I started my first non-profit organization with Legal Zoom. The process was well explained and took under one hour to complete. I will have my tax ID number in under one week. I highly recommend Legal Zoom for all of your legal needs.
I had a query that I needed resolution and used the Chat. I wanted to start the compliance calendar service but the option for my organization was disabled. The Agent was able to find out that the compliance calendar was converted by another subscription and I did not need to subscribe twice. The agent was able to satisfactorily resolve my issue.

I asked for Legal Zoom to form a corporation for me, paid the price to have the corporation filing expedited and they failed to file the correct paperwork. When I pointed out that the name on the paperwork was incorrect, they failed to fix it in a reasonable time, leading to having a lapse in being paid for work i'd completed as I needed the work to go into the corporation account which i couldn't create until after I had the EIN number. As of today, I still do not have a corporation with an EIN number and am unable to accept payment because of their error (the order was placed on 1/9 and it is 2/5). I have called their customer service multiple times and they are very "sympathetic" but don't actually do anything to fix the issue. I also emailed several times and still have not had my issue addressed. Please avoid this company and use someone else or a real attorney, after all their fees and "gotchas" you actually pay just as much to go with Legalzoom as you would with a real attorney and they don't do the job right. Very unhappy with this whole ordeal and would never recommend this company to anyone.
