Terrible products and customer service

Never purchase a product from LG. Our first refrigerator quit working after one month and LG refused to repair or replace it. We had to go through Home Depot to get a replacement. Our second refrigerator in 4 years quit working two weeks ago. There are no service technicians in our area so that is not an option. LG will not issue a refund as requested. We have just been getting the run around for weeks. I urge you to stay away from LG as both their products and their customer service is terrible.

Customer Service was Excellent and Fast

This review is in regards to LG Customer Service and not about any specific LG product.

In complete contrast to most of the reviews left regarding LG customer service I found them to be extremely helpful. I don't know why so many people have had bad experiences dealing with LG customer service, they dealt with my issue promptly and agreeably.

My LG TV developed some discoloration on the screen and the wheel/button on the remote broke which is a very common problem.
I submitted my inquiry on a Friday afternoon and did not expect to receive a response until the following week but I received a response from LG in only a few hours. Further communications over the weekend were also responded to very quickly.
LG have arranged for a repair of the TV, at their expense, and are also sending me a replacement remote also at their expense.
I found LG customer service to be of a very high standard in dealing with my issue.
Excellent customer service such as I have received from LG inspires much confidence in the LG brand.

So strange that so many people have had such a bad experience with LG CS, and so recently, when my experience was the total opposite.

I have been trying to work with LG support for about 2 months and 3 techs. One tech came out to replace the back of the TV, but was sent the wrong part from LG support. When were were putting the TV back up, he grabbed too hard and now there is dark marks on the left of the TV where he was holding and he knows he did it. He just said that after 48 hours it goes away (Yea right). So LG support was going to dispatch another tech and he came to look. Two days later he said he couldn't take the repair ticket because the part wouldn't fit in his car. LG Support tried to dispatch another tech, but it went to the first tech. I talked to him after 4 days of no contact and he told me he couldn't do the job because LG Support is still holding his money for the first part and he couldn't afford to get the needed parts. (what the heck...) So, now I have been TRYING to work with LG Support to get something done. Either give me a replacement TV or give me back my money. I had a LG Presidential Liaison call me and told me she was going to handle all this, but obviously I never heard back from her. I have called LG Support today 4 times and was transferred to two different departments. The first was teh RA Department where the girl asked for me phone number and the issue. Then she puts me on hold, and ten minutes later, i got disconnected. Now on hold AGAIN for over 40 min just listening to that dumb music.
I am shocked that a BIG company like this has poor customer service. I rank them right there with VROOM and their service. NEVER will I buy LG again,
This is ridiculous

Dear sir,
I had complained about the noise problem of our AC and demanded one well traind engineer to check the problem with proper tools. But in stead of engineer your one technician calling me for service our product who has no knowledge how to behave with customers. Then how we can allow to come and check our product to such a person. That is why please send one well traind engineer to us and inform us his phone number and time of visit. It's the time to do our first free servicing also so that provide us proper LG expert person. Contact number is *******537

Worst Service Given LG Executive

I have purchase ac in the month of March there is no cooling from the ac i have been calling the advisor since many times no revert from him first of all the LG who had come in the month if March he made me wait full day to fit the ac he came in the night at 9.30 pm at my place to fit the ac and then he was fitting the ac till 2 am the ac cooing was not working raise the complain 3 days different advisor visited and the same is not solve I have yesterday for the complain Mr Sachin Dalvi Supervisor from Lg since yesterday he told me advisor from LG will come today Why cooling is not coming i am calling him since morning he is now Advisor will come tomorrow. Seriously not at all happy with LG Service given to the customer first half will come when you after 3 pm now the advisor will come second half they are just fooling the customer. Worst service given by LG dont buy any product of LG.

29 March 2022: Dishwasher purchased/delivered
29 March 2022: Dishwasher registered on LG.com
29 March: Dishwasher leaking from frame defect
29 March 2022: Called LG for repair
6 April 2022: LG repairman arrived, determined unit was defective and could NOT be repaired
6 April 2022: Called LG for next step…

And so on and so on, called every day, referred to Presidential Team…
Called, texted, emailed, every day, no action,
They asked me to upload my Proof of Purchase 8 times, AFTER I had already registered the device with the proof of purchase

Now it is 3 May 2022, and I have to call every day and they continue to do NOTHING.

I am not just a complaining customer, in fact I LOVED this dishwasher, I understand that things happen at a factory and these are complicated pieces of equipment. What I am so irritated at is the fact that more than a month has gone by and LG cant figure out how to replace this device and it continues to leak on my floor….

Wife purchased a new LG refrigerator/freezer 3/8/22. Refrigerator/freezer stopped working 4/16/22. Their rep on chat suggested trouble-shooting, until I provided Mod./Ser. Number. Then it became an issue for a service tech. Lowe's was less than helpful: Their return policy is pretty simplistic - unless you bought a refrigerator - then you only have 48 hours. The last refrigerator I bought was in 2004. It finally gave up the ghost. Hence buying a new one.

It took until 4/22/22 to find out: 1. There are no service techs within 500 miles of my address, 2. Problem with fact that I "live in the middle of nowhere," - I live 28 miles away from my state's capitol. How ridiculous is that? 3. Multiple text messages stating, "We are unable to schedule service at this time and would like to review for alternate resolution."

No where in the original warranty do it say, "Warranty void if you live in the middle of nowhere, the sticks, the hollars, or Butt $#*! Egypt!

Never mind the fact that 10 minutes after receiving the text, I received a call from a repair shop 45 miles from me who stated he just received a Letter of Authorization from LG and can be out in about 90 minutes!

Customer Service SUCKS. Product SUCKS. LG SUCKS.

I'm ordering a new fridge. Being delivered in 33 days. Apparently you can't just walk into a store and buy one anymore. Once that arrives, I'm donating the LG to my worst enemy for free.

Oh, forgot: Their chat rep gave me a number for scheduling that ensured "my place in line." Then Scheduling gave another number that ensured when I would be called back. 3-5 business days. That is what I was told. Not counting Easter Sunday, it will have been 15 business days before the tech returns with the needed parts. Maybe. Kind a sorta.

I own a service company. 25 years. If I did business like LG, people would have have my head on a pike.

But What do expect from a company in Korea that sends parts to Pakistan to build appliances, then ships those appliances to the USA. And hires in employees in India for US customer service. AND I SPEAK TELEGU AND CAN'T UNDERSTAND THESE $#*!ERS!

Spent 3k on a TV. Been 2 and 1/2 weeks and still no TV. Have called multiple times this week and have been told they would contact me back asap to give me information on why I haven't received it yet. Just called again and was told to call back tomorrow because the shipping company is closed. I am so close to canceling my order and never going with lg again. Customer service is non-existent at this place

Having issues with my LG refrigerator and been passed all over customer service. It's been two weeks we can't get an appointment because no one in the area will work within because they do not pay their techs for the warranty work my fridge still has a four year warranty on it and there's nothing I can do. I even made it farther up the customer service line and they don't care about customer satisfaction at all.

My over 4000 refrigerator that was brand new and 7 months old, ice maker went out. Called customer service went through all the trouble shooting and was told they had to send someone out. 20 days later still no repair and no way to reach their vendor. Manager Clarence calls me every wee to say I'm in good hands and they are working on it. Worst hands possible.

We ordered a new LG fridge when we moved into a new home. We registered for warranty purposes. Our fridge quit working on 2/26/2022 and now it is 04/05/22 and still no fridge. We are living out of a mini fridge. I have called every week and now every three days. No one knows what the other department is doing. I now qualify for a "market value" refund since there are no repairs available in our area. I think they just wanted us to give up and buy another fridge. I'll be damned if I give in! We'll see in 3-5 days.

Purchased a LG tv that was nothing but trouble from day one. Was under warranty and a known faulty model. Had to deal with LG customer support and absolute worst service I HAVE EVER RECIEVED! Spent over 5 hrs on the phone and countless calls. Got told never received the repairers report or receipt ( they did as they actually confirmed this on on of there recorded calls when I quoted the number they had given the repairer when he lodged it) after me phoning countless times and sending the receipt and report 5 times! Always told the case manager unavailable and would call back but never did. 4 weeks of stress and finally the store of purchase had to get the manager to deal with them! Absolutely disgusted! Would never purchase anything LG again in my life! One star rating is to high for this excuse of a company.

Brand new stove. The top oven will not heat. There was no serial number on the oven when it arrived. A tech came out three times to try and repair. He could not fix it and recommended it be replaced. The tech also verified to LG that it was new and there was no serial number on the unit. We did have a serial number on the paperwork. We spent 5 months trying to resolve this issue with LG. The presidential liaison group told us we had reached the top and that they would not replace the oven. So we now have a brand new oven that does not work and WE have to pay for replacement. LG does not honor their products. We have been treated very bad and will never buy or recommend LG again.

HORRIBLE "Customer Service" delivered during a "fully covered" warrantee repair on our LG Refrigerator. How did I, and how would anyone, manage to go without a refrigerator for 2 MONTHS while these "Customer Service" clowns work out the procedures for a Letter of Authorization to be granted to a servicer to repair a new refrigerator still under full warranty? They covered the part (although it took several parts which we NOT covered to repair the unit) and labor leaving me with a $500 cost to pay for a fully warranted repair! 2 months and several (more than 6) calls to customer service is enough to teach me a valuable lesson. Fool me once... Never again.

Purchased in June 2021 and after just 3 months of use started to leak from bottom. Contacted LG and after 3 failed attempts to fix, it still leaks. Was told that after their 3 incompetent attempts to fix the issue is due to my leaking pipes not the washer. I was informed of this only weeks after no communication and when after the 3rd failed attempt to fix the repair man confirmed it was definitely the machine leaking. Someone is extremely dishonest. Took my case to the Fair Trade office as all I wanted was a functioning washer, happy for a replacement but after all the dishonesty from Endeavour Repair and LG I'm demanding a full refund. Disgraceful behaviour!

We purchased a TV in November 2021 and within 2 months, a white area appeared on the screen. My husband contacted LG on 1/20/22 for a repair request. No word, so I contacted LG again (spoke with Lin) on 2/9 and was told the repair company was waiting on LG for approval of the repair costs. There was still no word from LG, so I called again on 2/17 (spoke with Lin), which is when I was told there is no repair company to fix the TV and my claim would be submitted to upper management for refund or replacement. I was supposed to be contacted 3-5 business days from that date with information to process my refund/replacement. Still no word from LG, so I called AGAIN on 2/28 (spoke with Kim). This time I was told my claim was never submitted to upper management and that it needed to be done. It would take 7-10 business days for a reply. Again no word from LG, so I called back on 3/2 (spoke with Elle) for a status update. My claim was processed incorrectly (for the second time) on 2/28, so it needed to be submitted for a third time. I was connected to a supervisor (Chris) who supposedly submitted the claim correctly this time and I should hear from someone in 3-5 business days. It was at this point that I emailed the LG president and was contacted by one of the presidential customer service representatives - Sharonda. She also submitted the claim and assured me that someone would be in contact with me in 3-5 business days to process my refund. Did I get any information? Absolutely not. I contacted Sharonda via text for an update on 3/10 and was told my claim was submitted and awaiting approval. I called LG and spoke with RJ (supposedly a supervisor) who stated this claim was submitted today (3/10). I was transferred to the refund/replacement department and spoke with Sundra, who told me the refund was authorized and that my case agent, Camaya Leneer would contact me by EOB on 3/10, which did not happen. Now I'm waiting again, with no resolution to my claim. Terrible service

Dishwasher is 1 week old! Control panel is dead. They are refusing to replace the dishwasher. Customer service speaks no English and continues to read their speech from a book. I am infuriated.

I ordered an LG fridge online. The delivery company was a joke - kept scheduling and then not showing up. Waited 3 times for over 4 hours for delivery. Finally arrived and was installed. I noticed there were dents in the fridge. VERY LONG story - delivery company says it's LG's issue. LG says the only solution is for me to ship the fridge back to them (!). Once they receive it, they will issue a refund to my credit card. I can then order a new fridge. I can't imagine this taking less than 4 months, which is a very long time to not have a fridge. I have complained to the BBB, LG's Facebook page, and even wrote a letter to the corporate office (no answer). The worst customer service I've ever received.

I spent almost 12 hours on the phone so far and have spoken with over 30 people trying to get a compressor covered under warranty that they agree is under warranty. There are no repair people that will work with LG because "they don't get paid". They will not send me the part and state that only a tech can order it but the cannot provide a tech that will. This is total crap. Never LG again. I would not buy an LG pencil.
