I would give a 0 instead of a 1 if it was an option. I ordered from this site a month ago everything went well they took my money all $30 of it - for a rare movie they had listed (only 5 copies left so I thought I better move quick) the movie itself I knew was going to be a bootleg recording from a vhs as it's the only format it now exists in. It's rare so I thought it would be worth it. I never received any emails to confirm my order. It's just in a shipping queue where it has remained for 1 month now. I do get plenty of emails from them on their latest deals - so it's not like the website is inactive. I sent an email to them to follow up the order, again never heard a word.
I subsequently found the movie (bootleg as I mentioned) I was looking for uploaded to a website, downloaded it and burned it to my own dvd and it cost me all of $00.00...
Please PLEASE please do not buy from this website it's a total con and you'll also notice that any of their 5 star ratings are all posted on the same date... website needs shutting down.
All the problems are true given my experience - I did not see the warnings on line until my order was not delivered. No reply to emails, phone rings out, and $150 lost... but I have put Amex and MasterCard on to this "business" or "operation". DO NOT BUY A SINGLE ITEM. They neither respond nor care because with all the reports on line, there are still those, like myself, who go in expecting a professional service. Hopefully they will be closed down as fraud is a criminal offence. They need to be charged and EarthLink needs to remove their website.
In early August I wrote a review complaining that my May 1 order of $40 plus had not been shipped. It still has not been, & several emails last week to their customer service department have been returned as undeliverable. This SHOULD mean the company is out of business & I'm out of luck. But I still receive their ads! If this company is NOT out of business it certainly should be. In more than 20 years of Internet purchasing this is by far my worst experience.
I purchased "Cottenpickin' Chickenpickers" order #*******577 in March, 2018. The movie would not play, so I sent it back per their instructions Attn: Mickey to get a replacement. As of today's date I haven't heard from them! I've sent e-mail after e-mail, I've tried calling them, no one will answer there phone. I'll never spend another cent with them! They SUCK!
I ordered and paid for a DVD which never arrived, plus the company does not answer emails enquiring the whereabouts of my DVD or refunding me. Bad company, give it a wide birth.
Hello I placed an order with this company, it involved The Sullivans (Australian TV Series) a 100 disk plus set, it was on special about $100 off normal price, great deal including free shipping to Australia. Well that what I thought got the line card declined from accounts, rubbish card was not even accessed, Little profit in it would be more the reason, they cancelled the order and increased the price and removed free shipping on their site. From what I have read on the net I think they did me a favour!
I ordered a DVD on 19/06/18, to date nothing has arrived. I emailed for an update on 09/07/18, on 10/07/18 twice, my last email has now been returned.
In January of this year I ordered a DVD series from lovingtheclassics.com. In February a mass email was sent out letting customers know there would be a slight delay in receiving any products ordered from this company. In April, having received nothing from lovingtheclassics.com, I emailed them asking where my DVD order was. I told them my order was now 3 months overdue and if they could not get my order to me to please issue me a refund. I heard nothing from this company, no update, DVD, or refund. In June I emailed them again demanding an answer as to where my DVD order was or where my refund was. I have still heard nothing from them. It is my opinion that this company is a scam. DO NOT send them your money. You will never see it again.
I ordered a movie that was impossible to find anywhere else. Not only did they have what I was looking for but also delivered within 5 days via media mail. Very pleased.
By far the WORST online company I've ever dealt with. Ordered 2 DVD sets from them and 7 months later have never received the merchandise. Multiple emails and phone calls go completely unanswered. Stay far far away for this seller for your own good. They will take your money but have no intention of delivering. Terrible
A waiting of almost two months They send only one DVD when 2 have been paid and ordered and it is not the RIGHT movie! CROOKS!
You make an order and you can never pin them down to a delivery date. First you hear, 20 business days. Then when you try to get them to commit after that time, they tell you it's in shipping and will ship shortly, but won't give you a date! This is a group that list as 5 employees. Don't act like you're a huge corporation where you can't find out when it is coming to me. I cancelled the order and filed complaint with Attorney General's Office
The company is clearly paying people to write positive reviews. This practice should be illegal and is very deceptive.
Jo Stafford was a famous American singer who starred in several TV shows including a 1960s series filmed in London. Loving The Classics advertises a 2 dvd set of this 1960s series, however the actual DVDs feature a couple of those shows and some other Stafford clips taken from other American 1950s shows. The dvds skip and the quality is poor. I did get a refund after complaining to my credit card company. They ignored my emails before that. Their website lets you review their product, which I did but of course they have to approve the review. It still isn't there and their website is still extolling that they have this 1960s English Jo Stafford series for sale, which is false advertising!
I have been a fairly steady customer of LTC for the past nine years. Although I have experienced delays anywhere from three weeks up to four months, I have always received a prompt, courteous reply to my email within 24 hrs. The print quality of the film titles I have ordered have ranged from "pretty good" to "excellent" so I have no complaints on that subject. Their rare movie classic stock is tremendous. This is why I never ask for a refund on a mail delay; there are great films that are so difficult to get a hold of and LTC has always gotten them to me, if a bit more later than sooner!
You can find rare films here that you can't find anywhere else. They are pretty slow to ship orders and don't always respond in a timely manner, but eventually the order gets shipped. The quality of the DVDs is reasonable for rare DVD-R movies.
I ordered "Desert Legion", an Alan Ladd movie dvd from Loving the Classics. The product was great. The color, clarity, and sound were outstanding. I had a few questions and staff got right back to me in a timely manner. They have a great selection of movies that are hard to find. I highly recommend Loving the Classics and plan on doing future business with them. Very Pleased Steve Somers 3-28-18
Ordered Beau Gueste 1966 version. After 1 1/2 months got wrong dvd.
Asking for refund, no answer back.
Will not order again.
Hi, I've ordered many times from this company but quit a while ago (at least a year, maybe longer). The reason was because I didn't receive some dvd's I ordered. Once I got a credit, but I decided not to order again because a dvd I really wanted was never delivered. Then, I forgot about it. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I got the dvd a short while ago. True, the delivery wasn't timely, but the company did fulfil my order. I will give them another chance if possible, because they still have dvds of movies and tv shows that aren't available anywhere else.
Answer: Hello, We just recently joined SiteJabber and saw your negative review of our company. I'm sorry we did not provide you with a good experience. Can you give me your name and/or order number so I can work with you to get this matter resolved to your full satisfaction? Thank you, Brenda
