Popped up during searching for flights from Norwegian airlines, without even knowing it was a different site. Paid for the air fare and noticed it was for different days that I intended to book. Called them and the graciously said I can not cancel... Even though on the itenerary it said I have 4 hours to cancel. Was told no. So I changed the dates and they charged me $375 more even though the flight was $724. DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE SCAMMERS. YOU WILL BE SORRY

BEWARE OF THIS SITE
August 15, 2018

BEWARE if you are directed to this site while booking your flight from another provider. My mom was trying to find a cheaper fare for her trip to Colorado to visit her oldest son. She is 81 years old. She went ahead and booked the flight through LookUpFare and NEVER received a confirmation and she tried to call, email and chat online - they hung up on her, didn't respond to her email and No one is EVER available to chat. Luckily she contacted her credit card company to block any charges. We found a CHEAPER, CONFIRMED FLIGHT on CHEAPOAIR - they sent an immediate confirmation with an itinerary and Flight Confirmation number. BEWARE. BEWARE. BEWARE.

Scam Site
August 10, 2018

This site is a scam. Their supposedly 24/7 customer support line is fake and their "confirmation" email does NOT have a record locator to confirm your flight with the airline. Valid third party booking sites like Expedia always give you a record locator to let you confirm your flight with the airline itself. No record locator means no proof of booking.

As with some other reports I've read of this site, I am not entirely sure how I ended up there instead of United's site. I was trying to book with United directly and the entire site appearance changed drastically at checkout. At that point, I also noticed the URL had changed, although I don't know the exact point in the process at which I ended up at the scam site during the booking process. If you ended up checking out through this site thinking you were booking through the airline itself, call your credit card company immediately.

Im not even sure how, when booking on the home page of an airline site, this company even was able to interrupt my ticket purchase. They told me I was booking Economy, even the receipt they sent showed Economy Class, and then I discovered that they had booked the flight as Basic Economy which is a whole different set of circumstances.
The flight actually was booked at less than what I was told, and at a higher price than what the flight actually showed.

Lesson learned: make sure that LookUpFare does not pop up when you are on a legitimate website. As with many people who deal with this company, I have lost money. Two months and the situation is still not resolved and no hope that it will ever be resolved to my satisfaction. Money has been lost to this company, and I have learned a lesson and hope this lesson can be passed on to others.

Is there hope this could be resolved?

After writing to LookUpFare numerous times, and posting on all recent LookUpFare facebook pages to review this company prior to booking with this company... i did exchange a few emails with this company. The Marcellus did call me. I immediately recognized that this was not the same person who identified himself as "Marcellus" in the disastrous phone call in May, and did tell him that. I am not aware that Marcellus knows that his name is being used by agents who are involved with clients, but be that as it may, we had a conversation which was polite and respectful. I have a vague feeling that he would like to resolve this in the way promised, and also will look into the car rental prepayment. I did tell them that that LookUpFare did send me the wrong information, and told me that I paid more than I was actually charged. He also promised to refund me the bank cost for trying to cash the "money order". This has been going on for 2 months now... still not over

If I could give this company "minus 100 devils" for a review, I would. In May 2018 I went to the Air Canada Website to book 2 flights and a car rental. When if entered my information re: my origin and destination, I seemed to have been directed to the website of LookUpFare.com. How Air Canada allows one to be directed on this site to a foreign (American) website has not been adequately explained to me by Air Canada. I thought, like others that I was still on the Air Canada website when I booked 2 flights and car rental. I knew the price that had been quoted on the Air Canada page, but this was a little more expensive, but thinking I was still on the Air Canada website, I thought that prices had changed, and the fact that one rarely gets the price advertised. So I booked. I have to say that I have booked all my travel on line or 14 years, and have traveled frequently, without one problem. Clue # 1 that something was wrong, was that I received upwards of 6 confirmation emails from a company called LookUpFare.com. (I found out later that they are associated with Cheap Air LLC). I did not think much of this, until a few days later when I realized that I had no confirmation from Air Canada, which is the usual practice. So I called Air Canada, and was informed that I had booked with a "third party". Imagine my surprise, and when I told the agent I had been on their website, how was it that this company allowed a popup on their website. Of course, no satisfactory answer... always blaming the consumer for their stupidity. However, they did send me the true cost in American dollars of what the flight would have cost on the particular day I booked it, because as everyone knows the cost of airline flights vary from one day to the other. With this information in hand I called LookUpFare.com and explained the issue to an agent named "Marcellus". It was an unsatisfactory conversation as this person either could not, or would not understand that I went to a Canadian Airline website, I was directed by the website when I pressed "enter" to LookUpFare, and like others, thought I was still on the Air Canada website. I told him that I had been charged approximately $1400 USD for 2 flights which should have cost approximately $1200 in Canadian dollars. With the exchange rate this cost me $1884 in Canadian dollars. Therefore I was overcharged approximately $600 (Cdn). Finally Marcellus offered me a $300 USD refund. I decided that I probably could not do any better, and accepted this. I asked him to refund this to my credit card. He told me that this was not possible, and did not have a satisfactory explanation regarding how this company could charge my credit card for these flights and car rental but could not credit my card. So imagine my surprise when approximately 10 days later I received a blank MONEY ORDER from Cheap Flight Fares LLC. First of all, has anyone ever seen a money order in the past 40 years. Secondly there was no information on this order... this requires the sender to put in the proper information. However, I did take it to the bank, who charged me $5 to hold this money order and told me that it could not be honored because of the lack of information. At that time it was time for my trip, and imagine my surprise when I arrived at Discount Car Rentals in Calgary to find that they had rented 2 cars for me. Another problem was that Discount Car Rentals did not accept any "third party payments" so I had to pay the total cost of the rental car, and forfeit the money I had already paid to LookUpFare. When I came home I wrote an email to LookUpFare that "they had won" and may they "enjoy their ill gotten gains". At this point I have been fleeced for upwards of $900. Then I started to look at reviews of this company and came to find out that this situation has happened time and again to more consumers... and those are just the people who have posted a review of this company. Obviously the loss of $900 to one customer could be viewed as a mistake, the company could be appropriately remorseful and reimburse the person for overcharges. But, no luck with this company. My only recourse has been to go to their Facebook page, and to post warnings on their postings for people to review this company prior to making any transactions with them, and to direct them to this website and to www.trustpilot.com. There is also another website called "pissed consumer" and I have put my review on there also. The situation that happened to me seems to be common. It is unacceptable. I feel like I was scammed. After I posted on their facebook page, LookUpFare did send me a message to give them my contact information... as if they did not have that already from our email correspondence! Just another delaying tactic. This morning they sent me another message that "they are working on it"... but only after I sent them a message that I have not heard from them yet. I am no longer upset about this. I have lots of time and perseverance and have a podium in the internet, on every travel review site, on their facebook page to post my experience in dispassionate, clear, factual, and true account without calling them names. Some people have advised me that it can be a problem to post negative reviews. Why would that be an issue when we have freedom of speech, and also because I have not called them names. I only have stated what has happened to me, and the terms that others have referred to this company. So we shall see... Do I hold out hope that this situation will be resolved in a satisfactory manner? The answer to that is no. This is a large company with many resources. I am a small consumer... and will never deal with this company again. But if I can stop one other person from getting fleeced, or being overcharged, that will be an accomplishment. Make sure that you never book with this company. You will be disappointed.

Brutal!
June 25, 2018

Thought I was booking through Air Canada, I have no idea how i connected with this company! I had to make a change to the flight and they charged me over $1000. 00 US to change it. I paid for it because it was an emergency and we didn't have a choice, looking back i should have just canceled the flight and booked with air Canada, would have been way cheaper! A 500.00 flight ended up costing me $2000. 00. Disgusted with this company!

Total Fraud
June 11, 2018

I thought I was booking through the airline. When I realized my mistake, I called them within 5 minutes of making the reservation. They would not cancel it. I told them I had booked the wrong flight and they said it would cost another $150 to change the reservation. I pointed out I had bought the travel insurance, which of course, did not apply.- They have you by the gonads; I can't believe I was that unaware of what I was booking, but boy did I learn the hard way. How are companies like this able to exist!

We used their website for tickets for vacation and they did NOT deliver. We book economy seating and when we went to check in, the ticket read that we said that we had basic economy and were to pay for all baggage and seats and carry ons. I called them to change back to the original economy pricing, one gentleman yelled and fussed and hung up on me because "I was holding up the line and he had already talked to my husband earlier that day about the transaction, even though I am the one who paid for the tickets." I finally got a hold of the manager and he out right lied to me saying I would only pay one time for the roundtrip and that if I sent him a receipt of my baggage payment he would reimburse me with voucher. No email was sent to me so I could have it writing and I never received my money back on the transaction. I spent $150 more through their site due to hidden fees and charges. FYI when it says economy - youre really getting basic economy and their are charges and hidden fees that come with that. Worst experience. Seriously considering a lawsuit.

LookupFare Sucks
May 6, 2018

Sucks!
Sucks! Does not have any return policy. The website does not mention anything about the return policy nor the person you book the ticket from talks about the return policy. When you ask for a refund they say you will be charged 150$(Nowhere mentioned or talked about) even if your ticket cost is 100$.

It is not customer friendly. It is better to book from cheapoair.com as they refund you the complete amount

Scam!
March 19, 2018

This is a scam. I tried to book a Sunday flight, confirmation showed up for a Saturday flight. I called to get it fixed. They said it was no problem but the flight was 2 times the price. I complained, then they could get it a little cheaper. I looked up the company saw the reviews saying it was a scam. I told them to cancel the flight I would not pay. They called me asking why I was cancelling. I told them they are a scam company and they hung up on me. They charged me for both flights. My bank has refunded the charges and cancelled my card.

DON'T USE!
March 17, 2018

TERRIBLE! I went to Interjet airline web site and booked my flight. They had 3 different prices and I went with the middle price because you have free luggage and can pick your set. When I went to pay the web site to get that package I had to upgrade to the traveler's concierge plan? I said OK and was 39.00 more. When I go my conformation # and It was from lookupfares. A week before the flight I tired to get the seats with Interjet and keep getting an error I called and they told me to call lookupfares? Lookup told me I didn't have that up grade! That the
Travelers Concierge Fees was an insurance plan if I had to cancel! WHAT? Yes if you cancel you get 100% refund. Well the next day had and emergency and call to cancel. Was told that refund was only good of 24 hours after booking! I would get a credit for my next flight if I use it in 1 year. I ask about a refund and only get 1/2 of what I paid!

Any educated person can see all these names, Aaron Smith and Max Wilson are clearly fake reviews. Who gets the full name and writes in how amazing they are c'mon, and these people never quit, haha.

The price I opened didn't exist, I got "discounts" on a different amount and none of the discount codes I provided worked. It sent me a confirmation email, yet made it seem like I had a more premium flight than I did - wouldn't let me buy baggage, only to find out on my confirmation that I did need to purchase. Also, I received a phone call from Ajax, Ontario, from a random number the next day saying they were lookupfare. (Though lookupfare is. Com and was charging me in USD). And he said they had some forms to send me and needed my ID and BOTH sides of my credit card photos sent to them.

C'mon! Who has EVER asked for photos of your credit card, in an online purchase. When I said, dude, this sounds like a scam, just cancel my reservation he very quickly was like (Ok, we'll cancel), again what company says that and then said "we were only calling as your card showed as fraudulent" and then hung up on me. What company calls YOU if your card shows up fraudulent, and what online purchase goes through if your card is fraudulent, and what bank doesn't lock or flag your card? This is such BS, this company is a complete and utter scam.

SCAM
January 4, 2018

Horrible service, I booked and they sent me a confirmation with something else completely different. I called immediately, obviously. They wanted to charge extra, for something i didn't do, and they would ask something I will answer and they will come up with something different, very frustrating! It was a waste of my time and money. I couldn't cancel and get my money back. I would make sure my friends and family will not ever book through LookupFare
