I had an issue with Lulu's the first time-- and posted about it. Their customer service team got in touch and helped out-- indicating they wanted me as a return customer. So I did end up taking the bait and ordering again. My item has been "untrackable" since it cleared Canadian customs. I have contacted their customer service only to be told that they can't do anything on their end-- no responsibility to customers for ensuring the goods arrive? It has been 21 days since I placed the order- this is unlike any other experience I've ever had with an American retailer before. Will NOT be ordering again- and hope my goods arrive because it seems I have no options except to wait and hope.

I needed a dress for a wedding and the bride recommended Lulus. The selection is wonderful and the return process was easy. I ordered numerous dresses and kept my favorite. I highly recommend Lulus!

The shopping experience with Lulu's was fine. The sizing doesn't make sense. An XL is listed as size 8-10 which is definitely not extra large.

Lulus does carry junior's sizing, so our clothes fit a bit smaller than standard women's sizing. An x-large in our items equates to a size 14 in standard numeric sizing. Extra charges!
I ordered 7 outfits on lulus.com. The total was 375.00 US dollars. Converting to Canadian is never fun but I was excited for my purchases. I was SHOCKED when I went to pick up my order from the post office that I had to pay an additional 135.00 to receive my package. This is extravagant. I order online often from other sites and have never encountered anything like this. Extortion. I will NOT be ordering from this company again... and if you are from Canada or anywhere outside of the USA I would seriously reconsider your purchase. The savings do not equate.

Customs fees such as duties and taxes are applied by the Canadian Border Services Agency when items are imported. As they are applied by your country's government, we have no way to control or predict their cost so it's disappointing for me to hear that they were more costly than expected.

I refunded your original shipping fee and applied a 20% coupon code to your order in hopes of helping to off-set the cost of these duties and taxes. I ordered 4 items and sent 3 back. I got an email that stated they received my return, however I noticed I only got refunded for 2 of the 3 items. When I called they told me they didn't receive 1 of my items. I told her I sent them all together and remember packaging the box. She immediately got defensive and told me the box had not been tampered with' and told me she would gladly give me store credit. Why would I want store credit after this? Ive never had a company try and pull this on me. Since then I've emailed in and it's still the run around, but they keep telling me my store credit will never expire. Too bad they weren't this quick to give a proper refund.

I ordered my two bridesmaid dresses and planned on ordering my entire destination wedding wardrobe from Lulus. But what I did not know was that my two dresses totaling $160 American would be taxed with duty at 50%. I was not told that the package I paid tax on and shipping fees already would cost me another $80. Never have I ever in all my years of online shopping been charged duty from a clothing brand. Lulus posts their receipt on the outside of the box so that no matter what it will be stopped at the boarder and charged duty.
When I contacted Lulus as to returning my dresses and getting my $80 duty fees back, they never got back to me.
I'm so unhappy with my purchase.
And the longer I wait for a response the more I spread the word to my fellow Canadians about their terrible service.
Not worth it for Canadians to order from Lulus. Their service is terrible.

Updated Review: I was contacted by the supervisor very quickly post my experience earlier today. I am pleased with the way the situation was handled and will probably try to order from Lulu's again in the near future. I have changed my rating, because I don't want to bash the whole company for one bad seed.
Old Review: I had questions about my FIRST order at Lulus. I contacted customer service via email to get clarification on the student discount. The first email I received was nice, but very unclear. I replied asking a question about what * had sent and her response was totally UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE. Customer service is everything, and if you don't have that as a company, you have nothing. I made my first purchase today and that will be the last because of the way I was treated.

They sent me the completely wrong dress. It was a different size and style than the one I ordered. I called them right away and the right dress was shipped the next day. I was very frustrated but they did mend it pretty quickly.
Really great dresses for bridesmaids. They are affordable but really good quality I would recommend looking here before anywhere else. Also they fit perfect on all the girls no one had to get it hemmed

Lulus reached out to me right away to remedy the problem. They clarified the reason and even provided a photo of the issue and are fixing this issue for me. I didn't realize there was cat hair on the dress (darnit cats!) and can understand their policy. While I wish they had approached this differently in the original email, I can understand needing returns in a certain order. Updated rating to reflect their speedy correction of this issue.
I tried the dress on once, immediately packaged it back up. Returned the item and was notified that it did not pass quality control.
There was nothing wrong with the dress, it was returned in the exact same condition as when I received it. And now all I can do is get credited (one time, as a courtesy to me apparently) so that I can buy something again from this site which I have no desire to do. I also was charged return shipping. I was a first time shopper hoping I had found a good site - but I will never buy here again.
From their email:
"Please keep this in mind for future orders that this was a one time courtesy. This would have been returned to you in regular instances. Your account has been noted. If this were to happen again, it would be refused and no refund given."
A "one-time courtesy" would have been refunding my money - not forcing me to buy more products from you after I feel like I've had poor customer service. If it had been handled that way, instead of in an email that seemed to punish and scold me, I might have felt different about lulus.
Answer: DO NOT ORDER FROM CANADA! They will charge you an insane amount for duties and taxes! I bought 2 dresses worth about $70 CAD each and I had to pay $68 CAD in duties and taxes! I've ordered from many other American companies and online stores and I've never ever paid this much is duty or taxes!
