When my dad retired he was given several VHS tapes of speeches he'd given during his career and testimony in DC regarding nuclear power. At some point these were given to me, but I didn't have a VHS machine. Since my dad is deceased and he was a well known expert in his field, I thought these tapes would be important and interesting for our family and for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. I had 10 tapes transferred to digital format and the process was seamless and the quality outstanding. I highly recommend Legacybox for converting VHS tapes to digital format.

My grandmother had an old reel to reel tape recorder which she used all the time when I was a little kid to record the grandchildren and her and my grandfather. He played the accordion and she played the guitar and sang. My uncle finally sent me 5 reels he had saved. I was in tears listening to my grandparents play and sing again after not hearing them for 40 years. Thank you Legacybox for doing such a good job. Now all the generations to come will be able to hear them.

I always wanted to watch my old movies I had in storage, but didn't have the proper equipment to do so. Legacybox gave me the opportunity to convert them into CD's and I'll be forever grateful My deceased parents had been brought to life again, allowing my family and siblings to enjoy, laugh and cry all over again. I saw information about Legacy Box on social media and checked it out. They were running a special and I thought I would start with converting VHS since I no longer have a VHS. Then I realized I inherited reel to reel footage from family members. Due to the cost to convert, I started with 6 reels and was impressed. It unlocked so many family stories and traditions we did not know about and send the files to family as a gift. The entire process was only a few weeks and updates were frequent. Due to the reel to reel age, we were unable to capture audio, but the video was spectacular. The curators use the same techniques to digitize video in Hollywood.

Okay so I have heard and read about these type of services that would take my valuable film memories and turn them into a modern digital format. I was skeptical but took a chance on LegacyBox. Not only did LegacyBox deliver as promised but even exceeded my expectations. Their customer service was responsive and polite and treated me and my films like I was their most important client. I have already placed another order. If you are thinking of doing this do not put it off any longer. You will be pleased with the seamless process. Start to finish.

Legacybox did a wonderful job restoring my comforting them into digital files that I can view on my computer. I can edit them with software and copy the files. They are wonderful gifts to give to family hat I can give copies to my family and friends. I've uploaded many of my videos to my YouTube channel so people can enjoy them across the whole platform. The majority of reviews here are for videos of some sort, and the videos we had processed were done well. Very few address photos, and the problem with LegacyBox processing photos is 1) in the order processed and 2) not being able to process photos of a certain thickness. The thickness restriction of the machines I understand although it should be mentioned up front. The order of processing is a definite issue. You receive labels to put on your packages, and those labels have a sequential number on them. That sequence should be followed but is not. I understand that photos within a package may have a processing problem and have to be out of sequence, but in general photos should be processed in order since order and chronology matter in viewing.

We have had a lot of different media digitized by LegacyBox - 8mm film from as far back as the 1950s; VCR and audio tapes dating to the 1970s. I was a bit sceptical about being able to transfer them to digital but LegacyBox accomplished it successfully. It was wonderful to be able to show our children those films of their grandparents and parents from those years. And, it was fun to hear performances that I conducted - just great memories. LegacyBox has done well by us - turn around time is good, our digitized results have been excellent and I think that they are priced well. I highly recommend them. Larry Parsons

My old 8MM tapes had been forgotten in our basement for many, many years - probably over 25 years. I heard about Legacy Box on FB and decided, "why not". I sent tapes in the pre-packed box that was sent to me when I registered. It took a while, which I expected, but OH what an amazing turn out when I finally received my USB drive. The 8MM turned out to be as far back as 1950, maybe older, my Grandparents Italian basement parties, my Dad going into the Marines, my parents getting married, and Christmas's from my baby years! I was crying after watching this amazing footage. I can't wait to share with my Mom, since she hasn't seen her own Wedding footage from 1963. Thank you Legacy Box!
