Do not pay for the Express Gold package believing it is a 7 to 10 day turnaround as stated on the LegalZoom website. It is now over 10 days past the 7 to 10 day window I paid extra for and am being told it will be another 7 to 10 days. Why pay $359 for the $149 service?

Called to resolve a billing issue where I had cancelled a monthly service, but was still being charged. Zander Pady assisted me and was able to look up my previous request to cancel and refunded all the previous months I was billed for within a couple minutes. He was very easy to work with and you can tell LegalZoom does a great job at training their staff or hiring the right people. I've called them quite a few times to discuss various items and have had pretty good service every time!

I became a widow a few weeks ago. I have been trying to get a change of agent on the LLC we did through legal zoom. Per my attorney they do not understand what a Trust is. You have to wait on line forever. They cannot seem to open emails even though I have cc'd my attorney and he can review what I have sent. Then they look at what you have emailed and you wait another 2 days. My husband had cancer and usually would have just gone to an attorney... he thought this would save us money. This has been going on for several weeks. I am now on hold again. I spent at least 3 hours yesterday on hold and tossed around to various people at legal zoom. USE AN ATTORNEY... IT WOULD BE FAR LESS EXPENSIVE AND LESS STRESSFUL.

When I set my account up I used my personal email not the business email ( I was getting help with an LLC) which was OVER 6 weeks ago. I called. Got Joe on the phone. I asked him to help me with my order and to see if I could get copies of the invoices that they charged me. He directed me to the website. I then asked him to change my email from my personal to my business. HE supposedly did and now I can't log in with either email address. Not only that. I signed up for the 1800Accountant and now that access has been denied too. I have $2500. 00 in charges on my CC and nothing to show for it. I should have called a local attorney. At least I would have something for my money besides more gray hair. Horrible experience.

I put in this order almost 6 months ago for dissolution of an S-Corp in New York City. The process is still incomplete after numerous instances of miscommunication and incompetence. The most recent example came 2 months ago after I submitted all tax information to NY State and received a consent letter for dissolution, which I emailed to LZ. I called them, spoke to a customer service agent, ascertained that they had received the copy of the consent letter, as well as the fact that the ball was in LZ's court and they will following up on getting clearance from NYS. Having not had any progress updates for 2 months, I called in last week to discover that they had spent 2 months NOT following up.
I kept my temper and was calmly reassured by the customer care agent that she was going to personally follow up with my order and expedite in whatever way possible.
So one week later, I get another one of their convoluted callbacks saying there is still a problem with my order.
Which brings me to their infinitely stupid callback system. If the call is initiated by LZ to a customer, why have the customer go through 5 stages of hold and then still not be able to talk to whoever initiated the call because there is a 20-30 minute hold. When a customer is answering your call, at the very least you should show some courtesy to said customer and have someone on the line already! The inefficiency of this system is mind-boggling!

READ THE FINE PRINT when you sign up for ANYTHING from legalzoom. Just discovered that I've been being charged $15/month for a 30-day free trial that I was apparently supposed to cancel 30 days after I signed up to just create a living will. The $15/month was supposed to be for free revisions to my living will which turned out to be wrong as well since I was still being charged for revisions on top of the $15/month. Closed my account with legalzoom and will NOT do business with them again.

I paid legal zoom 159.00 to dissolve/close my business. They closed my business but continued to charge me to maintain it. I'm being charged 29.99 a month for business advantage pro renewal, 548.00 a year for essential compliance, tax preparation, advisory package renewal and 159.00 a year for registered agent renewal. There is no way for them to provide any of these services on a business that is closed/inactive, so I don't know why they're still drafting my account for these services. Also they charged these bogus fees to my expired BOA debit card. I'm not sure how BOA managed to let that happen. Don't use Legal Zoom! They over charge for everything and as often as they can. Don't let them do automatic bank drafts from your bank account. Don't do it; you'll be sorry. Now I have to try to work with them, the bank, the better business bureau and the state to get my money back. Ugh, this is just a wast of my time. I hate Legalzoom!

I'm in the process with them for an LLC, it started 2 weeks ago and I paid for the two week package, the misspelled the business name it got fixed, then they send me an email I needed to contact them no explanation, more than 20 min on hold, they tell me the name might get rejected by the state we go forward, then they put my order on hold again because they had issues with my address, it was misspelled. Fine mistakes happen however everything was fixed by the 30 th of last month and then when I called to check on the order they told me they waited am extra 7 days to file it and I'm livid there was no need to wait that long. If I'd known this was going to happen I would have done the entire thing by myself. So now I have to wait two more weeks to see what's going on and can't start my business yet.

There was an error in my initial filing for an LLC, and the representative that helped me-Joseph Kim-clearly communicated what he was going to do to fix it as he took me through the process, step by step. I signed up with LegalZoom to get an LLC three weeks ago. Since then, I get a nasty email from them every week stating my account will be closed if I don't contact them. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes each time, I then have to explain everything to the rep who eventually tells me that I need to send in a document. It would have been a lot easier had they just told me all the documents that were needed up front or even when they sent the email. I used them to save time and each week I'm spending an hour on the phone just to find out what documents they need. I noticed in the other complaints here, the LegalZoom representative's response was always "please contact us." Needless to say, I'm on hold with them now. If you're considering them as a way to save time, you won't.

Courtney's fantastic, she went above and beyond. She took me through each step of adding services to my LLC, then did the extra research for New York State to answer my specific questions. I never had to wait for a response and she was always professional and upbeat.

I purchased the bundle because I want to know that when my time comes there is no question about my intentions. LegalZoom support staff was always there to answer any questions and walk me through to complete the documents. I would recommend LegalZoom for any documents.

I filed for what should be the easiest DBA process with Legalzoom and the process has been so painful. Address was incorrect on the first set of paperwork (which was partially my mistake) but it took them 10 precious day to realize and advise they needed additional proof/documents. It has been 4 weeks I have filed and I still havent received my documents to sign (not even sure how long the DBA will take after that). Every time you call, there is at least 5 to 10 min wait to speak with someone. You have to repeat the same story to every customer service rep. You speak with and then they place you on hold for another 5 to 10 minutes for nothing; they are never able to give you a clear solution to your issue or a clear order status update. Extremely frustrating!
