Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

Wrong RX made and after several calls and email correspondence, they offered me a discount to remake them again as a way to extract even more money. This is their scam.
Then absolutely will not refund due to their mistake. (Lensabl's competition had to remake new lenses and got it right first time and was 50% cheaper)
What a hassle. Had to get my money refunded via my credit card company. Update: Lensable then tried to sneak a second CC charge months later. Absolute Fraudulent company.
I ordered lenses off the website and shipped my frames. My lens order was rejected twice, with a week's delay each time. It was over 5 weeks before my frames were returned. The lenses are not as ordered because the website doesn't match what's actually available. The website issues resulted in a negative experience.
I was excited about ordering the bose as I love bose products. The group lensabl is new the market and learning. The communications could have been better at the beginning but they did improve the lens passed the quality check the second time but that delayed my delivery and that's where the communications broke down. BUT like I said they improved and I'm glad they took the time to get it right. But also the reason why they get a 4. Now let's achieve a 5!
I was skeptical about how my frames would be adapted from prescription clear lens to non-prescription sunglasses. The ordering process was easy, the options were amazing, the completed product received timeline short, the end product received met my high expectation, and the price was reasonable. This experience has opened me up to do more business with this company. Keep up the good work!
Lenses seem a little off. Maybe the blue light blocking element is making it hard for me to see.
New Year's Eve shopping to spend my "use it or lose it" Health Savings Account Money before the end of the year:
I understand the holidays will have a time lag for lenses to be made, shipped, delivered and received. I was in no hurry. These are a "nice to have" item - and the Rx receipt will meet the requirements of my spending account.
My Rx did not have the Pupillary Distance (PD) measurement printed on it. Directions for an alternative were sent from Lensabl to account for this missing info. I sent the "credit card" picture info ASAP - I kind of wish I would have went back to my eye dr and got the exact PD, as it seems "just a hair off"
My Rx printout from my Dr. had three different prescriptions, which included (computer reading and Safety type glasses) for work - so A tech from Lensable reached out to ensure we would be using the correct information- rather than risk making the wrong prescription.
I appreciate that
When I first sent my frames in for new lenses, they came back and I could not see through them. It was as if petroleum jelly was smeared on them. I sent an email to Lensabl's Customer Service and received a reply stating that they would look into the problem and asked me a few clarifying questions regarding my prescription and eye distance. I resent the info and the frames. After a short while, I received the frames a second time and the lenses were perfect.
I received an email with the first go around telling me when to expect the glasses, but did not with the second. I was going to call to inquire, but they showed up the same day. I wasn't sure initially if things would be resolved to my satisfaction, I was skeptical, but I was very happy with the end result. I would use Lensabl again in the future. I do think they are a little expensive as I was able to get new frames and lenses elsewhere for about the same cost. But to get just lenses, this was the place for me.
I reached out to support saying I couldn't use my polarized lenses as they didn't work on any screens. The first support person was helpful but then a second support person interjected and said that the order was fine. Will never order from lensabl again
Had them refit a sunglass frame with Rx lenses. Good lenses but expensive (IMHO). Should have been half the price but didn't have much time to search for better pricing. Bottom line they did what they were paid to do. Nothing special stood out.
You put the wrong lenses in each eye and then would not refund my money. Complete fail for someone who claims there lenses go a meticulous review process before sending them out. That is not a small mistake to warrant a remake. I had to quickly get glasses made somewhere else. Either way - refund or redo - you are still losing the money since you cannot reuse the lenses.
The replacement lenses seem to be exceptionally good quality. I compared them to my last gasses I got from from another company and these were superior.
Long turn around time but satisfied with results. I had to email customer service because I had been waiting more than two weeks for my glasses to get back to me.
I sent my own frames and to have them made into prescription sunglasses. They worked out perfectly. The shipping was fast and the service was amazing. Thank you.
They completely ruined my glasses, I sent them back, they failed to fix then, and refused to refund my money or make it right. Rudy in customer service was rude, unprofessional and should be fired.
I sent in 2 orders, one for my husband, one for me. My husband's order was great no issues and he's happy with the prescription. My order had an artifact in the lens, a number that imprinted into the coating on 1 lens. It's next to impossible to photograph but it's in my field of vision. It took an hour with customer service to have them agree I should send it back, I sent it back and nothing was changed - they kept the old, incorrect lens with the artifact in it and sent it back to me like it was fixed! I haven't bothered to send it back a 2nd time because I don't want to deal with the same run around I did the first time to have them ignore the issue again. It's great when they do things correctly but problems don't get addressed, really, at all.
I sent in my favorite frames for new lenses. I waited over three weeks to get them back. When I did, my favorite frames were bent completely out of shape, and the lenses were unusable because the reading range was so far down at the bottom of the lens that they're basically useless. I asked for a refund, only to realize that I will never get one. Then I got a response from a bot. When I said I wasn't going to respond to the bot, A human responded to me. That person then told me I needed to go somewhere like vision works or Empire vision to go and get measurements made so that I can give those measurements to you and get proper lenses made all while hoping that my favorite glasses don't get bent any worse, broken, or get another pair of terrible lenses.
Purchased frames and lenses, after i received them a competitor had the frames on sale, Lensabl offered a price match but took a 15% fee; if I knew this I would've only bought the lenses from them
First of all it took a very long time and several follow up phone calls to get the order completed.
My progressive lenses are not lined up correctly. It is difficult to read, have to push the glasses up. Frames came back all stretched out and I was told they cannot be heated to bend frame because a lenses are inferior quality and will deform with heat. Not worth the savings!
I love lensbal and am a very loyal customer. This order, not so much. I paid to have the lenses changed after not having a lense reading. After going to an optical shop and having the frames measured for my sight, the frames and lenses that I recieved were way off. I left the country and was not able return them in the two week time frame. I guess I am stuck with them. A very expensive experience.
Sent my vintage Cazal 905 frames in to have new lenses made. Like a fool, I included the vintage case to protect them. When they arrived, Lensabl told me they couldn't make the lenses and wanted to charge me $25 to return them. AND they lost the case. Worst online experience ever.
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
