Terrible Customer Service

Now six days later, another day, another horrible experience with LG. They sent me a $1,000 soundbar that did not work. Took several days to agree to take it back, but refuse to replace it only a refund. Each call to customer service is almost an hour transferred from person to person. And again today, cut off while waiting to be transferred. You can't make this up. If you have to have an LG product DO NOT buy it directly from them.

COLOR ME NOT SURPRISED

I requested a repair of my microwave hood over 2 weeks ago. I was given a ref# for that repair but now that it's been 2 weeks since the request I went online to find out the progress and it's NOT THERE. COLOR ME SURPRISED (NOT)! This is the second time that LG has dropped the ball for repair service. I HAD AN EVEN MORE FRUSTRATING ISSUE WITH MY REFRIGERATOR REPAIR CUSTOMER SERVICE KEPT CANCELING MY SERVICE TO STOP MY COMPLAINING ABOUT THEIR POOR SERVICE. THE CANCELATION COVERS THER LAME BACKSIDES SO THEY COULD SAY THEY NEVER GOT THE REQUEST! THEN 3 MONTHS LATER I FINALLY GOT IT DONE WHEN I WENT TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY, THIS IS A VERY UNETHICAL COMPANY. NO INTEGRITY WHAT SO EVER. SAMSUNG IS SO MUCH BETTER WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMER SERVICE REQUESTS AND GREAT APPLIANCES!

Refrigerator

I dont even give them 1 star. How do you get an appliance fixed by them?! Our refrigerator is still under warranty, and I've been hung up on told something different each time I call, they cant find a technician is there answer. I will NEVER buy lg again and recommend anyone NOT to because they lie, and dont want to fix anything, wont replace, or refund.! Horrible customer service,! Lg is junk.

I have problem with my air condition that leak water. I tried with the company and they give me appointment to come and look at it, but unfotunately they did not com. Then i called them and complain then they told me that they will come later. The technician came and did not do anything. Then i called their manager and promised that they will fix it. The technician came after few days and put tape inside the unit. Unfortunately the problem still exist.
I advise all people not to buy split units from LG and I will never buy their product

DON'T BUY LG

They will tell you to buy a bundle of appliances and get a 200.00 rebate! Well after waiting 6 months, they sent me a rebate of $114.94! I will NEVER BUY ANITHER LG PRODUCT! WHIRLPOOL is BY FAR a better choice!

Compressor went out a second time. Lost all our food - AGAIN. We had independent repairman look at it and he told us it should be under 10 year parts warranty. Called customer service and was told that unless we gave our credit card, they would not help us because labor is no longer under warranty. We agreed to pay the repairman but not to give our card over phone. My husband asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they do not do that. Either pay the service fee or disconnect the call. My husband gave his card but the understanding is the repair that will be done is to replace with the same part that will break again in a couple of years. So in about 2 years, I will have to lose my food at an unknown time when this fails again due to the same known problem and I will once again have to pay to subsidize their customer service.

You don't expect a product to not work out of the box after spending a few $1,000s. Service Request is unfriendly to customers... you're at the mercy of a slow process and whenever the tech is available. Several days without a major appliance is an annoyance... BIG time. Not buying another LG item. GE or some other brand that is more reliable.

I have recently owned several LG appliances and both the fridge and the dryer died after 5 years. The worst part is that LG clearly does not care about their customers and their customer service is non existent. They do not have their own repair service so they farm it out to the lowest bidder. You get what you pay for. I ended up junking my expensive fridge and my dryer and many months of fighting with LG. Do yourself a favor and purchase a much more reliable brand like GE!

4 year old LG French-door fridge just... quit working. It's the compressor. It's always the compressor on these lemons (wish I had researched them better before spending $2200). There is a slim chance that it's a freon leak. After two hours of answering stupid questions with online support, I finally convince them I know what the F I'm talking about. It's covered under the 10-year warranty, right? Sure... except there are no techs in my rural area. At all. The other option was to ask a local repairman to come out at least twice. Once to diagnose the problem, then THEY'D have to deal with LG CS to get a "letter of authorization" and have the parts shipped to them, then come back out to install it. All on my dime.

Every repairman I called heard "LG" and took a hard pass. Over the phone. Without even charging me to come look at it. Even THEY don't want to deal the LG CS. Said it wasn't worth their time. Even when the labor was covered under the warranty, it took them MONTHS to get paid.

So, I get to buy a new fridge. Guess what brand it WON'T be? "Lackadaisical Garbage."

I bought an LG refrigerator new from Lowe's in January 2020. 2. 5 years later in July 2022 the compressor failed and we lost all contents of our freezer and refrigerator. We contacted LG, along with several repair techs and it was confirmed that our compressor had failed. We could not find anyone willing to fix it and LG refused to help get us a repair tech and refused to honor their 5 year parts and labor warranty on the compressor. We had no choice but to buy a new unit. I could not believe this treatment from such a large and well-known corporation so I googled this issue to see if anyone else encountered this. WOW now I know what horrible ethics this company has and how greedy they are and how little they take care of their consumers! They had a class action lawsuit against them for this very issue that happened with my refrigerator, and they STILL have given me the runaround and have refused to help. Now, after complaining to the BBB, they are somehow able to find a tech that can come to my house sending someone out to 'fix' my unit more than 5 weeks later. That does me NO good at this point and they know it. What a smack in the face! A refund and reimbursement for lost food would be the RIGHT thing for this multimillion dollar corporation to do.

People do not waste money on LG appliances, especially their refrigerators; you're paying for the looks, Not the quality. We purchased the kitchen suit back in 2019, and the quality is horrible, and their customer service is a nightmare.

We only had our refrigerator for over a year before we started having problems. It's now been a little over two years, and tech has serviced four times. We had the dishwasher serviced twice and the stove three times. We had purchased the LG extended warranty. Call to make an appointment because our refrigerator wasn't getting cold. The rep said the earliest tec was two weeks out.
Ok, we made the appointment, and guess what? No technician showed. My husband called LG to inform them that the technician hadn't arrived; someone from LG said that someone had been trying to reach him to let him know they had to reschedule the appointment, which wasn't true. My husband had no missed calls or voicemails from LG. We had to wait four more days before the technician came out. When the technician arrived, he stated that a new compressor was needed and that we had to pay to fix the problem. My husband explained to him that we have an extended warranty. The technician said he wasn't aware of it. WHAT! This information should have been in his notes before he arrives—lack of communication. The tech said that he had to put in an order for and compressor. On August 24, the tech installed a new compressor. The tech I formed us to wait 24 hours before it started to cool. Guess what? The refrigerator stopped working!

Update. On Aug 26th called LG once again. One of the reps informed us that the most accessible appointment would be September 1st. Which would be six days out, and they claim this is an emergency appointment. I will never buy another LG applianc

I spent 6 hours today, 3 trips to Best Buy, 3 phone calls with LG customer service before I finally returned the rear speaker kit for my expensive LG soundbar. You cannot add rear speakers later, so I've found. Their box with the sound bar I purchased said compatible with wireless rear LG speakers, but cust service (after the third call) said no. Very misleading information, conflicting stories. They don't care about my wasted day trying to get the speakers to sync. What a waste?

Don't order directly from LG

Ordered a fridge directly from LG expecting the best service. Delivery date was easy to schedule directly at time of order. First surprise came 2 days before the installation date when I received a message from XPO logistics and not LG. Day before the date was confirmed again. Later that day I received another message indicating a delivery date change by 2weeks! Called XPO and realized that they really don't care. Please read their reviews online. Current BBB rating is a D- ( used to be an F recently). Trustpilot 1.2, Facebook 1.0, …. Called LG and they just mentioned that this is their contractor and nothing they could do. Terrible experience even before getting my product. Would never order from LG again.

Dear all,
Please don't buy lg products because I bought one lg new refrigerator before 6 Month. This refrigerator is not working last 2 months. I have many times requested to LG representative by mail and call but lg team not responding positively. Totally money wasting on lg products.
So don't buy LG products.

REBATE SCAM
August 23, 2022

Unrealistic terms for the rebate. I purchased on 7-12-2022 and was required to do the rebate paperwork by a certain date, but the website required a serial # to complete. I did not recieve the items until 3 weeks later and the rebate ended before I could complete the rebate forms. Now I am out 569.00, such bull$#*!. The only reason I purchased the freezer with the new fridge is because of the BOGO free option. *******@att.net

LG Sucks

LG is crap. Refrigerator died in only 5 years, ice maker broke in 3rd year and door spring broke in 4th year. After 9 phone calls to LG we gave up. Customer service is staffed with liars and incompetence. This has been one of the worst companies I have dealt with and they have cost consumers a lot of money due to their failed products. Research the class action lawsuit detailing the known faulty compressors LG used in their refrigerators. If you actually get them to replace the failed compressor, they install another faulty compressor that, according to other reviews, will fail in less than two years.

We bought a n LG refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave f stove and within 3 years the motor on the dishwasher went out and the compressor went out on the refrigerator. LG was very difficult to work with in getting problems fixed. Repairman even commented on the poor quality of LG appliances. I will never buy LG again.

I purchased a refrigerator less than 2 years ago and out of the blue the refrigerator stop working. After a million calls, they finally sent a technician to my house, who determined the compressor was broken, on that same visit, the tech made a huge scratch to the refrigerator. 3.5 weeks after, I am still without refrigerator and LG promise me to reimbursed me for all the food I had to waste and for a small refrigerator I had to purchase for survive. They only reimbursed what they considered appropriate and no for the small refrigerator.
I am still with the LG refrigerator down and all the money that I had to spend.
And every time I call, the agent give me a different argument, a different script.
I am really disappointed with the quality of the refrigerator, with the customer service with the technical support, with LG in general,
LG sucks

Known problem with wall ovens burning out if you use self clean cycle. Oven still under warranty. Three service calls and LG was tolby technician they sent that oven has to be replaced. I call for one hour every week, I am promised a call by supervisor and I have never gotten one. 14 weeks no oven. Worst customer service I have ever encountered
