Good layout and overall pretty quick. Would give 5 stars but the prices from auto renewal could only be described as avarice and greed. Relatively easy to cancel if you call, just check your email for confirmation to be sure.

This site is a scam! I signed up for the 14 day "free" trial. After the 14 day trial was over, I cancelled the account. I was never contacted with information that I would still be charged a $40.00 fee. I checked my bank account and LiveCareer had extracted $40 from my account WITHOUT telling me. When I called customer service, the guy told me that I cancelled "on the 15th day", "one day late," so they were legally able to charge me the $40.00. Horrible customer service! A total rip off!

The reviews before me say it all. Live chat was most likely some robot, all they would do is cancel my subscription. No refund. I don't see how they can sleep at night offering a "FREE" version (mhmm sure) of a fancy Microsoft Word.
Also, "Anna B." sure is good at copying and pasting sentences read off of a page. Enjoy the pat on the head from your supervisor, and SUCK A BIG FAT ONE.

Total scam. I was charged the one time fee of $1 something and then later took $35.80 out of my account. When I told them I wanted to cancel they refused to give this money back. Will never ever use this service again and warn everybody to not use them either. They will rip you off.

I only gave one star because 0 was not an option. Complete scam do not waste your time or money! I have been charged fees of $1.07 multiple times and charged $35.80 a couple times and the website promised a one time charge of $1.95 or whatever it was and well that's definitely not the case. And no their website does not make it clear that you will get charged or that you have to unsubscribe to avoid monthly charges.It was supposed to be a one time fee to email myself the resume and it did not come out exactly as it was previewed! SCAM!

We automatically send a payment confirmation to the email address you’ve used upon purchase, stating the amount that you’ve paid for and the auto-renewal date. We even provided several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email, and self- cancellation in your Account Settings if service is no longer needed.
LiveCareer is an international company. We processes payments through LiveCareer UK, Ltd. with its offices in London, England. Some banks charge an international transaction fee, even when the charge is in US dollars. The fees for $1.07 are charged by your bank and not LiveCareer.

I'm like everyone else wondering why there's "not a clear statement stating that you will be enrolled and its only a free "trial"... Not only did they charge me once but charged me twice in the same month, same day of the month. A friend referred me to the site. I called her after all was said and done and she didn't realize that she's been charged each month until I called. I am furious... shame on me for thinking since I don't have a job, I could actually get help with a resume to get a job for $1.98. Shame on LIVECAREERS for being DECEIVING and UNTRUSTWORTHY to the public. Shame on our government for letting companies get away with this! Don't use it Don't try it is my suggestion.

We apologize for the misunderstanding, but what is free on our site is the ability to try out our product to create resumes and cover letters, and to explore our templates, designs and text tuner samples. If you want to print a resume to bring to an interview, email your resume/cover letter, or download a professional looking resume then you do need a subscription. However we do offer the ability to download a FREE Plain Text format.
We take great care in letting our customers know what they are subscribing to. We are very clear that when you subscribe there is an auto-renewing feature for which you can cancel anytime. If the subscription has not been cancelled, a monthly rate will be billed. Aside from these details, we also sent a payment confirmation to the e-mail address you’ve use when you signed up, stating the amount of what you have subscribed for and the date of the auto-renewal.

Answer: This is what the site advertised: For 14 day access, $14.95, and for a year $39.80. However, signing up for ANY service aloows the site to store your payment information for further billing, and getting in touch with them, much less obtaining help is nigh impossible. After two weeks they will pull $39.80 MONTHLY from your payment method (please see my review and others on Google and yelp for further verification of this).

Answer: I had to cancel my Debit Card account with Bank of America, because the Bank refused to block LiveCareer from my account. I wonder if they are in cahoots or what? I believe a class action suit may be required so we can get our funds back.
Answer: Call your bank and change your card number Call them and let them know you have contacted your bank and will contact the better business bureau of you don't get a full refund. Then contact the better bBB and file a formal complaint. You will have a refund within a week. That's how I got my money back
