I processed an LLC through Legalzoom and they processed it with the incorrect business name. Then they charged me $150 to make the name right. Then they notified me of upcoming compliance issues and had me complete part of the compliance package which I had previous paid for and charged me more to complete it. Then after completing the compliance package and paying more fees, they prompted me through email to complete the same process as if I hadn't done it already. Then to top things off they have stalled the process of submitting the name change with a document I'm supposed to sign which I don't have access to and they claim to have emailed to me, which they didn't. If you have the rest of your life to wait and an infinite amount of money, definitely waste it on this company. They'll screw it up royally for an extra charge.
I contacted Legal Zoom after hearing about them through two men in the supermarket as they discussed their complete satisfaction! I immediately searched them when I returned home due to a pressing need of my ministry's corporation. Julia Routon was not only warm and compassionate but also thorough and professional. You are better off searching for sample documents on the interenet. These are boiler plate, nothing special. From my experience using companies like this only creates problems when you have to hire an attorney to fix it and it cost more money to fix or the attorney can not fix it or worst yet you expose yourself to huge liability that could been avoided by hiring an Attorney in the first place.

Ordered an LLC that was supposed to take 15 days. I input the name in all lower case, not knowing the state corporation commission does things in all caps. The state misinterpreted the first letter of the name. All of the other paperwork came through LZ in 30 days with the name I had typed. The order spent over 3 days in the LZ department that checks all spelling and such, and they didn't catch the error, in double the time it was supposed to take.
I called and let them know on noon Thursday. They said it would be 2-3 days for them to research the issue. Called noon Tuesday, they said I would not get a call back that day or Wednesday, but after then. Called Saturday, and they said I was misinformed, their research takes 6-7 business days.
It is quite obvious what happened since all of the paperwork matches EXCEPT the state. If the state only uses all caps, they should have submitted the application in all caps, not the way I input the order. We are paying them to know theses things and not cause unnecessary issues. And they should be trying to correct issues STAT.
LZ charges about $150 to do a name change on an LLC. I'm expecting them to blame me for typing in all lower case, and stick their hands out wanting more money. Thinking of disputing the credit card charge of the original order.
LZ finally called about the name error. Although they were supposed to be 'researching' the issue for the 7 business days it took for them to contact me, the caller sounded like he was reading the complaint for the first time when he spoke to me. Maybe someone else researched it, and he was the go between, but that's not how it sounded. They offered to get the name fixed with the state at no charge. I told them not to bother, I already had gotten it done with the state in less than 2 hours a week ago. I did that after my second call with LZ when they told me it would be another 2-3 days before they would call me back. It was an extraordinarily easy fix and the state rep was kind, considerate, and even called me to make sure the email with the changes came through.
LZ did offer, and I accepted, a $140 refund. That is the difference between the 15 day service I originally paid for, and the 30 day service I received. Nothing else.
The response from LZ on this site said a manager would be calling me. That never happened.

I have used the Legal Zoom app twice. For my last will and testament and most recently for a power of attorney. The will order went without any problems at all. When I ordered the power of attorney I made some really stupid mistakes (forgot to give my agents any authority). I received an email within minutes to contact their team to call them because of a problem they had encountered. I called and the gentleman I spoke to was so kind and gracious. I felt like an imbecile but he was so very understanding. He resolved the issue and sent the POA to be processed. I received another email stating the document would be mailed by the 12th of the current month. On the first of the following month I still hadn't received it. I called to inquire on the delay. The website indicated it was still being processed. I spoke to Hailey. She located the document and apologized profusely. She even advised it would be overnighted to me the following day. Received it right on time. I can't say enough great things about the Legal Zoom team! They are always so kind and professional. Wish I could give them 10 stars!

Have used LegalZoom before, and it turned out to be a good buy at the time. Needed to revise, and this time found the site to be very confusing up front (before input). If you are putting together a Living Trust, the biggest problem is making revisions. In many instances, there is just no way to navigate back solely to the items you want to revise without having to click through the entire document. Very time consuming. Lastly, there is the constant push for $$$ everywhere you turn!
I recommend LegalZoom to others and have been able to have the freedom and independence to expand my creativity with safe structure.

Avoid like the plague. I thought it would make setting up a simple LLC with federal and state forms easier. Still fixing their errors weeks later and spent way more time than it would have taken to fill them in. Zero customer service despite having bought the "Gold" level. Finally you are paying them to have aggressive and incompetent service providers call you.

This is the second time I have used legal zoom, and it will be the final time. The automated dialing robot you have is ridiculous. I received 7, yes SEVEN calls in 50 minutes. I was trying to have a conference call, but kept being interrupted by 7 calls in 50 minutes. Call, leave a message, I will call back. Also, when I answer, a robot then puts me on hold and asks me why I'm calling. Well, since I didn't call you in the first place, I have no idea why I'm calling. I'm then called by legal zoom to be placed on hold again, and given the option to be called back when it is my turn which starts the cycle over completely. I've spoken with 2 customer service reps. Andre was fairly nice, however he was abrupt and short. The second rep was extremely abrasive. I have nothing good to say at this point other than my paperwork was filed with the state. That's it. I'm so utterly annoyed by your phone call processes that I will block your 800 # from my phone once my order is filled. Today it was 7 incoming calls in 50 minutes and it was 7 in 49 minutes the other day, and when I answered, I was put on hold. I have NEVER dealt with any organization that schedules calls every 5-10 minutes. It is unacceptable and quite an interruption in my day. If there is enough of an issue for someone in customer service to need to speak with me, why is it too much trouble for a human being that is capable to solving the problem to pick up the phone and dial and leave a message if no one answers? I guess you're trying to streamline your workflow with complete disregard for your customer's time and work needs.
Update to my review 7/26/2016: Today I logged into my customer account to check my order status. There was a message that I needed to call customer service as there was a problem processing my EIN. I called customer service. I was on hold for 46 minutes before I was able to speak with someone. Once they verified my account, they then put my on hold again to read notes. I was then told they don't know why that error message is showing. It is only getting worse with every correspondence.
