These are nice boots. I was unsure of what size to order, so I went with my shoe size. I wear 10 1/2 in most shoes, and 11 in chippewa steel toe work boots. I ordered the 10 1/2. At first,I thought I would need to exchange for 11. The boots were pressing tightly against the top of my right foot, and I couldn't wear thick work boot socks. It is a fairly snug fit with regular socks. I decided to just go for it and see if I could break them in. I walked around for about a day, and then I tried a stretching trick over night. I put shoe trees in and also stuffed a rolled up sock into the boot, right above the trees. I wrote then again the next day, even went on a ride. They seem ok now. I would say, just order your boot size. They really do seem to be great boots. The tops of the boots do hit your legs, so bear that in mind.

Bought these to retire my 20 yr old Doc Martens. I probably would have gotten the 13 in. ones but they were out of stock. But now I think those may have been too tall. These fit well, I ordered my regular shoe size (10.5). They were too loose with regular socks, but feel good with thick wool ones. They are a little loose in the heel in that it comes up when I walk, but they stay on just fine. So time will tell, I've read that is somewhat normal with new boots. After wearing for about an hour, I can feel them on my feet.. but I am used to lace-up footwear or none at all. Soles have good grip. I will probably see about putting some leather waterproof conditioner on them, since they are a matte finish. I'll always wonder how the 10s would have fit, I probably should have bought both and just returned the ones that didn't fit best. But overall I am happy, and love my new boots! Ordered on Saturday night, got them on Thursday. So great overall experience.

I can say that these boots were an excellent purchase and are as good as anything out there.I put them on the next day they arrived and wore them for 10 hours, without and pain or problems. As for the quality I have compared these boots to many costing 3 times as much and the quality is just as good. The finish is great without a blemish. I also like the orange colored safety sole. Delivery was very quick only 8 days after I placed my order. I am very happy with these boots and plan on buying a second pair of Xelement boots.

Why are so many people so quick to judge quality based on price? I've read some comments talking about how this boot or that boot is better because of it's name brand, or that something is the "Cadillac" or the "Harley" of its type. These boots arrived promptly and were exactly as advertised. They were cofortable right out of the box, no "Break in" period required. I'm a musician and a biker, so I spend countless hours on my feet in these, and I can tell you: they're as good as anything out there. Tough, rugged, good-looking, comfortable, and yeah, AFFORDABLE!! In my opinion, that puts them in a class ABOVE the rest, not below! I'll be buying from these folks again, and soon!
