Trying to empty my inbox has taken me days not because of the amount of email but because of yahoo system getting in the way. I try to filter all messages by sender, when you select all it only selects all thats on that page not all of them... why your the only platform that does this. I try and clock on the icon for sender it will direct me to their site nooo I want to see all email by this sender. If you try and search for an email by sender info it will google search kind of deal all letter you entered in and show you results that are not from this sender. Their platfrom has add built in that get in your way and require you to pay to remove adds I will never open a new yahoo email. I wish I could better forward all my email from yahoo to google so when I delete it it will delete on my yahoo.

Long time user

Have enjoyed Yahoo email and yahoo search engine since they were number one in the field. And I caddied for chief yahoo Jerry Yang at the San Francisco Golf Club. His kind appreciation of my venture into Silicon Valley business during the dotcom meltdown buying used cell phones for resale has inspired me to this day.

I know it won't make any difference, but I have to get this off my mind. Why the frog would yahoo make their classic version... the one that I could set the view to the way I like it... unavailable. Only two versions... the newest one, and the "basic" one that pops up encouragement to switch to the newest version EVERY time? What the frog was broken with the old version? Was it too difficult for their IT guys to code? If every contact I had was using my yahoo email address, I would switch to something else. Thank God there are IT guys that love bells and whistles so much they feel compelled to force everybody else to use them as well. OK, 'nuff said. Your search - I know it won't make any difference, but I have to get this off my mind. Their system used to work well however their new system is quite poor. They have gone from an efficient system that worked to one that is buggy and continually shows pops ups asking if you'd like to accept their advertising - it never goes away and you can't click no. I suspect this is an illegal practice in Europe. Sending emails to help support is time wasted as nothing ever comes back. Avoid.

Yahoo Mail used to be great, but that is no longer the case, mostly because of all the horrible changes they made in recent years. I still like Yahoo Mail's format better than the rest, but they should have left things as they were a long time ago. Yahoo Mail makes improvements in the same manner that eBay makes improvements all the time. Their so called improvements often make things worse.

I have no problem with advances in technology, but not when old tried and true is discarded.
After all Yahoo mail is just that... its mail... a way of communicating with others. Today I could not log-in... there was a new feature, they asked me for my phone number or another email address with the pretense that I can "recover".
Since I had no choice I complied and I got a "log-in" number sent via my phone. It took me 3 attempts to figure out what to do, since it was not obvious to me where to enter these 5 digits of log-in number. Anyway these log-in numbers are nonsense as well, Many banks now ask me to enter the login number they have sent to my phone. This means, that my bank account is only as safe as my password for my yahoo mail?
All these road blocks with the pretense to make things safer do not work. I had to change my CC number twice last year because of fraudulent debits on my account and the CC has a chip, I never lost it and I never handed it to anybody... not even in a restaurant or bar... where I pay cash only.
To prevent identity theft, I propose we start the hangings of those who get caught... this would stop it. Our laws are too weak to prosecute anybody and CC companies just "accept" the losses and move on.
So, Yahoo Mail... just a password to log in please... nothing more. Allow me to make it weak or strong... stay logged in or not... my choice.
And when you make changes... only additions to functionality (never doing the same thing just different), which I can ignore or not.

Ridiculous
March 23, 2020

After waiting on hold for an hour, I finally got through to someone. I called to reset an old account that I have not used in a while because I needed to find an important email. I was then told by technical support in order to do so I had to be charged a fee before they could go ahead and do that, this is so unheard of! After asking to speak to a supervisor I was then hung up on
Way to be professional Yahoo, your giving your giving yourself quite the name especially during this "epidemic"!

I've had a Yahoo! Account for a few years now and just this morning, I noticed that MY phone number (the only number I've had) is linked to someone else's account! In trying to figure out what was happening, I used up all of the available codes sent to my phone for 24 hours, so I emailed Yahoo! Support and called them. THEY WON'T HELP ME UNLESS I PAY THEM! The scariest part about this is that the person whose account is linked to my number, I could go in and change their password without confirming that I'm the owner of that account, and suddenly my password no longer works for me on my account, so there's a good chance MY PASSWORD HAS BEEN CHANGED BY SOMEONE ELSE, and of course to terminate my account and switch it to a better email service, I need to enter my freaking password!

Awful!
February 10, 2020

Since they have revamped Yahoo mail, I have to delete emails 3 or more times to finally get it to put those emails in the trash. I've contacted the support team 4 or 5 times to complain about these issues yet receive no reply and getting stuck with the same issues! I hate this service!

I was looking for help for a simple task like whiteboarding an email addy, but the info the support bot gave didn't match what I was supposed to be seeing on my screen under the 'settings'. If I want REAL help I have to shell out $5/month!

One day last week, I noticed I had only a few emails in my inbox. I checked and I had nothing before the new year. I filed a complaint through their system, in which I had to claim that I mistakenly deleted my emails. They restored all my emails back to 1998 BUT none from 2019. They claim they're not available. REALLY!
