Jackson TN store will not allow you to use the restroom. So if you're in there with kids and someone has to go... to bad! I left no purchase!
I went to Maurice's in Pleasant Prairie to buy a gift for a family member. That family member was with me in the store. I showed the associate my ID and store card and she questioned my family member if she lived with me and she needed her ID to give a discount? I explained I am buying it and had cash in my hand, the family member was not purchasing it. Then after the receipt was printed I signed my name and she asked me to put my store # down? Why? She just seen my store card with the store # on it. I have been to a Maurice's before and never had this problem. The sales associate 999 was very rude and very embarrassing to me in front of my family member. Thanks for your rudeness! I will never shop there if she is there. No people skills whatsoever!
Recently made a purchase on-line and had items delivered to Maurices in Danville IL. Ordered 2 items, a pair of sandals and a $50 gift card. This was to be a birthday gift for my daughter to be picked up by her at the store. Sandals came in but no one seems to know what happened to the $50 gift card. We have been to the store twice now and keep getting told Fedex has not delivered it yet. Well, my email says Fedex has delivered it! Very unhappy with my very first on-line purchase with Maurices. Also, so far no emails have been answered and can't seem to speak with someone in customer service due to being on hold for up to 20 minutes and sales clerks at the store just keep saying they will call corporate.
I ordered some items on line May 12. When i track my order it says it was delivered BUT I didn't receive it? I have emailed multiple times, tried to call many times (they are either closed or have me on hold forever), chat is NEVER online.
I thought i would give this store a try and i even opened a credit card BUT if i don't have an answer from Maurice's today i am done and i will cancel my card.
For mothers day my boy friend went to Maurices (because he knows how much I love that store). Jenna Hayes from the Greenfield Ma store was working and helped him pick out some amazing clothes and shoes for me. She is awesome, thank you so much Jenna <3
I love the clothes at Maurice's. Unfortunately, the service at the store in windsor, on is terrible! They don't tell you about specials, check on you in the dressing room, I feel like I'm interrupting conversations to get some help! With the new points system, I've given my email address 3 times and have yet to receive my points, after spending quite a bit of money there. I as well work in retail and know that if WE treated our customers this way, no one would come back. A little more coaching is needed I believe.
My local Maurices store in Lacrosse, WI is HORRIBLE! Every time I go in there they are not only rude but they follow you around like a lost puppy. On top of that they try and get you to buy anything they grab off the rack. When I was looking at boots they said 50% off. I go to buy them and they came up FULL price even though it had 2 different sale signs up. I told the employee that and of course she had the other girl go take them down. I said fine I dont want them and she called me a $#*! under her breath. I had no problem returning the gesture to her as I left the store.
My daughter worked there for a short time, she witnessed the store manager take returned clothing home to wash and put them back on the rack and sell them as new, last I knew this was not a second hand store. The store is in Joplin Missouri. I could go on and on but will be contacting the corporate office on the other issues. Just beware of what you purchase, check out what you intend to buy!
Maurices used to have a great selection of clothes for the work place. They are trending more towards teens now and leaving behind the young professionals that are looking for business casual clothes. Bring back the work appropriate dresses!
I used to absolutely love Maurices! It was my goto store being plus sized. They had tons of variety and cute styles for plus styles, whereas lots of other stores have the plus size looking like granny clothes. But ever since they did the huge store redecoration and made the plus size section less than half, it's just disappointing! Used to they had the same styles for plus as the regular, now they don't. Used to I'd have 5 or more different choices I wanted and now it's maybe one. I usually leave the store disappointed! I haven't tried online because I prefer to spend money in person. Also I'm just so so tired of the flowy pilgrim 70s shirts. Can we actually have cute styles again? Don't advertise in variety of sizes and styles BS when it's limited for sure!
I really like this store but their credit card does not offer automatic payments. I can only assume this is to snag late fees. So, beware if you open an account.

The first time I went to Maurices was when the store first opened and it was great. I went back several times after and even signed up for a credit card. I was so happy to have a different plus size store in town with awesome clothing. Half the store was plus size and the other half regular sizes. But now it's changed. More than half the store cater to regular size clothing and in the back corner is the small selection of plus size clothing. Now I'm so disappointed on how the store is set up. I wasted my time signing up for a credit card that I hardly ever use any more. The plus size clothing doesn't have a good selection anymore. I go back every so often to check it out. But every time I go it's a waste of time. WTF Maurices! BOOOOOOO!
I was in the Maurice's store at Honey Creek Mall in Terre Haute, Indiana this evening and was treated terribly by two of the employees there. I felt I was being watched and profiled and when I asked if i did something wrong and why they were laughing at me when I left the store the girl replied "I just wanted to know if you were ok". I told two other sales people I was fine but was continually watched while I was in the store. When I asked for the manager she told me she was the manager and I asked her if she felt it was ok for her and her employees to laugh and treat customers that way. She again said I asked if you were ok. She was very disrespectful and rude and I will never go in that store again as long as they are working there. I felt very nervous and uncomfortable as if they did not want me in there. This is a terrible way to make customers feel and it should be addressed immediately. Very poor skills for a manager and her employees. I felt because I was an older white woman they thought they could make me feel like I should not be shopping in there. After reading other reviews about this store, I have come to realize this isn't they only store that treats its customers this way. Your store is a disgrace to the public.
I purchased a short sleeve sweatshirt tunic with rolled button on sleeve. The fit was great, the quality was very good and comfortable. I received it in just couple days.
I loved it so I went online again and bought it in another color. We now have a Maurice store in mall so I will shop there also. Happy with my purchase.
I love shopping online with Maurices. My items are always delivered with in a week. My items are always as expected and the return process is awesome as well. You can ship back to them or take it to a store. I ordered some items before black Friday and I am close to a store so visited the store on black Friday to do my return. I was able to take advantage of the in-store deals to get money back on my items that I needed to exchange and ended up getting all my items exchanged, a new sweater, scarf, and $10.00 back! I am BEYOND IMPRESSED!
I was in Kansas City and decided to try the Maurices in the ward parkway mall. The customer service was AWFUL. They didn't greet me when I came in but as soon as a caucasian women came inside they walked up to her, greeted her, and told her about the sells. The store manager was a total $#*! and didn't speak to me or show me any attention until she saw me with some items in my hand, however the associate working was the only one to get me a fitting room. The manager added things I didn't ask for in my room and continued to harass me in my fitting room. I don't know if she was racist or not but I ended up not buying anything. I didn't remember her name exactly it started with a T though. Just a warning for any Kansas City women visiting the store... Don't the management team is $#*!ty and the clothes are WAY over priced. I would have complained on their website but you have to buy something to even give them feedback on their service. That should tell you what kind of store they are.
My first experiences with the store in McMinnville, OR were great when Andrea worked there! I work retail so I know all about customer service and how important it is to be a "yes we can help you" business when someone is doing a return. I didn't catch the name of the girl behind the register today unfortunately otherwise I would include it. I brought in a shirt that was really cute that I wore one time. I was not satisfied with the fit and wanted to exchange it for a bigger size. The store was out of stock. I haven't heard great things about special orders from this store so I declined the offer of having the size shipped. I just wanted to return it. She offered to have it put back on the card or an in store credit. As I went to my wallet to get the card I realized I'd forgotten it, embarrassed I let her know and she said she could do in store credit or I could take the shirt back. Now the only reason this is an issue is because it creates an inconvenience for me to have to leave and come back. This store has done cash returns before when it was on a card without an issue. It is more convenient for customers instead of making them return with the card, shirt and receipt. In store credits are easy to lose if you aren't using them that day. I shopped that store pretty often and have had issues with quality of clothing but this is the first time I've had issue with a clerk. I won't be returning to Maurice's in any location and have written a letter to corporate. I don't advise anyone to shop here unless you enjoy low quality clothing, being inconvenienced, and hassled unnecessarily. Shop somewhere else where your business is appreciated.
I like the fact of buying things online since the stores around me don't have much of a selection. I don't like that when your shopping on their website and things are taken out of your cart before you have a chance to even checkout. Really frustrating! Tonight I bought off of there. Didn't get the free shipping like I was suppose to and I was over 50.00. While I was in the middle of checking out and updating my information etc. stuff was removed from my cart again. I didn't realize it til after I submitted my order. Not really happy right now with them and I think I will be shopping elsewhere.
I do like most of Maurices clothes it was the service and rude attitude of the people working there each time that made me decide never to come back. On two different occasions this month I tried shopping there for my daughter's back to school clothes both times the same girl (that seemed to be the manager) was standing behind the counter $#*!ing about her job and talking bad about others with coworkers loudly. BOTH TIMES I was there for at least 25 -30 mins and no one working there seemed to notice! I got my own fitting room, no one helped me with picking out anything and the one time I asked about a sale sign no one seemed to know what was part of the sale or not and wasn't interested in helping me find any of the items that were part of the sale. I'm just very disappointed in Maurices and with so many other stores to shop with comparable if not better clothes I won't be a returning customer.
