I'm assuming that this is legit and my card is not charged since I cancelled the trial shortly after creating and printing what I needed.

Very pleased with the process of how it worked. It is NOT free tho!. You have a "trial" period, but during that time, you CAN download paperwork that you have made with the site as well as print it out. I done what I needed at the time and then canceled the subscription I done in order to print it out.

I was able to find and print out the paper I needed, only to find out before it would let me print free, I had to put in my cc # even tho, it said no charge. Then I find out if I don't cancel right away, I will be billed $49.95 a month. I couldnt find how to cancel because everything I looked up to cancel said to go to my name in upper right corner, except there was nothing there until next day. I would have been willing to pay for the paper I printed out, but that was not an option. Ive been hit with Fraud several times and I really hate leaving my cc out there for more fraudsters.

The form was not correct for Missouri. Luckily the person at the recorders office was able to cut and paste and fix the form so I didn't have to redo them.

But the real catch is buried in the fine print: a 7-day "free trial" that automatically converts to a recurring $49.95/month subscription unless you cancel exactly within those 7 days. Miss it by even a day—due to life happening, forgetfulness, or simply not needing the docs after all—and they lock you in.
In my case, I signed up under extreme circumstances: I was about to donate a kidney in just 3 days and needed advance directives/power of attorney docs "just in case" for my spouse. The stress was immense, and yes, I forgot to cancel during the trial window. Turns out we got solid documents elsewhere for free, never finalized anything from LegalTemplates.net.
They still charged me for **two full months** (~$100 total) and flatly refused any refund or credit when I contacted support. Their response, Sorry but it's in the contract. After this review shows up, they will offer a generic reply they slap on every negative review to maintain the illusion of good customer service. Meanwhile, hundreds of similar complaints flood BBB (274+ in recent years) and other sites about unauthorized charges, refused refunds, and cancellation difficulties.

Save your screenshots of everything (signup, trial terms, cancellation attempts), dispute the charges with your bank/credit card immediately, and steer clear entirely. Better yet, use AI tools like Grok, ChatGPT, or free resources from reputable sites (e.g., state bar associations, Rocket Lawyer trials with clearer terms, or even plain Google searches for public-domain legal forms) to get what you need without the risk of surprise $49.95 hits.
I paid $100 just to learn this lesson and leave this warning: Stay far away from LegalTemplates.net. Your wallet and peace of mind will thank you. I would post a receipt but they don't email anything saying they charged you! (diabolical)
