These people are stupid and I would suggest for everybody to stay away from them. They gave us false promises like they would have our DBA in a couple of days but be warned, going through them will take about 2 weeks to just get a DBA approved. We thought we would have our EIN # by now and they new that my husband had another sole proprietorship company name and he gave them the EIN# for that DBA. Legal Zoom should have known that you only hold 1 EIN# when you are a sole proprietor. We found it out when we did the research ourselves last night. We used them because we did not have time to figure everything out on our own, so we thought they would know what to do and they DON"T! DO NOT US LEGAL ZOOM!

I've had to make several calls about a simple DBA that I could have done myself. There is no follow-up and after making three phone calls I was on hold listening to elevator music for over an hour. TOTALLY UN ACCEPTABLE. I think I am going to go back to paying an attorney or doing it myself. After finally speaking to someone following a 30 minute wait I was put on hold for an hour wait. My timer on my phone is now at 58 minutes and 45 seconds. HORRIBLE WAY TO DO BUSINESS.

I started the trademark process with legalzoom. Seems like they only knew forms but no background information on the process itself. They made me add more and more classes and charged right away. Only AFTER the classes were defined and paid for, they want to charge me another 250$ for a logo search. I called customer service - the impolite rep on the phone tells me "we do not provide legal advice" (how ironic with that company name) and if I am not happy with the service provided I could go somewhere else. Now that really increased my confidence. When I asked him if I missed before that a logo search would be an extra 250 or if that just came up AFTER I paid for all classes, he said it wouldnt have made a difference anyways if they would have told me or not. Another confidence boost! Seems like they cannot give you any information about the actual process at all and jsut collect money for the stuff they talk you into! Sad, absolutely SAD!

I orde4red a simple C corp package in Wyoming. That was August 04, They gave me a completion date of August 18 which seemed long. This is not my first rodeo.
Then I get am alert that my registration was delayed: yesterday

So I called the Wyoming division of corporations and the call was answered in Cheyenne on the 3rd ring. The man that answered new what I was talking about because he processed the paperwork and filled the corporation on August 14. Yet LegalZoom still, reports it is delayed because the state is behind in the work.
I have called, emailed and left messages and I am getting nowhere. I am on hold right now as I called the office at 8am there time. It is now 8:45am their time.
This is ridiculous. I was a long term loyal customer. No more

They took y money in a jiffy and order is on hold due to duplicate name in same state for llc but their customer service never calls back and I have yet to get hold of them once after waiting over an hour at all times

I was on hold today for over 3 hours in total. Hung up on once and had answer other calls on the other. Legal Zoom uses trickery to give you a free service for 30 days, then they charge your card $548 for some Tax Prep Fee. They are going to return the charge but why would anyone want that in the first place. If you want long hold times and zero communication you've found the place.

I order a LLC as a first order and it was relatively simple and painless therefore I ordered a professional corporation package and it was the worse decision I could ever make. All the reps are confused and useless. They make false promises and add cost towards the end. More importantly they waste so much time because it seems like they are clueless as to what they are doing. Initially it cost me a little less than $600 then 2 weeks later they said I needed to pay $110 for consent. I replied is this the first PC they created because I answered all the questions correctly before giving me a quote. Now a month later they are putting my order on hold for the 5th time because now they need my to fill out a form and it must be mailed (not faxed or emailed). I don't think I will ever get my incorporation. STAY AWAY FROM LEGALZOOM you rather pay a little more and go to an accountant or lawyer because everyone at Legalzoom has no idea what they are doing.

I wanted to rate legalzoom a zero but it's not possible on this site. I ordered $514 worth of products and almost a month later still haven't gotten the documents I ordered. I called customer service. 2 hours and 6 customer service reps later, no one knows where my documents are. So I call customer service again and talk to a female named Spencer. I tell her my situation and tell her I don't trust the company and want to cancel my order and get a refund per the 100% satisfaction guarantee. Her response - no. She just straight up said, no I am not going to cancel your order or give you a refund! So I had to contact my credit card company to get my money back and dispute the charges. I also contacted various agencies and submitted complaints about this horrid company.

Had question regarding Business License package I purchased for $79.00. All I got back as a response was to contact another company they contract with. When I contacted the third party, they had no idea what I was talking about. When back to Legal Zoom, and received no responses from email to customer support, and don't get me started on getting someone on the phone. I have never written a bad complaint about a company, but this company is the worst I have ever seen, and deserves this review.

The process with LegalZoom is totally ridiculous because nobody you speak to is a lawyer, and every time you call the person has to spend time reviewing notes, and either way they know nothing more than regurgitation - hardly customer service. And when I booked an appointment with a lawyer from their network they were no help. If you don't have enough money for a lawyer you would probably do better to spend a lot of time reading up online and trying to do it yourself than wasting hours and hours on the phone and on hold with LegalZoom "customer service." If you can afford a lawyer just get one. They ultimately got the job done, but it took so long and it wasted SOOO much of my time it was utterly ridiculous! Avoid!

My purchase of their service for my small business was fine. Then they started charging my AMEX card $29.99 a month for a service I did not request. I called customer service and was told you don't have to agree to the service, the service is automatically given to you and we start charging your credit card unless cancel it.
He said when I was purchasing legal document services it stated somewhere in there that they will be automatically enrolling me in some sort of accounting service and they will automatically be charging my credit card. Anyone who has purchased anything from this company knows that they throw a lot of jargon your way and wording your way when you're making a purchase. It's very difficult to catch every single little thing. That's basically what they are counting on. That is where the trickery comes into play. They are hopeful that you missed the spiel about them charging your credit card automatically for a service you probably don't even want. Basically, they take the decision out of your hands. I paid for services pertaining to my small business and they began charging my credit card money that I do not have to spend. It's disgusting. I will NEVER use them again. They automatically charge you for a service yet they never contact you to discuss said service and they never send you any documentation on this service or how to use the service that they are providing you, because they know if they did, you would immediately contact them and confront them on the fact that you did not ask for that service. Then they wouldn't be able to charge you in disguise. I couldn't be more disgusted. They are literally taking food from my family's table... And forget about recouping any money. Talk about taking advantage! They deserve a zero for being misleading and deceitful in a legal way.

Customer Service is not available by phone during advertised hours. I've tried twice now — the first calling 20 minutes before closing time, the second (today) 2.5 hours before closing. I called back twice, to make certain there wasn't some glitch, but no, they just put you through prompts, state their [obviously inaccurate] hours, then the automated system hangs up.
They also state in email inquiries, "One of our Customer Care Specialists will review your inquiry and respond within one business day." My first inquiry took them 5 days to respond. I've sent a second, unrelated inquiry and it's almost 24 hours. Not holding my breath.

I am so glad that I did not pay legalzoom for any of it's services. What I did do was a free entity name search. According to them, I was supposed to hear back from them in one hour, yet I haven't heard from them yet, and it's been over 24 hours. I called their customer service and waited 30 minutes, but did get through to anyone. I put myself in their queue and have yet to hear back from them. I will not be using their services to set up my LLC and neither should you!

I have placed several calls to legal zoom regarding an account that I pay for and their automated system sends emails to me on things I am suppose to do. I have been on hold for more than an hour without anyone picking up. I have tried their automatic call back and have never been called back. I am a small business and don't have time for this kind of poor services. I will have to look into other options as LegalZoom has let me down.

We used them a few years ago to file a trademark. Of course since we are not lawyers we had a few question but they could never give us guidance or advice. Oh they didn't mind doing the transaction and taking a payment but we were completely on our own. To make a long story short the trademark was rejected and we spent a lot of money for really nothing. Our advise would be to avoid them and find an honest and recommended attorney that has trademark experience and can actually answer your many questions.

I EMAILED AND PHONED THEM TELLING THEM NOT TO AUTO WITHDRAW MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT, BUT THEY DID IT ANYWAY, TWICE. HAD TO GET MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO 'STOP PAY' FROM LEGAL ZOOM ON ANY FUTURE ATTEMPTS.

I signed up with LegalZoom to create a Living Trust (Big Mistake). I went on line and completed the forms that requested information. But being a College Graduate with a Masters Degree, I apparently did not know the legal definition of the items that were presented in plain English. Accordingly I had some questions that needed to be answered. That is where the trouble began an Monday I stayed on the line continually fro 8 hours. (I have unlimited calling privilege and a speaker phone that allowed me to wait) At the end of the 8 hours and several requests for a call back. I gave up.
I canceled my order, demanded my money back. Also, I have instructed my credit card company to void that transection.
