It was a nice experience booking with them. The agent was very polite and patient with all my queries. And not only did he get me a good deal, he made my reservation with my preferred airline as well.
Absolutely horrible experience with them! I booked a flight with them, called and they said the booking is confirmed, not to worry. The next day, I get an email saying that the booking is cancelled! I had already spent money on renting a car and insurance, and when I call to ask why, the representative states that the flight itself was cancelled. I call American airlines, they say it is not cancelled. Then I call them and they keep saying the same thing, that it is not their fault. The representatives were absolutely horrible, they would cut me off when I spoke, didn't let me finish my thoughts, and resolved absolutely nothing. They did not even want to transfer me to their supervisor. When I finally got in touch with the supervisor, he said the same things as the others, and had a horrible attitude too, did not resolve anything. Worst experience ever, stay away from them! Only option they gave me was to book the flight again, which now they were charging more than double what they originally were offering! Absolutely terrible.
My boss called Lookupfare while at the Toronto Airport this summer. She was seeking same-day flights from Toronto to NYC for herself and her family because Air Canada cancelled their flights and they needed to get home that day for medical reasons. The Lookupfare rep insisted upon getting a credit card number before even discussing flight availability. After my boss provided her credit number, the rep told her to go to a United gate where tickets would be waiting for the next flight. Totally false. There were no tickets and no seats available. Instead, Lookupfare purchased $1,900 of tickets for the following day and refused to refund them. Meanwhile, in order to get home that day as required, she had to get a car to Buffalo and purchase Delta tickets.
In July 2017 I booked a flight using Lookupfare. I received an email notification within a few minutes that said the booking was "Pending". I never received a follow-up email to notify me if the booking was complete or cancelled. The company rep said that they called my phone 3 x's, but the funny thing is there were never any messages so if they tried to call they didn't bother to leave a call back number.
Fast forward to the one week out from my trip and I just discovered that the flight was never actually booked. So much for offering a low fare if you can't deliver! I will never use this website again and will spread the word not to use this website as they are very unreliable!
OK. I know who you are. This e-mail is for documentation should we go to court. I have sent you 4 or 5 e-mails on this matter.
I ordered above ticket, along with another for my wife, on 7/17/17. There were 5 tickets available on site I thought. You sent only one ticket. I called 5 minutes laterand spoke to one BEN who attempted to get the other ticket, HE SAID. No ticket available so I said cancel. He said he would do so and send me an e-mai. SURPRISE: NO E-MAIL. I did get a charge of $17 on my credit card, probably a cancellation fee, which I was going to fight. Next the full charge for the ticket appeared. Smells of SCAM.
I HAVE DISPUTED THIS WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY, reported it to the Az AG, CFPB and FTC. I SUGGEST YOU CREDIT ALL AMOUNTS CHARGED AT ONCE.
Booked flights for a trip few months ago. In preparation for checking in I realized that one of my family members names was misspelled. Called customer service and was told someone would get back to me. After 24 hours and multiple one sided called from me I was told for $250 it could be fixed. 6 hours later was called and told that the airline was rejecting the name change and it could be fixed for $530. I called the airline itself which said that this was untrue. I called customer service back wanting to speak with a manger(which apparently does not exist) and miraculously it could be fixed for the original price of $250. Lies and price gouging! Pay the extra money go directly through the airlines.
I purchased a RT ticket for myself and a one way ticket for my daughter to go visit relatives for the summer. After getting my ticket booked, they tried to tell me the ticket price for my daughter's one way ticket jumped from $195 to $331! I told them that isn't what is on their website which I was looking at while on the phone with them. I told them at that price it was too much and I wanted to cancel the ticket. They placed me on hold and told me they could get me the same ticket for $221. I told them that was still too high and I could get the ticket cheaper elsewhere. They then were able to miraculously get it down to $198 which I thought was ok. Purchased the tickets got an e-ticket confirmation for my ticket but not my daughter. I called them and they said her ticket was still processing and would take 24 hrs. I waited an entire weekend before calling back and they told me the exact same thing - it would take 24 hrs. I told them that was unacceptable and I wanted everything cancelled and my money refunded. I was told I had to speak to the person who made my reservation who wouldn't be in for another 4 hours. Again, unacceptable and asked to speak with a supervisor or manager. I was told they could issue me a credit. I informed them again that was unacceptable - I wanted my money returned. Was put on hold for over 10 mins and was told they'd have to call me back. My trip is in 2 weeks... needless to say I'm extremely disappointed and will stick to Expedia or Travelocity in the future.
Booked a flight to Europe was sent a confirmation for 1200 dollars and then when authorized credit card payment was charged another 200 dollars on top of original confirmed price. Called the number and told them to cancel the flight as I had not agreed to that price. Told me they couldn't do it. I told them I was not happy with the price that they were charging me and told them again to cancel it. The guy kept on telling me to be patient. When I get ripped off 200 dollars I am not going to be very patient. He told me he could give me 100 dollars in vouchers for my next booking. He said he would email them. Its been 3 hours and still no email. I am not sure what this site is but will not recommend them ever or book with them again. Expedia and orbitz are much more efficient and honest sites. Beware who one books with online.
Answer: They're telling me 10 to 14 days before it will appear in your account.
Answer: So we did a trip back before the pandemic, paid, and then had to cancel due to coronavirus. We were then given credits for our flights. When we tried to reschedule, Martine hung up on us every time we have our name. Were promised call backs from people to straighten out how many credits we were actually owed after they tried charging us double the original trip cost, when we finally got it squared away with one person, we were never connected with her again and were told she screwed up and that the credits she admitted we were owed along with the confirmation emails of the credits and the confirmation numbers were wrong, and we were told we would be charged double again and that we couldn't use our full credits. When asked for the price of actual tickets they would not give, or a breakdown of the expenses they were charging us. When I asked to speak to management we were told they would call back in less than two hours. That was 10 hours ago. This is after we were promised callbacks that never happened in the past. We are about to call back again. We have spent a month trying to schedule this trip so my 2 year old daughter could see her mom. We have spent $1908 and they are asking for another $650 for a trip to Washington State. They have kept our baby girl from her mother for a month of trying to straighten it out. I can't believe they aren't shutdown yet.

Answer: Yes their hold time on the phone is a long time and they only state they will let you cancel a transaction for 4 hours after it is made. They seem to be using up that time.
