I tried the Legal Zoom estate package. Although ti was OK, it was not totally complete. After spending numerous hours reading the documents and consulting with their attorney, it became clear to me that I would have to either purchase additional legal services to prepare and or change documents for it to be complete and accurate, or find it online. For the price and my purposes it was fine. I used the legal phone consulting service a few tmes for personal legal needs and found it helpful, and so overall a good value.
I am taking moment to express my sincere thanks to Joseph Kim, Legal Zoom CSR, who has been invaluable is in providing his knowledge and guidance in setting up an LLC. While he did not dispense legal advise, he did help in my understanding of setting up an LLC and walked me through the step-by-step process. This was on several phone call. His energy level, attention span and follow through was truly an Olympic Gold performance. Thank you, Joseph!

They are not a good service. Will lock you into fees and reoccurring payments then tell you to pay them again to change any paperwork or file anything else. Terrible customer service. Not a good company. They will authorize payments on their own behalf without your consent.

They have a robot call you once if you dont get the call the account is on hold untill you check it but their Payment is certainly not on hold!
Then when you call in they state their a j missing on your name some where is that how you want it paid extra to get it done in 7 days it has been almost 2 months now and the attendant had the nerve to be extreemly rude!

The dashboard is sleek and the sales people amazing. But once you start the process you end up spending too much time correcting the staff (wrong data entry), deal with conflicting information (name available but then not available etc...) and receive conflicting information from different customer service staff; can get EIN, cannot get EIN...
I used the service to make my incorporation faster, ended up spending twice the amount of time compared to doing it myself directly with the state.

I've been in the customer service and human resources industry for nearly 10 years and when I hear and/or see talent it doesn't go unrecognized. The customer service and personability that was given is truly immeasurable, as what was provided didn't seem as if I were just another number but rather, the knowledge and help was comforting, and really removed a lot of the stresses that one would normally feel dealing with customer service. Great job LegalZoom for hiring a great talent; it's definitely been a breath of fresh air from what so many people have been accustomed to and expecting.

I should have read all the reviews before placing my last order but I had used the service in the past and was reasonably satisfied.
This recent order involved the placement of an order for a non-profit and appending the order a few days later to add EIN and 501 c 3 application support. Bundling the order initially would have probably saved me some money but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do when I placed the initial order.
Turns out I got a letter in the mail a few days later stating that my initial order was complete but since I did not place an order for the EIN and 501 c 3, I had to secure these items on my own. Confused, I called the company to inquire. The first customer service person who picked up the phone was very polite and told me that the person who took the initial order did not connect the 2 orders and since I had initially checked "no" for help with EIN, the letter was sent. He said he had to transfer me to sales to reorder. I was unhappy but decided to go ahead and replace the other.
I was transferred to someone who started to ask for the same information I had just given to the other fellow so I asked him if was was able to see the comments that the initial person said he was making to the file so they would know what to do upon reorder. He went off on me like a mad man yelling at the top of his lungs. When I told him I was a paying customer and demanded an apology he got even louder so I asked to speak with his supervisor, this triggered even more anger. "I AM THE MOST SENIOR PERSON HERE" he yelled. I asked for his name and he yelled "JOSHUA", "MY NAME IS JOSHUA" and then abruptly he hang up the phone on me.
I got no response to exactly what happened to my order, no opportunity to reorder the EIN and ultimately no resolution for a service I paid over $750 for. I would urge everyone to read the reviews and shop around. You deserve better service and of course, more respect.
I think that was my last order from LegalZoom.

LegalZoom has been my go to for LLC's and Trademarks since 2011. Just recently I experienced the best over the phone order and support to date.

Second time placing an order with legalzoom. Attempting to do a simple out of state filing on behalf of my employer. Used legalzoom since I am no expert (even though it is just a simple one page filing I figured I am better off paying a little extra and ensuring it is done quickly and correctly). What a huge mistake. It still isn't completed and the order was placed in July (writing review on 10/21). My managers ask about it daily and I look completely incompetent when I have no explanation.
After about 1 month of waiting LegalZoom reached out for additional information. I provided the info and didn't hear back for another ~3 weeks. Keep in mind this is a simple filing. They called to say an additional fee was required. I wanted to speak with a manager to cancel the order because it took them 7 weeks to get to a point that we should've reached in 7 days.
On 6 separate occasions I have been told I will receive a manager call back within 48 hours. I have spent countless hours on hold and on the phone trying to reach a manager because out of 6 times I haven't received a call. Once or twice is okay. SIX TIME WITH NO CALL BACK! Who do I talk to? Everytime I call the service agent says "Wow I do see you have multiple requests. I am so sorry I will make sure they absolutely call this time." SIX TIME!
I have been trying to cancel the order for two months but I have to speak with a manager to do so otherwise I don't get my $250.00 back. HOW DO YOU SPEAK WITH A MANAGER WHEN A MANAGER WONT CALL YOU?
Never again. I deal with dozens of service companies for work and this is BY FAR the worst one I have ever dealt with. AT&T, DirectTV, Comcast are all a breeze compared to LegalZoom.

Legalzoom are aware of what they are doing, but when it comes to making updates or changes to something, it seems like the expertise stops. I've had them change the address several times because they cannot get it right (although spelled out on phone and repeated back to me, I've emailed to them as well). They've called to state that the specimen wasn't sufficient, I submitted a new specimen and it was approved. When they submitted the trademark for approval, in both my trademark cases, they attached what they specifically had said was not sufficient (Both orders). This is a poor way of handling customer service. Legalzoom needs to understand that picking up the phone and having a person there doesn't really mean that customer service is good.

He answered every question I had perfectly and helped me create an LLC-choose a bank-accountant and attorney for my business! I am more than disappointed with Legalzoom and their slow service... I have been working for 3 months trying to get my application for a non-profit completed. I have gotten nothing but the run around with the standard... "we have 7 to 10 business days to process your request"! 7-10 business days... right... IT'S BEEN 3 MONTHS! When I once again called to get a status..."Shannon" got snippy with me and told me she would "but in a return call request to the supervisor which takes 2-3 business days". I would like for someone at LegalZoom to call me back ASAP!

Don't hire Legalzoom. Your dissatisfaction gets worse as they continue charging after you cancel. You'll have to cancel them at the State level. They rank in the top ten mistakes of ones life.

I was transferred over and over and no one really tried to help me until I spoke with Africa and she was great. The guy that transferred me to her told me he wouldn't transfer me anymore and put me on hold and did anyway. I'm shocked that a company that makes so much money from people and really doesn't do much for them can't have better service.
