The Good: We loved the features and design of our new LG French Door fridge.
Not So: What we didn't love was that it was underpowered nor that it failed miserably at 13 months.
We also didn't love that the appliance salesman never mentioned that LG had lost a class action suit for faulty refrigerators. Because of the class action suit, our 1 year warranty was extended.
After 11 days without a working refrigerator, the LG service technician was able to correct the problem (inadequate compressor which was replaced with a larger unit - LG known issue). Service was ok - just slow. Come to find out LG feels that repairs to refrigerators completed within 30 days of the service call is satisfactory
I bought a new LG dishwasher in 2019. The manufacturer provided a one-year warranty but the motor is warrantied for 10-years. At 13-months the motor failed. Like many companies, LG has off-shored their customer service. This issue with that is those tend to be phone farms staffed with non-company employees who follow scripts; they don't solve problems for customers generally. Moreover, those folks seem to be trained to wear you out so you will go away. They did absolutely nothing for me!
Next, I tracked down a VP of product at LG via Linkedin and he hooked me up with an in internal resource who tried to help, but even she couldn't get the motor replaced. She did send me a check for $500 to cover my costs for the repair technician that should have been covered by the warranty, which is was grateful for.
In the end, I found a motor sitting atop a massive pile of old appliances at a local used appliance store that my technician was able to modify to work in the machine. The dishwasher is working today through no help from LG, although there's a fan that clicks loudly when it starts during the drying cycle, but it's not as annoying as the screaming motor was!
In short, LG's customer (no) support is dismal at best; LG does not stand behind their products. As a result, I found out that very few repair companies will work on LG (and Samsung) products, so you're just buying a boat anchor b/c it will fail eventually. Therefore, I will NEVER buy another LG product! I don't care how sexy or inexpensive it may be, I won't touch them. Buy at your own risk!
Your company LIES AND LIES AND LIES. YOU TOLD US YOU WOULD BE OUT TO FIX OUR LG FRIDGE. TWICE... NO ONE SHOWED!
Hi, I am very unhappy with LG as I want to change Panel for my LG 65NANO85APA tv(used only 3 month old) which is not selling by LG and their authorized dealers and dealers asking me to buy new TV instead of panel. So pathetic and they are not environmental safety and they just do business. Government should bring some regulations.
I'm very upset and disappointed with LG electric range the black paint is fading and is now looking gray in the burners area instead of all black. Call Customer Service they will not do nothing about, just live with it. Called a service tech company, he understood what i was saying. He said that the black paint is NOT permanent! I'll never buy their products again. Customers need to know this information before buying an applicance, I say if it's not permanent paint don't paint them at all!
On one handling the problem and service center reposnse is very low and pathetic don't buy L G Products very bad after sale and service

I ordered a new refrigerator directly from LG partly because the website and customer service advised a specific delivery date. When I called to confirm that date the day before I was told that the date I had been given was 1- the date the refrigerator would be delivered to the delivery service and 2- it was estimated and could be as much as a week after that date. Obviously the delivery date was critical since our old fridge died. If I had been given accurate delivery information, I would have purchased a refrigerator which could have delivered sooner. Customer service was pathetic, repeating the same unhelpful information over and over again. And the icing on the cake was when I asked to speak to a supervisor they told me that I would get a call back within 48 hours, 24 hours after the promised delivery. I will never buy anything from LG again.
Do not buy LG very cheap parts low quality breakdown easily and the very expensive to fixed, do not buy it try another brand
Awful that's the experience I'm having with LG. My refrigerator still waiting for repair over five repairing men came but nothing. I'm still waiting for somebody to come fix the refrigerator the customer service is awful nobody cares about you at LG one person tell you one thing the other person tell your another. I would never ever recommend anybody to never invest their money in LG. I have experience racism disrespect from every service person they have sent I would never recommend it I have a two year-old I'm constantly going to the grocery store because I don't have a working fridge but nobody seems to care they keep passing me on giving me different information I'm very disappointed with LG never have I ever experienced anything like this from any other company I am never ever investing my money on LG product ever again I should've read the review before I invest in my money no management no supervisor people talk to you the way they want to talk to you very disrespectful. Every time they make an appointment for service guy I called out of work but no service guy shows up people tell you different thing the presidential lady texts me but she never follow up or make sure my problem has been solved. LG expects us to wait 2+ weeks for warranty service. This is like no service at all. Unacceptable.
Not to mention that the Dryer has failed 9 months after purchase.
Their customer service reps are in the Phillipines, communicate over very poor lines, and are incomprehensible. Nor are they competent.
I had the incorrect part come with my refrigerator to my home. I called into LG and Deb took care of my request on today 7/13/2022. I wanted to leave a review but I had opted out in the automated system before speaking with her on the call. I just wanted to make sure that she got this review because she was very polite and helpful. Sometimes you call a call center and don't know what you'll get, but she was fantastic.
Customer service for warranty work is just about zero. I will never buy an LG product the rest of my life.
I just replaced my 11 year old LG refrigerator that the compressor went out in. I called LG to check on the warranty and was told that the warranty had expired. I then asked for a referral to a technician in my area. I was told that I would be contacted by a technician with in 7 days and if there was no contact from a tech to call LG back. When I called back I was told that there was no technicians in our area and basically to see if there was a appliance repair company in our area. I called the only repair company in our area and was told that they would not work on any LG appliance under any circumstance. This is the 3rd LG frig that has malfunctioned in a 5 to 11 year time frame. Their products are junk and that is what the appliance repair company told me why they wont work on them. If there was a zero stars rating thats what there rating should be.
I buy LG washing Machine approximatly before 30 month before.
From starting i face many issue in washing machine. I have logged complaint in service center.
I have logged complaint approximatly 20 to 25 times but after repairing the same complaint is arising.
In every service they pick my machine and They take 6 to 7 days to complete the service.
But still same problem is arising.
I face many problem and frosted from LG product.
I suggest don't purchase any LG product.
Bought all new lg appliances. Because our old ice maker quit working and our dishwasher would no longer dry dishes. Well guess what the new fridge freezer does not make ice half the time. The dishwasher does not dry the dishes. All pieces of $#*!.
The worst brand for appliances specially ranges. I cannot believe I made the same mistake twice within 15 years; facing the same problematic digital range. Do not buy any appliances from LG speacilly ranges and save your money as well as time, since you'd need to spend time on extended phone calls for services. I have gone through this three times already on a range that I bought just 15 months ago, so frustrating.
One star for customer service, the employees just follow a script and have zero knowledge. Advice for LG, hire employees that at least know basics of customer service and the appliances they're working for.
Caveat Emptor!
The appliance was purchased in 11/2018. In July 2019, the appliance stopped cooling and freezing. Between July and August, 4 different repairpersons worked on the same issue as it continued to work and then stopped freezing/cooling. After the 4th person, the appliance worked from August 2019 until June 2022. Customer service was contacted about the recurring issue and gave the option of repairing it, replacing it, or refunding the cost of it. I chose a refund. I was asked to send in the receipt and the information tag from inside the appliance and that it would take 3-5 business days to review. After a few days, I checked on the status of the review and was told the initial person did not submit the information for review; therefore, he would do it, but it will take another 3-5 business days. After 7 days and hearing nothing, I contacted LG again about the status. I was told I could not request a refund until a repairperson deems the appliance unrepairable. Please note: any extended warranty you purchase DOES NOT cover this issue. Additionally, after 5 years from the purchase date, LG will no longer send someone out to repair without charging you for the cost.
LG का service सबसे 3rd क्लास सर्व्हिस है, मैं 1 हफ्ते से कंपनी मे मेरे front load washing machine का आउटलेट पाइप change करणे के लिये फोन कर रही हू, तो कंपनी के लोग visit charge 200rs बोलते है, technician 500rs चार्जेस बताता है, इनके technician सिर्फ कस्टमर से extra पैसे निकाल रहे हैं, कंपनी के लोगो को बताया तो बहुत खराब तरीके से बात करते है, lg company के फिक्स visit charges नही है, मै तो बहुत परेशान हो गयी हु, lg company ने वॉशिंग machine का outlet pipe bahut andar lagaya है, जिससे इन के ही technician आये aur वो लगाये, अगर मैं लोकल technician बुलाती hu तो उसके वजह से कोई वायर हील गई तो मुझे फिर से दुसरा नुकसान hoga, मेरा सबसे 1 ही suggestion है LG का प्रॉडक्ट मत खरिदो. Very Bad service
Answer: They have dangerous appliances, and refused to reimburse us for the repair of an almost new (but over 1 year old) oven that was clearly a manufacturing defect (see image.)
Answer: THEY ARE NOT GOING TO SEND OUR REFUND AFTER PROMISING WE HAD SENT THE REQUIRED INFORMATION.
