The company's reputation is significantly marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to frequent reports of scams and unresponsive sellers. Users express frustration over the prevalence of non-serious buyers and automated responses that hinder genuine transactions. Concerns about safety and a lack of effective customer support are also prominent, with many customers feeling neglected when issues arise. Although some users have found success in selling through the platform, the overall sentiment leans heavily towards disappointment, suggesting a pressing need for improved oversight and customer service to enhance user experience and trust.

The code written is specifically designed so that the back button on a 'droid is very tight to the pre-generated "is it still available" send button. Also hardly ever does anyone respond when I tried to buy something. At least half the ads must be fake.
God I hate the letgo app! The robot system puts in weird titles for items I'm selling. Their system regularly pulls my ads for no reason yet leaves up ads that are in clear violation of their site rules.
And then there is that button placement issue. I can't even scroll through the app without bumping a button asking someone if it's available or that I'm still interested. And then there's all the people that respond and ask me stupid questions about the item that are already in the ad itself. Or people say they want to buy the item and never respond back. Then there's the people that make arrangements to come buy the item and never show up or even have the courtesy to return phone calls or texts.
The tech support people for this site respond back with a generic reply and sometimes apologize for an ad being pulled by mistake and tell me to repost it again. They ask members to report items that aren't appropriate or aren't allowed on the site but, if I report an ad for someone selling something illegal, they don't really care because the ad stays posted
There are a lot of shady people on this app who do nothing but waste people's time and like to make threats or change their user name and profile picture and keep causing problems.
Oh and then there's the part about people being able to follow you. I don't want somebody following me. I'm not looking to make friends. I'm looking to sell my crap and make some money. What benefit is it to me if someone follows me or likes my ad? I want your cash not your friendship.
This site has so much potential but the people who are running it are a bunch of idiots who must think they are creating the next generation of Facebook and really all they are doing is annoying the crap outta legitimate people who just want to sell and buy things.
Life is weird these days. It's supposed to be the people who do the right things in life make it through but instead these days, it's people who create troubles and harass other people who seem to get ahead. Everything about this app is backwards.
SHOULD BE ABLE TO BROWSE SITE WITHOUT THE FEAR OF HITTING THE WRONG BUTTON! THE AM I INTERESTED BUTTON IS HORRIBLE PLACED.
I don't need you to put an icon up to let the seller know if I am interested. Every time you tap on a listen it tells the seller you are interested. Such a waste of everyone's time. I can't beleive they can't get someone to fix this terrible sight. I'm going to stop using it. It goes on deaf ears. I sell a lot of furniture. It's just not worth the aggravation. 99 % of responses are accidentally sent
I have tried this app this is a computer generated response, I posted a listing then received several people interested responses ( THEY ARE FAKE RESPONSE) I also have posted a fake item super high over priced and my phone kept getting responses continuously sometimes 7 a day. They were all computer generated nobody was interested. Then I received responses from other sellers as if I was interested in their products this started and continued over 18 different products. I never looked at their products I just received messages continuously at 11:15 pm when I'm trying to sleep since I get up for work at 3:30 am this is annoying. I had to delete the app to sleep.
FAKE RESPONSES FAKE CUSTOMERS I WILL NEVER USE THIS APP AGAIN AND STAY AWAY IT'S FAKE
Like the others mentioned, nothing but buyers saying they're interested but once you reply... ghost. I'm about to delete my account!
It's the worst. Authorities should shut them down. Not even sure what they're scam is, but it's definitely playing some game. Constant "I'm interested" replies resulting in absolutely no action. Don't waste your time.
App is terrible. I get so many messages saying people are interested to never hear back from them. People also post junk, I have seen people post things for under $1.00, please if you are this type of person just throw it out and stop spamming my feed with this useless stuff. People that use this app to BUY are extremely cheap and want your items for practically free and have the audacity to ask if you will deliver to them. I am not a postal service, if you want the item pick it up yourself. I also see tons of people selling fake things off as real which is very scary especially if you are using this app to buy second hand items. They should really be monitoring these ads so people dont end up getting scammed of a couple hundred dollars. Too many notifications throughout the day, too many ads. Would rather use Kijiji or Facebook buy and sell
As best as I can tell, most of the sellers are the same and they are doing nothing but data mining. Ads are intentionally vague, requiring a buyer to ask the most basic questions: Example who sells a flat screen without the size, 32", 55", etc? Who sells a bed frame without the size? Twin, full, king or Queen? Majority of ads are like this. Once you make contact asking said questions, all communication stops. It's actually creepy.
Have 350+ ads posted running an entire gamut of categories ranging from Antiques to Wheel Covers. Receive a few dozen Replies Daily mainly, "I'm interested!", "I'd like to Buy it!", "Hi, Is it still available?". Always assume the Sale because, in my experience on other Selling Sites, these Replies are indicative of a Buyer actually Buying the Item. A Buyer doesn't send one of the above mentioned Replies without genuine intent to Buy. However, Not on letgo! Most people send one of these Replies because all they want is for someone to send a message back to them without any intent of Buying. Many who messaged that "I'd like to Buy It" immediately blocked me after receiving my Reply as to whether they were paying me Cash if meeting in Person or paying me via PayPal (Shipping Included) if Mailing. Some asked me to Text them and offered me Western Union Money Orders or Cashier's Checks. They're from the CL Scammers Crowd. One, when asked if she was truly interested in Buying or just taking a Survey when messaging "Is it still available?", told me I was an idiot because of course she was interested in Buying my Item. Why else would she ask about availability? When I replied back, "Yes, it's still available", I never heard from her again. Some Buyers ask me questions about Price, Condition, Color, Vintage, etc. that have already been clearly answered in my Ad Title or Ad Text. Plus all my Ads ask the Buyer to "View Photos to Determine Condition for Themselves". When I message back that their questions are answered in my Ad Title or Text and that they should go Re-read my Ad for the answer, I'm told that my Reply back to the Buyer was "Very Rude". Most Buyers admit to never reading my Ad before asking me questions. Must be setting my Expectations too High by presuming that a Buyer reads my entire Ad before messaging me with a question. Other Buyers attempt to CONvince me that my Prices are "Insane" and that they'll Buy at a Fair Price, for them, which means a 90-95% Price Reduction from me. All told, Lots of Work to make a few Sales. EBay, costs and all, is more time effective.
People will say "I'm interested" when all they want is for someone to send a message to them. Don't waste your time!
My experience is this: My husband and I were looking for a used travel. We found several. As soon as we asked when and where we could see the trailor or motorhome, the seller stopped communicating with me.
They want a certain amount of money, which they post along a photo or photos. Many times the photos are horrid. You can't really even tell what the object is.
If by chance you ever are allowed to see the vehicle, it is filthy and in disrepair wasting your time.
I believe most of the postings are either a scam, or very misleading. Too bad, because it ruins the app for honest buyers and sellers.
Intrusive! Full of bugs and glitches the app overtook and had control of my desktop and changed and locked me out of my default settings and search engine. They have nerve changing the defaults without asking. The title and description kept dropping from my listing
I had to do it over and over again. A big waste of time! The worst of the worst!
(Operating system windows 10).
Every add I put up people tell me to text them. As soon as they get you're number they sell it and you start to get calls from tekemarketers
DO NOT Sell on this app if you're professional about business, live a private life, and don't want provocative Men trying to contact you about buying an item but instead trying to go on a date with you, and you have a Boyfriend. So I was selling a 8 Ft. Garden Arch it's for your garden, or can be used for an outside wedding this buyer was interested in purchasing the item so he messaged me on "Letgo" so I asked him "What would be a good time so we can meet, and you purchase item?", and he replied "Anytime! I'm home all day so whatever time is good for you. What's your address? Here's my number!", and I replied "How about 1pm? Also I'll be in town handling some other business we can meet at McDonald's sounds good?" then he replied "I hope I'm not busy that time." but the thing is he told me that he was available at anytime but of course I still kept in professional, and didn't say anything about it, and I replied "Ok!" so I messaged him around 12:45pm letting him know "I'm leaving to go uptown to handle business, and I'm about to stop at McDonald's so we can meet.", and he didn't reply back on "Letgo" so I texted, and called him from a "TextMe" app number I don't give out my real cellphone to certain people he didn't respond, and then 5-6 hours later he replied, and said "I'm so sorry I missed you I was busy. Maybe tomorrow we can meet, or I'll have my Sister meet up with you, and purchase the item from you.", and I said "OK!", and didn't me a time. So I contacted him by phone around 12pm no reply back, and then at around 1am in the morning he replied back, and asked me "Hey how are you doing Beautiful! What size do you where in jeans? I bet you have a nice body?", and he didn't say not one word about purchasing the item, and I saw the text message so I blocked him on the "TextMe" app, Letgo, and changed my number on "TextMe" just so unprofessional, disgraceful/disgusting, and same another buyer tried the same thing must of been him under another account so I blocked the rest of the "Letgo" buyers, and took my for sale items off so nobody wouldn't contact me I know it's proactive Men everywhere on social media, and in person but "Letgo" is worse. For now on I'm only doing online selling, and shipping.
I've listed multiple items to sell on Letgo and Offer Up and I've sold everything on offer up. With Letgo there must be a glitch in the app because I constantly get people saying they're interested and then I message them back and they don't respond OR they have no idea what I'm talking about. This app has not been useful at all and just caused me unnecessary aggravation.
I constantly get messages from buyers in error. And I have also sent several sellers messages in error just from thumbing through site. Have no idea how it happens. It's almost like they need more ### message activity to show investors or something.
I have sold one item in two years, I like concept but it isnt thought through, not well executed. Site is annoying with nuisance messages alert all the time. Time for me to delete this app.

To hell with letgo... I've listed 4 or 5 pieces of audio gear(hi end) and its the same ol"I'm interested" when I say its still for sale. Nothing. I think letgo uses bots to simulate and potential buyer. I tried to close my account... 2 days later, I get another "buyer" interested in something, I had listed... but I thought I closed my account? I'd list my sh@t with the Taliban before Letgo. Hey, Letgo... find a flat rock.
I have a very nice HDTV and stand on the site. No matter how low I go on price, no one contacts me. I initially and mistakenly listed it as free and it seems everyone on the site wants it. Freeloaders is what it should be called.
Months ago I was so unhappy with uncooperative, unwieldy, out of date Letgo, that I posted all that unhappiness in a review on Sitejabber. So I left Letgo, and started a sales life elsewhere... unhappily. Months later, Letgo got the message, and oh boy, it's now a breeze. Even using my old android tablet, no issues! Reprieve! (Let's hope all this lasts. Also, after several years selling on the web: I never, ever take a check. Cash only. I had one guy "buy" several hundred dollars worth of my stuff, later to tell me by phone he had no cash and he'll pick up this stuff and could I stake him until payday? Uh, no.) Never heard from him again. Just advice from a long time seller----no checks ever.
Answer: I worked as a reviewer for several sites and when they have very little reviews or no reviews people like me are paid to say how great they are. You can verify these in Amazon reviews some of them praise items like there is no tomorrow full pages of nice reviews. When you see the contradicting reviews go for the bad one is the honest one.
