel the bank dispute and provide a document from the bank stating that this dispute has been withdrawnand in the same message Team Mercari says they checked my transaction once again and it appears that the item is currently in transit and schedule delivery date is 2/22/2020. But it was "In Transit back on 2/14/2020 and 2/17 too so
IT GETS BETTER - Now I am expected to cancel my dispute without receiving my purchase and I am told that Mercari shall be the final arbitrator of all disputes arising from transactions made on their platform and that UNCONDITIONAL COMPLIANCE with their process must be accepted - UNCONDITIONAL COMPLIANCE.WOW.and I VIOLATED this maybe I did I don't know I'm still looking for this verbage in their Terms and Conditions either way "Team Mercari" and this Seller left me no other choice. I could not afford to throw $100+ down the drain I had to protect myself.
WAIT ITS STILL GETTING BETTER - 2-21-2020 I checked with Fed Ex yes package in their hands to be delivered on 2-22-2020 9 days after purchase Ok so I cancelled my dispute with my bank, my bank notifies Mercari like they did when it was first filed but wait that's not good enough for Team Mercari On 2-22-2020 I am now being told that they want paper proof that I withdrew it send it to them when I get it but my account will remain SUSPENDED. I tell Team Mercari that the hard copy will be available 3 to 5 business days from the day I cancelled it and that I will forward it when its available. On 2-22-2020 I get my dolls now they want me to rate the Seller yeah right. "Dolls great condition Communication Poor Purchased 2-13 rec'd 2-22 you do the Math"
WAIT FOR IT 2-23-2020 Team Mercari who had absolutely no time to help me prior to my filing my dispute with my bank is working overtime now I am now told that until SUCH TIME as all disputes filed against my Mercari account are cancelled and verification is completed, my account shall remain suspended "PENDING TERMINATION". NEW VERBAGE ADDED Yes indeed... PENDING TERMINATIONThey give me 48 hours to produce scan and send them a copy of the withdrawalfunny how they gave this Seller 9 damn days to get me my purchase. But whose counting let alone addressing that issue right?. I again tell Team Mercari that the hard copy will be available 3 to 5 business days from the day I cancelled it and that I will forward it when it's available.
DRUM ROLL PLEASE On 2-27-2020 I secure a copy of the dispute cancellation from my bank, scan it in and send it to Team Mercari.
FINAL CURTAIN PLEASE On 2-28-2020 Team Mercari thanks me for the letter confirming the chargeback was cancelled BUT now to "Assist them in reviewing my account they want me to verify my information. Verification must be completed in their App and within 48 hours" what the hell I'm curious now they want a copy of my driver's license you read right "my driver's license". It has to be a state issued ID or driver's license, military ID or US issued passport. I finally figure it out I was being treated like a criminal here instead of a victim of a non compliant non responsive Seller. I informed Team Mercari that I was not going to send them a copy of my driver's license nor would I be jumping through any more of their hoops.and to go ahead and close my account if that's what they wanted to do.and you know what and this is VERY IMPORTANT SO LISTEN UP BUYERSthey never once addressed the issues I had with this Seller.SO WAKE UP THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU.
I saw this site come up on my Instagram thread and decided to try it out. After all, it was new and I wanted to check it out. A couple weeks prior to Christmas and during the lol surprise doll craze, I bought a 24k DJ that my granddaughter wanted. Absolutely a smooth transaction. I received the item brand new, unopened and put it under the tree. Since the transaction went so well and the item I received was correct I decided to buy again. So about a week before Christmas I decided to purchase a pair of Apple AirPods for my daughter. The site was full of them and they were selling like hot cakes. I found a seller, looked at the pics on his ad. The box was labeled Apple AirPods, even had the pic and everything. I read a few of his reviews and they seemed ok. Now, I could have easily afforded to go to Apple and buy a pair, but when I saw these about $50 cheaper I jumped on it because I'm always looking for a bargain. I purchased. The item arrived the day before Christmas. My daughter wasn't able to fly in due to work so I told her I'd drop them in the mail. No biggie, so 2 days after Christmas I mailed them to her. She got the package about 3 days after that. She ended up flying home a day later and brought them with her. When she arrived to the house she had her AirPods that she was so excited about. She hadn't even opened them. The package still sealed and unopened. I suggested she go to the Apple store and register them and get insurance just in case anything happened, so she went. Once she got there and told them what she needed to do the tech looked at her box and said the font is different. She asked what he meant. He said the lettering was different and took her to go see the actual boxes for AirPods gen 1,2, and 3. Sure enough the lettering on the boxes was different and the pic of the pods looked as if it was floating and not embossed. My daughter opened the package at this time to review the contents. She noted they were very lightweight and very unlike the ones she had the year before. The tech took them to test and the identify under a special light and whatever authenticating devices they use to determine authenticity of Apple products. Not only did the tech return but so did the manager. Both reported that these AirPods are fake replicas and not a genuine Apple product at all. They wouldn't even touch it because it's not an Apple product. She tried them at that time just to see what the sound quality was and it sounded like she was under water. The sound was horrible, much like hearing a tape recording from the 90s. I was in shock. I spent my hard earned money on fakes. We took pics while at the Apple store of the product and boxing. I contacted Mercari right away via email by way of their support and explained everything and added the pics as well. In fact I sent 2 emails. I also called them after this and was told I would get a response within 24 hrs. Guess what? I received a response email that night that was the same email I sent to complain and request a refund. And with no representative name or anything. The next day I call back again to request a resolve to my issue. It was that afternoon that I got an email through Mercari stating they are unable to help me because it's beyond the 3 days after receipt so for this reason they cannot refund me. Mind you, I cannot contact the seller. Mercari blocks you from this once you rate them. In order for the seller to be paid, you have to rate. Mercari sends you countless notifications to do this even before you receive the product. It was my stupidity for not reading their ill policy on this. This is what I found out after the fact; once the seller ships and you receive, you have approximately 3 days to rate them in order for them to be paid. By rating the seller you are acknowledging that you are satisfied with the product and it is as described on the ad. At this point you will not be able to contact the seller once rated. If it is past even a day beyond 3 days of receipt you forfeit your right to a refund whether you rate the seller or not. So either way it's a done deal. I'm sorry that I cannot look at a sealed box with the Apple logo and pic and be able to tell if it is a fake or not. I just didn't think people would do that and especially with Apple. I rated the seller for quick shipping and arrived as described in ad. The ad looked legit and he had sold like 50 in that short time span. I just assumed he was some sort of Apple dealer. I'm not a crook, I don't fraud people, and I don't lie. If I pay for something that I am buying based off what you are representing it is then I expect to get exactly that, not a fake replica. And Mercari's response to this is appalling. There is no buyer protection. They push you to rate so seller can be paid, but I never saw it emphasized that you must open and inspect the product thoroughly and all within 3 days. So if you receive A product on a Friday and just so happens the place you need to take the item to the verify it's authenticity isn't open until monday or maybe Tuesday due to a holiday then you've automatically passed the 3 days and you're stuck. I've bought many times over the years from both eBay and Amazon and have never experienced this problem. If there was an issue then there's buyer protection or you can still get in touch with the buyer to arrange a return of the product. It's like this site gives the crook the green light to be fraudulent. They may or may not reach out to this awful seller who has not only done this to me but I'm sure countless others. If they shut him/her down then that person will just open a new ad tomorrow under a different name and continue to do the same thing, and that's fraud buyers. It's really sad. I didn't find Mercari on the better business bureau website. It's too risky for me to ever buy on the site again. Honestly, I can't even recommend because I'd hate for this to happen to someone else. This company can not control the frauds but they definitely can make better regulations and policies to handle things like this, provide better customer service, and some buyer protection just as you guarantee sellers payments. I can't imagine with all the complaints that it will last in the US as long as Amazon and Ebay have. I will admit my first experience was a good one, the second as you can see was a nightmare. So there are some honest people out there, but as a company Mercari has to do better. I won't do business on the site because of this. I've spent thousands on amazon, eBay, and OfferUp, but Mercari won't get another dime from me.
