I can't even do the most basic thing like logging in with a password. Every time it asks me to "open any yahoo app" and tap on the account key icon to get an account key code. I don't have any other yahoo apps with the same account signed on, so how the heck am I suppose to get an account key code? The link to "use text or email to sign in" only gives me an error "uh-oh". Why yahoo has become so unusable over the years I don't know. It's so complicated and buggy, I ought to delete all my yahoo accounts if ever I manage to get in!
I signed-up for a trial YAHOO! Mail PRO membership but quickly decided it was not for me. I cancelled my trial membership within the suggested 14 day cancellation period. Since cancelling the YAHOO ad for PRO continues to POP-UP when I try to open an email. This POP-UP AD is EXTREMELY ANNOYING as I must stop and request a return to YAHOO BASIC before opening the email. Is there a way to DELETE THIS POP-UP AD? I have tried YAHOO HELP with NO LUCK. THEY DON'T SEEM TO CARE!
It seems that since Verizon purchase Yahoo mail it's becoming one big advertising Festival it's hard to read articles when ads are constantly popping up
Such a crap service, it has you going around in circles. I feel management are on the floor howling at me as I return back to the starting point without gaining access. Wait there is more... I can pay for THEIR premium service hahaha, think not.
Without question a seriously poor organization and product. Their bias in their news coverage is a nothing short of a disgrace. Topics are slanted so far to the left it really should be based in Moscow.
I have never used anything other than Yahoo for my email. It logged me out and I no longer had access to the backup email for verification. I had to pay $16 for them to let me back into my account. I think it is completely ridiculous that I had to pay in order to talk to a support agent. I will be transferring all of my accounts elsewhere outside of yahoo very soon.
The things that's driving absolutely bats is that when I've replied to an email, that email now stays open until I manually close it. It used to be that -- logically -- after you replied to an email, the original email automatically closed. Now you have to manually shut them, a huge and maddening waste of time. And at some point I saw a statement from Yahoo actually saying, in effect, don't complain about this because we're not changing it.
That was several years ago and nothing has changed. I only stay with them because of the horror of having to switch to a new system and either lose or move all the previous emails.
Yahoo has taken out the comment section to all their postings because of how much of punk little $#*!es they are. They constantly post left wing biased news and should get sued for trying to promote only the news they want to indoctrinate you with.
This is what the Yahoo customer service center can provide you if/when your long-forgotten Yahoo email address from 2002 has been hacked and the person or persons who hacked said account begin actively using your personal information with other services (for example, sending unsolicited Amazon packages in your name to your prior address):
1. File a "ticket" with "another department."
2. Inform you that "another department" will contact you by email "probably" within 48 hours.
What Yahoo customer service cannot provide you with, while experiencing this exact issue:
1. The name of the department which is now allegedly opening an investigation.
2. A contact number for the department which is now allegedly opening an investigation.
3. An email address for the department which is now allegedly opening an investigation.
4. A temporary suspension of the account while the Yahoo Mystery Team allegedly investigates.
5. A supervisor. Unless you're willing to debate the first-line CSR for 75 minutes about the necessity of speaking to a supervisor. They almost certainly have a policy against escalating to a supervisor for which the CSR is somehow reprimanded or punished.
6. A competent supervisor (given an infinite amount of time). The supervisor cannot provide you a contact number for the department which investigates the issue. They can offer no guarantee of the time frame the Yahoo Mystery Team will contact you. Fun side note: the supervisor, who identified himself as "Melvin," actually mumbled "$#*!" on the call. Having worked in a (reputable) call center training department years ago, I can tell you that this idiot lacks even the minimal competence necessary for a first-day CSR. For a supervisor, it's a hanging offense. These calls are recorded and reviewed for quality (well, maybe not the case here, who knows). What a jackass.
7. A level-3 supervisor or manager, when it becomes apparent that the "supervisor" is an idiot who can't assist you but forgets he's on a recorded line.
8. Minimally competent assistance (at any level, at any time).
9. An apology for failing to provide minimally competent assistance when a customer experiences identity theft through a service that they provide.
So if you've long since forgotten about that Yahoo email account from 20 years ago (because obviously no one still uses their Yahoo email account... it's 2020 guys), better get on there, lock it down now and deactivate it. Yahoo's too broke to be of much help when you experience identity theft because they screwed up.
Y'all $#*!ing suck. I can't log into my mail on my phone computer or iPad because it doesn't load. I've been using yahoo mail since I was 10 I'm 20 and I'm officially done. Y'all suck $#*!, and if I could give 0 stars I would.
I found out that Yahoo deleted the account I've been using every day for 10 years. I haven't been able to recover it and they haven't provided any reason. Shady.
Some emails from certain senders keep going to junk folder for no apparent reason. And I can't figure out how to make it stop from the email app on my iphone. Overall Yahoo Mail is hard to use and not user friendly.
I've had my email account for yearssss, I get a new phone and number and now I can't log on to anything because I have to "approve" the sign in and my old phone number is the only thing on file. Now I have to call in and PAY for someone to assist me and their only other way to verify that I am the actual account holder is to name what folders I have created on the email?! Like seriously? I have had this account since I was 16... I'm 37 now! How the hell am I supposed to tell you what files I've created. Plus this isn't an email I send stuff from or expect important emails from... the screen name screams adolescent creation! Then on top of it they tell me that there's been recent activity on it! HOW? I'm locked out remember! Yahoo has terrible customer service and they can't even protect their accounts obviously... they are seriously the worst! Get a Google account... never had issues with them like this.
I had a Yahoo account. Got a new phone cant get on unless i pay $100 for a free account. Thanks yahoo. This was my buisness account. You just cost me a $40,000 job
1. How many times do I have to tell them that I want basic mail and not their new advertisement setup? Every time I click an email, there it is! I can't read the email until I answer the stupid question again.
2. I will NEVER give Yahoo! Permission to read my emails! What an obnoxious and creepy recurring request!
3. Could the political bias in the news stories I have to look at to see my emails be any more obvious? How many people are they trying to alienate?
4. It is time for me to get a new email service. Yahoo! Failed in the end. It was a great service for a long time, but it is terrible now. I seriously question whether they are trying to go out of business.
I'm forced to use a yahoo mail as it is the organization's email choice. Of course, it's free. I have important mail I get for the work I do. When I first joined I rolled my eyes because they use Yahoo mail. Because it's free it has no useful features such as "urgent." Yahoo upgraded it about a year ago - it didn't work properly for months. I had to text my contacts. Now, because the state pays for it and the organization for which I volunteer was given the free version, I get nothing but ads as my first email. I have the app on my phone so that I know when I have email. Now, I'm notified I have new mail for every ad! After I read an email, another ad is added. I'm reluctant to check the mail because 98% of the time it's just another ad. BUT - I have to because the program was purchased for the judicial branch of the state. I have to know about court dates and meetings related to my cases. I've been forced to use Yahoo mail for other organizations and it's never measured up. Now it's just a pain. Never use it if you have a choice!
Yahoo was one of the best Free Email service offered. In the last few weeks became a night mare to use unless you pay. We thought the advertisement will be enough for them. I recommend to go to any of microsoft emails.
So scandalous. Long story short, I have the password and cell phone for second authorization, I was waiting on the second authorization code to be sent to my phone but it never did. I called customer service they pretty much blackmail me by saying "yeah we can help you out right now and get you into your account but pay us first... sign up for premium service. I feel robbed and kicked while I was down. Everyone is broke, but Yahoo is thriving. I'm still locked out w dire emails to respond to
Answer: You can get the old version back by clicking on the "SWITCH TO BASIC MAIL WITH FEWER FEATURES" below the YAHOO POP-UP AD BOX. UNFORTUNATELY THIS YAHOO AD BOX CONTINUES TO POP-UP whenever I TRY TO OPEN AN EMAIL. I can find no way to delete this MOST ANNOYING YAHOO AD BOX. YAHOO HELP IS NO HELP as they IGNORE my requests.
