I originally ordered the mesh jacket, model #CF-509 as I figured it would be great in the Florida heat. When I received it, it felt like it was made of cotton candy. Was able to return it and get this model. Love this one even better! Feels more sturdy and doesn't weigh a thousand pounds. All the armor can be readily replaced, and the liner is easily removable. The liner is really thin, but then, who needs it in this high heat? Really moves, and breathability is great, although the vents on the forearms do not wick away moisture too well. The rest of the jacket vents fine with the two vents on the shoulders and two on the back. Overall fit, the arms are perfect, length is perfect, but it is a bit loose around the middle. May take it to a tailor to get Velcro reworked so as to cinch it up a bit(feels about 2-3" too big, but not too concerned).

The pockets are roomy but could use a few more. One looses some pocket space when the liner is taken out. Could have at least kept a pocket on the inside as there is space for it. It does have one on the inside of the main jacket, but then again, not too worried about it. There are two zippered pockets on the outside that have a decent amount of room to hold your general stuff(cell phone, e-cig box mod, extra juice, small flashlight, multi-tool, candy bars, etc.) and still have room in the other pocket. The coloration is superb! I wanted something that would stick out during low light conditions, and this looks like the color of Mountain Dew that was a victim of Chernobyl! I love it! To make it stand out a bit more they should have added reflective piping.

In conclusion, this is my breakdown of what I feel about this jacket:

Adjustment in chest area(could stand to tighten up more)

No reflective piping

Loss of 1 pocket space when removing liner

Too soon to really rate Durability, but otherwise we're very happy w/this jacket. Bought for my wife to replace a 6-yr old FieldShear jacket that, while still OK, had too much black fabric exposed to the sun for our often hot & sunny travels; also, it was a Men's cut. This jacked is sized Women's L, provides ample room for under garments but the sleeves are perhaps overly "generous" (long); she's 5'6", 145#. Construction seems excellent, has nice features (adjustable straps in all the right places), zippale insulated liner. Did not come w/a rain liner but we'll use the one that came w/the old jacket (works either on or under the jacket). Padding is much heavier than old jacket too; overall the jacket is a bit heavier but hoping the breathable textile mesh will prevent overheating. At $75 this jacket seems like an excellent value.

I'm 5'7, 34" waist, 170 pounds, medium build. I ordered a medium and it fits perfect with the exception of the sleeves being about 1/2" long. I'd rather have them long than short. It's a great looking coat, zippers all work nicely and the finish of it looks good too. The liner is attached via little snap tabs that go through loops in the sleeves and at the perimeter of the inside of the coat. I found them a little difficult to undo in the sleeves; they may be difficult to get to to put the liner back in, in time I'll find out.

This is a heavy coat, especially with the liners in. The first thing I did was remove the liners. Here in Northern Nevada it is in the low 50's in the moring and mid 90's in the afternoon. My experience to date is that this coat without the liners is a bit chilly in the morning at 53 degrees and pretty warm in temps above 90, except of course when you're moving.
