So I thought I signed up for a free month. Turns out after that they were charging me monthly at a rate of $9.95 per week! Their unlimited monthly subscription is only $3 a month! Plus I never received a receipt for these payments so I had no idea. I must have spent hundreds of dollars with LiveCareer until I noticed. I'll be warning everyone to stay away from them.

As a job seeker I typically get stuck in the application process when the employer is asking for a cover letter. The build your cover letter feature was an excellent tool to assist in creating a professional and job specific letter. Just a note, there is a fee but it was well worth the 1.95 it cost me to get this expert help.

Please, whatever you do, do not use this website to create a resume. You think they are charing you $2 to create a resume, then they start automatically billing your credit card every month. You get no notification that they are doing this, whatsoever, until you start noticing unusual billing on your credit card. As well, they change their billing name so it shows up as a different name on your credit card statement every month. My teenager used this site to make a resume, then my credit card was charged $50 a month for the next 7 months before I caught up with them. They WOULD NOT REIMBURSE ME A DIME, even though they took payment from a minor. This is a huge scam! They provide absolutely zero service for the debits they take out of your account.

While explaining my situation with Louis Solanto, he listened to me and took the information that I gave him to fix my account. I had called last month to cancel my account but it was never done. Louis was able to find out what had happened and why it wasn't cancelled. I am over joyed that he was able to help me.

This LiveCareer site is a fraud. I signed up on Jan 18 for an one time resume for 1 dollar.
Then they quietly charged me 39.80 on February 3, March 17, March 30, May 12 and May 24. Even if the renewal starts 14 days later, they overcharged me. They never send email letting you know the account is about to renew like normal companies do. They don't even send you an receipt letting you know every month after you are charged.
That's 200 dollars lost.
When I contacted them they are only willing to reverse the extra error charge and one refund. As a poor college student, I feel very angry and would file complaints on every place I know of.

The attendant was very efficient and kind. I was able to cancel my account quick. The problem is as I explained to her I did not want to become a member, I only signed for the free 14 days trial. The charge was being made in a card that is a brazilian card so I did not realize it. I did the trial in september 26, so the first 39,80 charge was probably on oct 11. Overall good. Sometimes the response took to long as I am at work and trying to multi-task and would get side tracked. My expectation as a consumer for Live Chat services like this is I can see a response being created within 10 - 15 seconds of my response.
Also, I probably would have kept the service if it were about $9.95/month but $40 was too high in my estimation for my personal perceived value of it.

However you can download a plain text version of your resume for free. To be able to use all premium futures of the service we offer customer a 14 days access for $1.95 and we indicate up front that it will auto renew after the 14 days and that it can be cancel at any time. The auto renewal is listed with the features of the 14 day subscription on the sales page, as well as on the payment and confirmation pages. We also send a payment confirmation email stating the date and amount of the auto- renewal. We do offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation in your Account Settings. We are very committed to providing great customer service. Answer: This is what the site advertised: For 14 day access, $14.95, and for a year $39.80. However, signing up for ANY service aloows the site to store your payment information for further billing, and getting in touch with them, much less obtaining help is nigh impossible. After two weeks they will pull $39.80 MONTHLY from your payment method (please see my review and others on Google and yelp for further verification of this).

Answer: I had to cancel my Debit Card account with Bank of America, because the Bank refused to block LiveCareer from my account. I wonder if they are in cahoots or what? I believe a class action suit may be required so we can get our funds back.
Answer: Call your bank and change your card number Call them and let them know you have contacted your bank and will contact the better business bureau of you don't get a full refund. Then contact the better bBB and file a formal complaint. You will have a refund within a week. That's how I got my money back
