The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by recurring complaints regarding customer service and product quality. While some customers express satisfaction with the furniture's design, numerous reviews highlight severe issues with delivery delays, unresponsive customer support, and inadequate warranty services. Many customers report dissatisfaction with the durability of products, citing premature wear and substandard materials. Additionally, the challenges faced during the return process and the perceived dishonesty regarding warranty claims further exacerbate negative sentiments. Overall, the feedback suggests a pressing need for improved customer engagement and product reliability to enhance customer satisfaction.

I don't appreciate being lied too. Purchased a beautiful expensive carpet and asked a clear direct question "What's the ETA for delivery?" Told by the sales rep would receive the rug by May 16th rug was purchased on 5/9. The order hasn't even been fulfilled by what I'm being told with a 3rd party company. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to speak to anyone at their Phoenix location. There's no direct line of communication and when I called the 800 number it's a overseas rep. Not cool and I will never purchase again from this company.
We love this place! We spend WAY more here than we should but it's so much fun to go in and let the kids play while we get snacks and a drink and walk around. This time we were specifically coming in to purchase a Purple Mattress. The employees were all great and the employee helping us with the mattress decision was incredible! He was very accommodating to our 2 year old and he shared with us about his own kids. We very much enjoyed the experience! Never change!
We came to find a new kitchen table for our new home we found one right away everything went smoothly. Service was great.
We purchased a new mattress and bed frame. We were helped by 2 different sales guys and they were both great and helpful. They would offer us items that we accepted, and some we declined. When we declined, we were not pressured or sold into the item as a sales rebuttal. Love the no commission environment, makes it way nicer.
I did end up purchasing couches from here but made sure that it was a couch I was able to view in the store so returning wouldn't be an issue.
Their return policy is not the greatest. I would not suggest purchasing something that you haven't had a chance to view in a store.
We were getting outdoor living furniture this evening and the staff (Heather) that helped was very patient with all of our adjustments to our order to get just right. However, she had to go on her lunch break and handed us off to another sales person. We completed our payment and she handed us the order summary/receipt. It wasn't until I got home and looked at it for information on the name of the items we bought that I realized that she handed us the wrong receipt for someone else's order. The devil is in the details.
This process had been terrible since day one. Honestly regret shopping here! Won't ever spend another dollar here!
I have had three delivery dates set for a bedroom set! The deliveries were all canceled the night before. The customer service goes to a call center in Mexico and has no more information as to why it has been canceled. They continue to set new delivery dates for the following week.
This has been more than frustrating as I am scheduled to move and cannot until this is delivered. I've just had a hip replacement cannot sleep on just a mattress. This order was promised within 48hrs. Order was placed 1/31st this is 2/12.
I will never buy here again. No one is accountable. I still do know the reason. Once you leave the store you cannot reach anyone except a call center that could not care less.
The staff greeted me nicely and asked me what he'll I might need as I entered the Lone Tree store on the evening of the 25th January. I believe it was a "Stacy" who helped me and explained the "On Display" I saw online didn't really mean my (clearance item) Adonis counter height stools were available for pick up there, so she helped me order the precise SKU I needed for the 25 inch seat height product. That was all wonderful amd a nice in store experience, ao high marks to the team.
The major issue I have is that while that stools are rather beautiful and seem to have been overall quite rather well engineered, they have a glaring and conspicuous flaw. As built, both chairs have an identical QA failure, in that, facing the stool, both right front legs are exactly the same amount too short. I just moved and only have a construction style measure tape, rather than a blunt end rule I'd need to pinpoint the exact measurement, but both appear identical and the gap to the floor I'm the too short leg is 1/8" to 3/16," hard to get more precise as I only have the tape, but that's the range, so obviously the chair stools sink and click noticably to the floor when weighted. I will likely shim at bottom appropriately but that's not the point. I shouldn't have too at the price point, but then we are seeing nationwide diverging price (up) and product quality (down) due to let's call them "systemic issues of the American People's own (net) making," in that significant numbers of same support a Felon and Traitor to the US Constitution in the Executive who appears Hell Bent on harming us all. Be nice if Living Spaces could look into an engineered solution with the leg but it might not be possible. When the short leg floats above the floor the chair back is perfect bubble level to the floor. The legs appeared all the same length to close tolerance and I put the "C" leg side on the correct side as shown in the manual for both chairs. I presume that somehow the seat cushion frame is not square in all three dimensions.
Would appreciate seeing some remedy on offer from Living Spaces on this issue.
Thanks!
Place an order, pay in full. Confirm delivery. And nothing. No Follow up of any kind is terrible. No emails, bo calls, nothing, just delays. I will be canceling my order and buying somewhere that can not only sell but also deliver.
We went to Living Spaces to buy a mattress because our current one was too hard. We went straight to the soft mattresses, told the saleswoman we wanted the softest mattress possible, and spent time laying on the mattress and discussing it with her. We ended up purchasing a soft Purple mattress for roughly $3,500.
However, the saleswoman entered the order incorrectly into her computer and ordered a firm mattress instead. My wife signed the tablet presented to her, which had a large signing screen, but there was nothing obvious indicating it was a firm mattress (the receipt lists it in fine print only).
When the mattress was delivered, the old one was taken away and the new one was dropped off. The mattress did not say "firm" anywhere, and we were told not to lie on it for 24 hours. As soon as we lay on it, it was immediately clear that it was far too hard.
We returned to the store, and the saleswoman admitted it was her mistake. Still, Living Spaces refused to refund or exchange the mattress. Their 30-day trial allows exchanges after 30 days for $200, but they refused to waive the waiting period or fee for their own admitted error. Essentially, they blamed us because we "signed off" on it.
We asked for one product and they delivered another. Despite admitting their mistake, they refuse to make it right. Don't give these people your money.
My wife and I purchased a couch from Living Spaces in Frisco, Texas on 11/21/2025, and unfortunately our experience has been overwhelmingly negative.
During the purchase, the sales associate strongly encouraged us to buy the 5-year "Care Free" warranty, assuring us multiple times that it covered nearly all damages—including pet-related damage such as scratches and bites. Because pet wear was our primary concern, I asked repeatedly and was explicitly told that the warranty would cover it. Based on that assurance, we agreed to spend over $200 on the additional coverage.
However, after receiving the actual warranty details via email, I discovered that damage caused by pet claws is not covered—directly contradicting what we were told in the store. I feel misled and tricked into paying for coverage that excludes the very issue I asked about.
On top of that, we paid for the full delivery package ($140), yet the couch was not assembled correctly. One of the sections wasn't connected properly, and my wife actually fell when getting off the couch because the section of the couch shifted forward and dislodged from the rest of the unit. For such an expensive purchase, basic safety and proper assembly should not be a problem.
Overall, we are extremely disappointed and will not be returning to Living Spaces. I'm sharing this review as a warning for others who expect honesty, transparency, and competent service when making major furniture purchases. At this point, I would strongly recommend looking at competitors such as Nebraska Furniture Mart or Home Zone instead.
We purchased a couch from Living Spaces with their extended warranty, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. The couch didn't even last 2 years before major issues began. The recliner stopped working multiple times, and despite numerous service calls, the problems were never properly resolved. When the motor failed, they replaced it with a used part instead of a new one. Now the frame itself is defective, and rather than replacing the couch as they should, they only want to cover one piece — which they no longer even sell. Their "solution" is to give us a $580 store credit for just that piece, leaving us with an unusable couch and no real resolution. We paid hundreds of dollars for their warranty, and it has been worthless. They pick and choose when they want to cover something, and their practices feel deceptive. The warranty company is based in Florida, and in my experience, they do everything possible to avoid paying legitimate claims. I do not recommend buying furniture from Living Spaces or wasting money on their extended warranty. If you value your investment, look elsewhere for both your furniture and warranty coverage.
Tried to scam us with Synchrony Bank for interest on no interest contract paid off before end date. Wrote up bogus purchase outside of original purchase. Reported to Attorney General, CPB. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH LIVING SPACES OR SYNCHRONY BANK.
HORRIBLE Customer Service. Do not buy from these folks. I paid $600 for a rug that was delivered defective. The backing is sewn incorrectly so there is a huge bubble when you walk on it. We remodeled our home so we couldn't roll the rug out until 15 days after it was received (after our new tile floor was installed). As soon as we unrolled it, I called to inform them of the issue and they said since it was 7 days past delivery there is NO returns and there was nothing they would do about it. I purchased the extended warranty but they say that's only for spills and damage, not defective workmanship. BUYER BEWARE.
I'm on my third defective mattress in less than 10 months & I can't get them to replace it or return my money. It has a huge ridge running down the middle & deep depression on each side of it. I can't sleep in it.
To take the depth measurements, a compact disk was placed in the bottom of the depression eliminating at least one inch of the depth. This is plain crookedness, cheating. Why else would you put such an item in the bottom of the depressions.
I'm extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing a $4,000+ couch from Living Spaces.
Since delivery in mid-September, the couch has emitted a terribly strong harsh chemical odor that has not gone away, even after months months of airing it out. It made my entirely apartment smell and my Dyson air purifier consistently detects high VOC levels when placed anywhere near the couch.
I tried opening all of my windows day and night (and doors during the day) and it still persisted. After a few days, it started giving us headaches and making us nauseous.
I took two out of three pieces of the sectional and put them in my garage for 3+ months to at least have the majority of the sofa outside of the apartment. Still just having only one piece of the couch inside made my apartment reek of foul chemicals.
I called Living Spaces a week after purchasing it and they said to just give it time. Well, 3.5 months later and it is still stinking up my whole apartment. And again, the majority of the sectional is in the garage still. And guess what? Now the whole garage smells terrible. Again, 3.5 months later!
My Dyson air purifier still gives off "red" readings of very high VOCs. I tried to take this up with Living Spaces and they said they refuse to take the couch back and refused to offer any kind of refund, exchange, or resolution – leaving us stuck with an unusable and unhealthy product.
All of this after I called customer service and they told me to just wait it out. I'm done waiting it out!
I'm now going to have to get rid of a brand new $4,000+ couch and start over and spend thousands to replace it. What an absolute ripoff and terrible customer service to have verifiable high levels of VOCs that are known to be neurotoxic and cause cancer. I cannot believe this is how they think they should do business.
Save yourself the hassle, money, and frustration — avoid Living Spaces entirely!
This is by far in the 40 years that I've been purchasing furniture. The worst #Warranty service I've ever encountered. I purchased an extended warranty for zero gravity loveseat, the motor on the loveseat failed after 18 months. I submitted a claim Aug 2024 it took over a month to get a technician to come to my home and repair/evaluate the defect. The technician removed the defective motor and said the warranty company would be in contact with me. It took three months for me to get an appointment to have a technician come out and repair the defective part, and the appointment was made only after I reached out to the warranty service. The warranty service said the first available appointment for a technician to come to my residence (no Tech contact info was given) to repair my loveseat was Sunday, December 15 2024, which was over two weeks after the repair part was received. After over three months of being unable to utilize my loveseat, which, I payed a substantial amount of money to Living Spaces for to include the #Warranty the technician did not show up for the appointment to repair the loveseat! Nor did he reach out to contact me to reschedule, and the #Warranty service department was unreachable on the Sunday of the appointment. Though I like the furniture I will never purchase another #Warranty item from Living Spaces based on my experience with the Warranty Service.
We purchased a chair in September with the understanding that we would be able to purchase the matching ottoman. We were told that the ottoman was expected to be in stock two weeks after the purchase of the chair. We used their cart system and paid for the ottoman as soon as it became available. We have twice been notified that the ottoman was to be delivered on a certain date, and that we need to be home from 8 to 5 to receive the delivery. On both occasions, we received a call after 5 pm on each respective day informing us that they didn't have our ottoman after all. We put in a call to customer service after the last non-delivery. Today, we received a callback from the store manager ( there is no direct number available for the store—you must wait for them to call you) telling us that the ottoman was now back ordered (no date given for delivery.) We explained that we purchased the chair with the understanding that we would be able to purchase the ottoman. We requested to return the chair. The only option we were given was a refund for ottoman—they refused to accept the chair. This situation remains unresolved at this time. If resolution occurs, I will update my review. Meanwhile, buyer beware.
I ordered a couch. Paid. Was given a delivery date nearly a month out; which I accepted. Then, right before the delivery date I was given a nearly "One month delivery window." No explanation. No apology. Just a big I don't care! If this is not bad enough, read their warranty reviews. Don't do business here.
Answer: They scammed me. It appears that they sometimes come through but for me they took my money and ran.
Answer: There are many furniture companies with similar and likely better products.
Answer: Helpful. People in store very helpful. They did not seem to know about the complaints.
