The company's reputation is significantly marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to frequent reports of scams and unresponsive sellers. Users express frustration over the prevalence of non-serious buyers and automated responses that hinder genuine transactions. Concerns about safety and a lack of effective customer support are also prominent, with many customers feeling neglected when issues arise. Although some users have found success in selling through the platform, the overall sentiment leans heavily towards disappointment, suggesting a pressing need for improved oversight and customer service to enhance user experience and trust.

I wouldn't even give Let go 1 star but the overall flow of the app is nice BUT finally had to delete Letgo because I was either getting inquiries about items I wasn't selling or people texting about an item I hadn't inquired about. All. Day. Long. After reading a lot of other reviews I realized that if you just look at an item to find out where it's located *boop* you get a text back from seller answering my supposed text "Is it still available?" about an item I merely looked at, or a buyer inquiring about an item I'm not selling and have never seen before... Hey! Letgo! I let go of your app. Fix your algorithms! I'll stick with Offer Up. Did you hear me? OFFER UP.

Really Annoyed Former Let go User
I needed to sell my goid stuff at a low price because I need medical help. I am dying. They kept kicking me off and they lie that they have customer service. I have been trying for weeks with there dummy phone numbers, dummy live help and their prewritten emails. I have 4 degrees including a PhD and have my own business practice for 15 years. They need to be shut down. I spent all my time in this site hoping I could get some money at least to take me to the doctor since I am too sick to get there myself

It used to be worse in some ways, now it's worse in other ways. It seems that even if you don't hit the button that says you're iterested, it goes off anyway and starts a chat when you were just looking. This is troublesome. The next MORE troubling thing is the notifications that automatically go on and stay on until you turn them off. Then you can't delete chats or inquiries that are way old and clutter up your chat screen.
I have listed many items of different value and I have yet to sell one item. I would get dozens of inquiries "Is it still available?". When I answer "Yes". Nothing else happens. It almost feels like people get paid to create an illusion of demand with these fake inquiries.
Tried looking for some things under 'free'. Halfway down the page it froze. One of the items I clicked on listed as 'free', the individual had listed prices on. It's a huge mess and now worth the time
Like a lot of ppl on this page, let go messages ppl that Im interested in items I had no intention of buying... only clicked on it so I could see what it was. Its embarrassing to have to message 10 ppl every morning that I did NOT send the text. Its got to the point that Im afraid to go on the app... since letgo sends messages on my behalf... Im afraid Ill have to text ppl every morning that it was a mistake. Thought I was clicking something inadvertently... but made SURE nothing was clicked and it still happens! And the notifications? ANNOYING. Emails? Everyday. I feel violated. Offer up you end up sifting through more junk, but its easier to use and not so intrusive. Craigslist? Its dangerous and full of weirdos and scumbags. Im back to amazon for the little stuff and offer up for the big stuff. No problems with either one of those apps.
Terrible app. They took me off for "review" and then said it was a mistake and put it back but all my new listings were gone and old ones came up many of which were already long sold. Then they had this automated woman assistant that said she would take your listing off and repost it. I tried it two times and she took it off ok, but DID NOT relist it and I had to manually put it back on. Terrible programming. I'm an Ex-Programner and they should have tested it more thorouly in my opinion.
I HAVE TRIED AND USED OTHER APPS AND SITES SIMILAR TO LETGO. LETGO IS FAR SUPERIOR IN EVERY ASPECT OF BUYING AND SELLING. LETGO HAS MADE MY LIFE MUCH EASIER AS I'M SELLING ITEMS I WOULD OTHERWISE THROW OUT IS DUE TO MY WIFE WANTING MORE LIVABLE SPACE IN OUR HOME. FROM START TO FINISH, IT SEEMS AS IF THE LETGO TEAM HAS PUT A GREAT DEAL OF THOUGHT INTO THE USER EXPERIENCE AND THUS MAKING USING LETGO VERY EFFECTIVE IN ACHIEVING ONE'S DESIRED RESULTS.
So confusing when you upload and is not mobile friendly. I was booted off the app for using the word sex when responding to an irate buyer. I think offer up and craigslist are better by far and craigslist is horrible.
Theyll erase items for no reason. The suggestions for items are always wrong. Now I have someone from letgo Allison harassing me if she can sell items for me... umm... I do have it posted so... no thanks. Texted me a dozen times yesterday. Cant block her either.
I have sold many items on Kijiji & Craigslist every time we move. I have been using Letgo for many months now & find the people responding are either not really interested or want it given away. I have even posted free items & they want it delivered! If you look at the times many of them respond to ads, it's the middle of the night. If you want to actually sell things and for a fair price don't waste your time responding to the majority who say "I'm interested " because they're not.
After posting several items... More than not people say they WANT an item. Then don't respond... Stop wasting peoples time!
*Also the site need to be more USER friendly..
Your updated version made me delete your site because you made it suck. I used your site because it was the best till you changed it so it doesn't save my personal settings and because of the way you send me notifications that I'm not interested in receiving. Sorry but you screwed up big time. Good Bye.
Constantly getting automated "I'm interested" responses without any serious buyers. I feel like I'm already running in circles with this platform. There must be a more efficient way this site can run things.
Note to seller- The app sends out auto messages when a potential buyer or browser like me a "window shopper" just looks at your item... The more I browse the more letgo sends out auto messages. I have politely answered sellers letting them know that I didn't text them. But really, this letgo app is so frustrating! If I was one of the annoying people that texted "is it still available?" Or "I'm definitely interested" I'm sorry... I DIDN'T DO IT, REALLY. I have deleted this app! Maybe I'll try again later because the concept is good. AGAIN SO SORRY.
Up front, my cyber skills are limited. Too, I am a moderately rigid linear thinker. These two qualities made Letgo a challenge for me.
Learning curve is steeply painful.
1st... you can't take perfect pictures with your camera and use those images. Letgo hates them. OK, but, Yo, Letgo, you couldn't tell me this up front?
2nd... the logic path for posting is colorfully twisted. So, now you know you have to use only your phone for photos and you upload one. Letgo 's option at this point is... DONE. You haven't given a price or description or anything other than post a picture, but Letgo's only option is DONE. So you hit DONE and then... only then... other options for description and pricing become available. Think DONE refers to pictures and I am too dim to know that? Only when you hit DONE like you are finished... can you add more pictures.
3rd... the class of people that respond to you. Nothing is absolute, but I can't even count the number of CHAT messages I get that say I AM INTERESTED (one Of Letgo's prefab messages a buyer can send a seller) and then, after you respond, you NEVER HEAR FROM THAT PERSON AGAIN. Apparently, letgo tries to rate people to suppress this behavior, but I've had lots of 5 star folks disappear after reaching out to me. Catastrophic? No, but genuinely annoying.
4th. The chat system... sucks. Awkward, cumbersome, prevents you from cleaning out people or messages you no longer want, and has some Byzantine format of rearranging messages after you speak to someone that makes you have to hunt for their message subsequently if you want to continue that conversation.
Hey, I have sold some stuff, but it was only after a few weeks of getting beat up until I learned their torqued system's likes and dislikes.
When I'm scrolling to see what people have for sale, it's too easy to accidentally press the interested button. I keep sending messages to sellers letting them know I'm interested and I didnt push anything on purpose. Then it forces me to respond & appologize to the seller...
So frustrating & annoying!
I've downloaded this app twice and deleted again with the I'm intested in the window all the time I accidentally hit it and notify someone. People get mad because of it won't ever use it again
They need to re-do the app because you can just be scrolling through to see what people have for sale and if you accidentally press something it will send a message to the seller letting them know youre interested and you didnt push anything to do so. Maybe they need to put that button somewhere else. How annoying is that?!
I have only been on the site for 2 days but sold 2 things. Both buyers came through. I am sure we will have some bad buyers but right now I am happy. Granted I am not selling high dollar stuff and I could easily just drop it off at Goodwill A few bucks is a few bucks. I sold a blender for 25 and a scooter used for 6. Better than the garbage. Update: I have listed several things since the first sale and nothing. I also have had people hit the "I'm interested" button and don't hear back from them.
Answer: I worked as a reviewer for several sites and when they have very little reviews or no reviews people like me are paid to say how great they are. You can verify these in Amazon reviews some of them praise items like there is no tomorrow full pages of nice reviews. When you see the contradicting reviews go for the bad one is the honest one.
