Do NOT buy anything from Living Spaces. And if you do decide to take the leap, do not waste your money on their warranty because it's a scam. I bought a dining room table and 4 chairs two years ago. The chairs were fabric bottoms and have sunk down. One is sunken down so much it's ripped underneath and they denied the claim, saying it was "normal" wear and tear. Excuse me, but I think chairs should last longer than 2 years and if they are ripped, that is NOT wear and tear. Mind you I have no small children using these chairs. Myself and 2 other young adults who certainly know how to sit in a chair. They are useless. I will NEVER shop at another Living Spaces again. You get what you pay for. Pictures are of the sunken/ripped "normal" wear and tear chair...
I just had a recliner delivered IN A BOX. Not assembled at all. I had no idea. I paid over $1100 for this chair, and it was not assembled. I am furious. I am a senior citizen, and no one at the store told me this would happen. I usually buy Lazy Boy but decided to try Living Spaces. Never again! This sucks big time. I called the store and they said...Oh well!
I ordered a couch and a loveseat from Living Spaces. I waited 6 weeks and finally received my delivery. Once I unwrapped the couch, I noticed a hole in the material. I quickly called Living Spaces and was told I had to take pictures, upload them and wait. Once those were approved, I got a call telling me the they can have someone patch it or give me a discount to keep as is. Both unacceptable for my thousands of dollars spent on these couches. I agreed to have a technician come and repair it, but had to wait two days for them to schedule an appointment. They never called, so I called again and was told I had to wait another two days for a technician to call. Again no call. I have now been on hold for 20 minutes waiting to speak to speak to someone, and just got hung up on. This company is really horrible, and I would not walk away from any purchase, I would RUN!
Very bad service. Missed a wardrobe key. Told them to replace it with new lock.i was even ready to pay but they were not willing to get a new lock. Even the wardrobe handles are not good. Every month have to call them for some reason..
Do not sign up for the zero interest promotion of Living Spaces under Synchrony Bank. They will make you sign up for an automatic payment to avoid interest but they will give you a wrong amount that won't pay off the balance until the promotion expires. And you as a customer who expects that you will just stop receiving a bill after 18 months will later find out that you got billed more than $ 1,111 for the deferred interest charge because you have a few dollars remaining on your balance when the promotion expired. I escalated my issue with the customer service chat but she said she can no longer waive the interest charge. Synchrony Bank gave me a wrong automatic payment amount when I signed up for automatic payment for 18 months zero interest so they can charge their customers with more than a thousand dollars deferred interest charge. Fraud fraud fraud! Also Living Spaces delivered a defective lamp shade that I paid more than $ 160 and I went to the store to return it. I was told that they cannot replace it anymore because I went to the store a day after the few days grace period to return it. That's why there's very few customers in every Living Spaces store, very poor customer service and they offer zero interest payment that tricks the customers to be paying a lot in the end for deferred interest. Just like my friend who had a bad experience shopping at Living Spaces, I will not buy anything in this store again.
The worst! It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, however if there was less than one star, I would give them that.
I purchased a recliner in early November. It took 2 weeks to deliver.
After 10 days the switch blew while the chair was (and still is) in the open position.
Since I had purchased an extended warranty, I thought there would be no problem. BTW, I paid nearly as much for the warranty etc as I did the chair.
I filed a claim immediately. The next available appointment was 3 weeks later.
The tech came and says the switch is defective will take about 2 weeks to arrive.
AFTER it arrives, I need to call them to set up another appointment which will be another 2 weeks!
By this time I will have had the chair for almost 4 months with only 10 days of use.
I went to the store and requested a refund. I couldn't get one because of their 7 day return policy. I had it for 10 days before it quit.
Spent at least 4 hours on phone and in store trying to get a working chair.
Today I get an email asking for at least 6 pictures of the piece and told that it could take up to 8 weeks for a new part. THEN another 2 weeks for a tech. This will then be roughly 6 months total.
By the way, LIVING SPACES DOES IT'S OWN WARRANTY! They have the latitude to make their own exceptions.
I will never go back.
I wish I had read the reviews before shopping there. I see a lot of complaints with the same/similar problem and a lot of canned apologies from Living Spaces, but apparently they are not sorry enough to change their practices.
Over one year later and I still don't have the couch I ordered. The first one arrived with hardware that didn't connect the sectional. They attempted to deliver a connecting chaise 2 times and it didn't fit. On the day of another delivery attempt it was cancelled that morning because it didn't pass quality control. 6 months after the original couch was delivered they agreed to replace the whole couch using the warranty which meant I was responsible for getting rid of the defective couch. I organized a charity to pick it up and on the day the new couch was to be delivered, there was a huge rip on the bottom. 4 delivery attempts later, I can't get anyone on the phone to give me a refund or the significant discount I deserve. I can't take anymore time off work for the delivery of a couch that will likely be defective again. Nobody will call me back. DO NOT order from Living Spaces.
Bookcases arrive three weeks after ordering literally falling apart, SPRAY painted poorly & nowhere near worth 500$ each. L joints upside down, staples, not nails. Not even plywood, maybe melamine. Certainly not real wood as website states. Absolute crap construction.
So I spend an hour getting a pickup scheduled for return. Days later they arrive. Rudely demand broken bookcase go back in its "box" (thin flaps of cardboard- probably why it arrived in pieces).
Ridiculous- but okay, sure I'll do it. Start to box it up and not 30 seconds later look up to see truck driving away, they actually cancelled pickup. I was NEVER told during the hour I spent with living spaces customer service chat that it had to be repacked and I immediately started doing it when they requested it.
Now I get to contact living spaces 3rd party shipping again to get another pickup, and also get another return label from living spaces. Hours wasted. SAVE YOURSELF the in headache and GO TO IKEA. This company is run by crooks. Despicable and unprofessional beyond anything I've ever seen.
They were quick, and clean in their delivery. They told us when they were 20 minutes away so we could be prepared. We rate the delivery team an 10. We absolutely love our new chair and our very satisfied with our purchase!
After I had to pay another $100 for the bed technician to come out and inspect the mattress. Living Spaces customer service person sent me an email that my mattress is going to be replaced. This customer service person was great and very nice not like the first customer service person that told me I have to live with this bad mattress. I hope the new mattress works out, kind of afraid after my first mattress. I just want to thank the new customer service lady who help me get this resolved. Thank you
I bought a $4,000 bed thinking it would be better then a cheap bed and bought from what I thought was a relabel company Living Spaces. The bed has a bump in the middle of the bed that push me and my wife to the edge of the bed and now the edge of the bed is sinking. Living Spaces sends out a technician to examine the bed and Living Spaces is saying the technician said noting is wrong with the bed and noting they can do for me. Really, so I have to live with a bump in the middle of the bed and the edge of the bed sinking and I just had this bed for 4 months. They say I have a 10 year warranty and that it will not cover what is going on with my bed. My advice go find a better place to buy a bed because Living Spaces will not help replace a bad mattress.
The warranty program is just name sake … they will fool you and not do anything. Bad customer care.
I bought a couch from here and it broke after six months! I also bought a bed for my kids a paid for them to assemble it and I didn't check their work, it's broken now, and come to find out they didn't screw in half the bed (the reason why it's broken) I have tried to call and get something done about it and can't get anyone to answer or call back or respond to emails.
I really wanted to like this store. We bought lots of furniture from here for our new house. The bunk beds for the kids came missing parts, and couldn't be assembled on the day promised. Julie from customer service was so helpful and managed to get the parts shipped to us a little over a week later, but the first night my kids slept in the bed, my daughter woke up bloody and had a massive splitter going through her toe all the way into the nail bed. We immediately called customer service hoping to exchange this defective dangerous bed for another one in the store, and we were told it had been 8 days since delivery, so we could no longer return for store credit. Even though it had only had the parts for full assembly for less than one day! We were told our only option was to file a warranty claim on the bed, and they would get back to me in a week to discuss if this was covered under warranty and whether they could even replace it. This has been the worst experience, the company obviously doesn't care about their customers, and I highly don't recommend them.
We paid 1000 dollars for furniture over 6 months ago and it has still not been delivered. I have called and emailed countless times and no one will help me; they just keep saying "we will get back to you in 24-48 hours, and then no one gets back to me. This is theft and a scam and unacceptable. I can't even get ahold of anyone to get a refund.
I was stunned to try to buy something only to be told they would not sell it. They did not have any inventory. No inventory was coming in for months, however they would not sell the item because they might need it. Crazy!
So we ordered a bed frame, which we had to wait for 2-3 months to be delivered since we live in new york. The bedframe came defective and we asked for the frame to be replaced, they said it would take up to two other months, we really wanted a good one so we agreed to wait for another two months, two months go by, no frame in sight, we called them up again and they said the previous employee who had helped us process the exchange didn't confirm the delivery like how is that even possible! Their employees are very rude and wouldn't cooperate, hung up on us a few times, did not allow us to speak to a higher up and told us we now have to wait for another month! What a treatment for their customers! So disappointed' this company truly sucks!
Please do not order anything from here! It's big and impressive but they just lie about lead times and products they can't meet. Horrible follow up and customer service. My dream couch was 4-6 weeks when purchased - cut to 14 WEEKS later and still NOT HERE. It's been pushed and pushed and pushed but with no notification. I have to inquire as to why they didn't deliver it week after week and they just tell me more lies and dates they don't meet.
Worst furniture buying experience ever.
If I could give this place a 0 I would. I ordered an item in July - their website said it couldn't come for 4 weeks. Okay that's fine, I understand supply chain issues right now. Well at the end of August, after the date the item was scheduled to come I reached out to Living Spaces to ask what was going on. It was only after I reached out and got sent through different levels of management that they THEN shipped my item - mid September. The item arrived at their shipping partner mid-September... then sat, and sat, and sat. I complained again and THEN the item was shipped out to me... now we are on week 3 of me getting rescheduled for my delivery... 3 times in a row of a truck broken down, them running late and not getting to met, etc. etc. Of course, they don't tell you they aren't coming... they just don't show up and then sometime later at night you get a message saying how they're sorry but they're available to reschedule 5ish days from now. I still don't have my item on 10/10/22 - now instead of 4 weeks it's been 3 MONTHS with no end in site. Trust me, avoid this company like the plague.
I purchased four thousand dollars worth of living room furniture: sofa, chair sleeper and ottoman. "Custom made." Within 2 weeks or so I reported that the fabric is already sagging, the stitching around the cording is puckered and the seats feel gravely. Twice, techs were sent out. They both agreed with me about the poor quality. In each case I was told that LS would call me. They never did. I finally called, talked to a manager who told me "this is just customer preference" and does not come under your warranty. I then sent a letter to the CEO of LS, registered mail, so I know it was received. I have not received any acknowledgement of that letter or my concerns. Reading other reviews (especially about cheap fabric that pills) it is rather obvious that this company doesn't care about their reputation. It's beyond disappointing. The interaction I did have was rude and dismissive. I advise that no one buy, especially, "custom made". The fabrics are cheap and the workmanship is poor and this company does not care. It's a lot of money to pay for junk.
Answer: They scammed me. It appears that they sometimes come through but for me they took my money and ran.
Answer: There are many furniture companies with similar and likely better products.
Answer: Helpful. People in store very helpful. They did not seem to know about the complaints.
